    Turkey Hill Trail and Wind Turbines - Amish Road Show

    http://www.amishroadshow.com Today we're taking you on a great hike along the Susquehanna River on the Turkey Hill Trail. The trail is located on River Road, just south of Columbia, Pa next to the Turkey Hill Dairy. The Turkey Hill Dairy in co-ordination with PPL, and LCSWMA installed two wind turbines that provide the Dairy with about 25% of their power usage. The trail leads up near the turbines with an observation deck looking out over the River. Warning: this is a moderately demanding hike with steep inclines.

This is a great park with multiple trail stretching across 1105 acres of woodlands. The trails range from beginner to more advanced, but of course the highlight for us was climbing the observation tower. This is definitely a great destination to take your family for a day in the woods.
