A former NFL insider doesn't think the Steelers will risk Howard going to the practice squad, especially if he has another outing like he did last week. The intel is that Mike McCarthy ‘loves' Howard, so it doesn't seem like he would take the chance of losing him. Jeff said Drew Allar is the one QB that has nothing to lose in the Steelers QB room. Jeff expects to see a lot of Roman Wilson and Germie Bernard last night because he isn't confident DK Metcalf or Michael Pittman suit up. Has Lew Nichols thrown a wrench into the RB3 battle? Jeff told the guys we could see Broderick Jones play both tackle spots tomorrow night. Jeff doubts Max Iheanachor will play and why that puts him behind the 8-ball to be the starter at right tackle. The guys asked how much we will see Robert Spears-Jennings, who has taken advantage of some camp opportunities. Why has Spencer Anderson been mostly untested at right guard? Ben Cherington said after the trade deadline yesterday that the Pirates looked around for bats or position players, but didn't come to an agreement or find a deal that they liked. Poni says that he still thinks the day as a whole was a win for the team. Joel Nesbitt said that the Pirates should have made a trade for a right-handed bat to make the day perfect, which the guys agree with. Jack Hillgrove from WTOV joined the show. Jack says that the story of the day at camp was chippy-ness. He said that Sebastian Joseph-Day and Mason McCormick go into a scuffle, and so did DK Metcalf and Keeanu Benton, somehow.
