Tucked away in the wooded hills of Lititz, Pennsylvania, the Wolf Sanctuary of PA offers a permanent home to over 50 gray wolves and wolf dogs—animals too wild for domestic life and too misunderstood for most traditional shelters. Since its founding in 1980 by the Darlington family, the sanctuary has grown into both a rescue haven and a powerful educational resource, helping the public understand the complex nature of these majestic canines.Support WITF: https://www.witf.org/support/give-now/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In this episode, we're talking about one of the most overlooked yet essential tools for church outreach today: search engine optimization (SEO) and making the most of Google. Whether you're a pastor, church administrator, or volunteer managing your church's website, this conversation will equip you with practical strategies to ensure your church is found by the people who are looking for it. Every day, people in your community are searching online for answers—some are seeking a place to worship, others are looking for hope, community, or help. But if your church doesn't show up when they search, you're missing a major opportunity to connect with them. That's where SEO comes in. It's not about gaming the system or marketing gimmicks—it's about being present where people are already looking. We'll walk through what SEO actually is (in plain English), how Google ranks websites, and the top things you can do today to make your church website more visible online. You'll learn about the importance of keywords, how to write content that Google recognizes and people appreciate, and why updating your church's Google Business Profile might be the most important five minutes you spend this week. We'll also touch on how to make your sermons, events, and blog posts easier to find—and how small things like page speed, mobile-friendliness, and simple URLs can make a big difference. Our goal isn't to turn your church into a tech startup—it's to help faithful churches reach real people with the Gospel by stewarding the tools that are already at our fingertips. This episode is packed with tips, examples, and encouragement to take small, consistent steps toward making your church more discoverable. If you've ever wondered why your church isn't appearing in search results, how to bring more people to your site, or what Google actually wants from your content, this episode is for you. The harvest is plentiful—even online—and the tools are in your hands. Let's use them wisely. The Lutheran Church in a Digital Age: SEO, Outreach, and Mission blog post Mt. Do the kids in your life have a clear view of the world as God sees it, or do they need some gentle coaching to be shaped and molded into God's truth? This is where our conversation turns to sunglasses… Kori & Lee talk about three different types of sunglass lenses, and why it's so important for children to see the world through God's holy lens, brought into focus by the Bible! We want it to be second nature for our kids to process life through a Biblical worldview because this will guide them to truth which in turn guides them to hope — and we know that Jesus is the hope of the world! We aren't always going to be there to guide them, so we want to be sure they have on their Biblical worldview sunglasses… Ready to hear the 3 types of protective lenses kids need in order to see clearly? Let's go… KORI PENNYPACKER has served with Bible2School since 2011. Two state senators have challenged the right of U.S. citizens living abroad to cast votes in federal races. The country's highest court has sided with Butler County voters whose provisional ballots were challenged by Republicans this past spring. On the final Sunday of a rollercoaster presidential contest, Republican nominee Donald Trump is asking voters in Pennsylvania again to make him leader of what he falsely claims is a “failed nation.” Only a handful of races will determine control of the U.S. House. The 10th District race between Republican incumbent Scott Perry and Democratic challenger Janelle Stelson is one of them. The state Attorney General's office is now working with Berks, Lancaster, Monroe, and York to investigate allegedly fraudulent voter registration forms submitted at the deadline late last month. Today's show opens with the media continuing to perpetrate their latest “firing squad” hoax over the weekend. Even when it's been debunked, all they have left are the hoaxes, lies and name-calling that has become the central message for the Harris-Walz campaign. Whether on the Sunday news shows, Barrack Obama at a rally, Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY), or The Morning Joe, it's all they have left. It's become their identity. In the meantime, thanks to Elon Musk's freedom of speech stance, citizen journalists and investigators are catching more and more voter fraud and irregularities and are able to force local authorities to address it. Before, these stories would be swept under the rug. Not anymore. Kamala Harris gives us another example of how she is scripted, even down to her reactions to separate crowds and events. They can literally play on top of each other and sound the same. On top of that, she refused to weigh-in on Prop 36 in California, her home state, which is designed to increase criminal penalties for shoplifters and drug traffickers. I thought she was supposed to be all for “law and order” now? The FCC gave Trump a gift after NBC knowingly broke the fair-use law and promoted both Kamala Harris and Tim Kaine on Saturday Night Live. They knew it is so close to the election, there would be no way to give trump equal time. So, the FCC Commissioner gave Trump equal time on Sunday Night Football. CNN ran a story about how the Harris campaign says one thing about Israel to the Pennsylvania audience, but the polar opposite message to Michigan. Now, why would that be? And it's interesting to see CNN run what amounts to a hit-piece on her. Victor Davis Hanson reminded us about the long-list of the “unusual events” that have been levied against Trump over the last several years. Danica Patrick actually referenced this same thought in her speech at at Trump rally in Lititz, PA. We close with a horrible story of what happens when an Authoritarian state gets so big that common sense is not allowed to factor into any situation. Peanut the squirrel, an internet star and marketing mascot for an animal rescue in New York was forcibly removed (along with a raccoon) and put to death because of a complaint from some Woke idiot in Texas. They treated the couple like they were drug traffickers. It's a terrible reminder of what will happen if the Harris-Walz regime were to be allowed to run the country for the next four years. The countdown is on - there are just two days to go until Americans head to the vote in the US presidential election. The Donald Trump campaign machine was back in the swing state of Pennsylvania today - this time in Lititz, population less than 10,000. Lititz is in Lancaster County, one of several in the state where Republicans have raised concerns about voter fraud. Corin Dann was at today's rally where Trump was speaking from behind a protective screen- in place since the assassination attempt in July. He told Lisa Owen Donald Trump's sights were on the journalists and cameras he could see through a bothersome gap.

SCS28 – Yes in Lititz PA, 2023 In this Special Concert Series episode of Progressive Palaver Paul and Ken share their experiences seeing Yes in the dress rehearsal for their The Classic Tales of Yes Tour. The show was, as usual, performed at Mickey's Black Box in Lititz, PA. Friend of the Palaver Ken Fuller has previously described the experience at MBB and Paul and Ken's descriptions match perfectly. This show seems to find Yes in a more comfortable, dare I say stable, place as the settle into a traditional five-piece with new music under their belt. The highlight of this episode, however, has to be ken's description of his coming-in-hot arrival at the show. It's a classic Palaver moment! Amish-crafted in Lititz, Pennsylvania, this hoe has quickly become our favorite hand hoe in the garden shed. The hardened steel blade is sharpened on both sides which allows you to cut weeds in both forward and backward directions. Raised Bed Irrigation Kit Our Raised Bed Irrigation Kit contains everything your need to water your raised bed gardens in the most effective and environmentally friendly way. This is not a cheap, plastic siphon mixer that you may find in the big box stores. Note: Not compatible with hose over 50 feet. This is the only Siphon Mixer that's made with brass and that's MADE IN THE USA! Small Drip Irrigation Kit Our Small Drip Irrigation Kit contains everything your need to water your vegetable garden in the most effective and environmentally friendly way. Drip irrigation allows you to use less water while watering more effectively. This is because you are only placing water directly where your plants need it – at the roots. Because you're not watering the leaves, disease pressure and pest pressure will be greatly reduced. You will also have much fewer weeds between rows in your vegetable garden. With overhead watering, many areas of the garden are unnecessarily watered, which results in watering weed seeds and germinating weeds that you don't want to grow. However, with drip irrigation, you only place water underneath or beside the plants and you don't water those spaces between rows.
