What would you do if you found yourself and your children living out of rented cars? What if you even went from motel to motel looking for one that had a free breakfast so the kids could get a meal before they went to school in the mornings? What if a "friend" offered you a place to stay but it was a con-dim property where black mold was present and you began to have pulmonary issues because you stayed there? Well these are just a few of the daily life challenges Caron LeNoir faced upon reintegrating into civilian life after dual service in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. Sit down with us in the House Call Community as Caron takes us on a journey that is so often not talked about; homeless women veterans. Once you listen to this conversation we challenge you to see how you can make a difference by partnering with Women Veterans Interactive or Rebuild[h]er.

Mother's Day is a lovely time for many and a not so happy time for others. On this episode Michelle and Ricardo speak with LaTasha Rowe, a successful attorney, who had her first son at 15 years old, then attended college and law school while her son remained in his grandparents's care primarily. Then Tori Hodge, a substance abuse and mental health counselor talks about her journey and decision to have her ex-husband raise her sons. Finally, Ginger Miller, a Navy veteran and founder of Women Veterans Interactive talks about the battle moms who have been deployed face while they are gone and upon their return. Finally, Christine St. Vil, founder of http://momsncharge.com/ stops by to talk about how mom can take charge of their lives after motherhood. It's a little longer than an hour but oh so worth it!
