The North Island has been hit by rolling storms this afternoon as thunderstorms and lightning darken early summer skies. The Sky Tower took a hit from a lightning strike, while severe thunderstorm watches remain in place for northern areas and strong winds are expected. In rural Manawatu a campground was hit by a tornado that left a trail of destruction in its wake. Reporter Jimmy Ellingham spoke to Lisa Owen.

The caretaker of the campground hit by a tornado in Manawatu yesterday says they're lucky no one was more seriously injured, or killed. Lance Phillips is a resident and caretaker of the Dudding Lake campground, and spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.

In the Bible, John tells us that as Christians we are to walk even as Jesus walked. Surely this is not telling us the mechanics of putting one foot in front of the other. If you go to a doctor or a medical clinic with a physical problem, one of the first things you can expect is for your physician to discover the cause of your ailment. Then the next thing is to try to offer the remedy. The sermon subject for today is "Why Art Thou Cast Down?" The Scriptural basis is Psalm 42, verse 5. We review the third night of the opening run in Manchester, June 22, 2024 then fast forward to the tour closing show: night three at Saratoga, 7/27/25.If you are a regular listener, you may remember Casey and Jenn from their preview of the SNHU Arena in Manchester during the summer venue preview series. They both live in Manchester, and decided to get married before night 1 of that run. That obviously made the night special in its own way, but it wasn't until the third night of Manchester where Phish dropped a Tweezerfest in the 2nd set where everything clicked musically.Then there's the third night of SPAC where Phish played one of the most memorable shows in years. The first set caught everyone off guard as the band blended great, cohesive jamming with unprecedented setlist games, playing Tweezer Reprise to end nearly every song. This week I chat with Heather Mueur who is the owner, founder, and visionary behind The Embers, a glamping and RV resort in Branson, Missouri. Heather and her husband Ryan built and sold an auto parts business, and used the proceeds from that to purchase this abandoned campground.  Heather takes us through the 2-year process of permits, plans, and construction, as well as the financing process–everything from SBA loans to finding investors. I asked all about the additional income streams they created, including an onsite laundromat and coffee shop.
