After the party braved through the Shrine of Valor, they received a message from their ally Vance inviting them to a gala ball in the Capital city of Dol Haran. Though confused at first, they were later informed by prince Nimueh Danah that they would be the guest of honor at this charity event. They decided to head to the capital and attend the event. Upon arriving at Dol Haran, everyone was soon whisked away to be fitted for formal outfits despite the ball being over a week away. While there, Vance informed them that the once illegal underground fighting arena had become sanctioned by the govenrment and now legally hosts several tournaments, including a monthly 8v8 event. Excited by the prospect, the group decided to enter in along with Vance as their 8th. After two grueling matches, the party emerged victorious, the energy of the fights spurring them on to finish their preparations for the upcoming charity ball.

The party traversed their way through the snowy trail from Sirith to the Flat Peaks, where they believe housed a Shrine of Virtue. Along the way, the team's resident dwarf Flank began seeing visions of Krahl Broadhill, the last Champion of Valor. Once the group reached the snow-covered Flat Peaks, they discovered that the Peaks were more than a simple mesa, and actually held the ruins of a village. After investigating the ruins, they group ended up falling through a series of sliding tubes, each ending in a separate rooms. With the party separated and isolated, they found themselves in pitched battles against their inner fears. They party succeed, reached the Shrine of Valor, and learned more about the previous champions. Flank himself received the maul of Krahl Broadhill himself. After being safely teleported back to the Flat Peaks themselves, the group now sets off to find the final Shrine of Virtue.

The party had a tenuous time as they passed through the city of Sirith, where most of the group first met. After a tense and awkward Helm's Day celebration, the group decided it was best to keep travelling onward through the rough snow towards the Flat Peaks, a tall mesa that may be the location of another Shrine of virtue.

The group continued their crawl through the Great Furnace to find a Shrine of virtue. After combatting a long-starved vampire, the party felt the mountain tremble and shake with the threat of a imminent eruption. They found themselves at a cliff overlooking a roiling pool of lava, that was set to burst forth out of the mountain. At the behest of her stone of virtue, Kallista decided to make the ultimate sacrifice and lep into the lava, with the rest of group falling in shortly after. This proved to be the solution, and the group survived the incident, finding the Shrine of Sacrifice within the core of the Great Furnace. Kallista's stone showed the party a glimpse of the previous Champions of Virtue through the perspective of a human rogue named Belaith Pelor. Upon being teleported out of the Great Furnace, Kallista found herself with a new dagger, presumably once belonging to Belaith himself. The group quickly made their way to another potential shrine out west at the Flat Peaks. As they set out of Padun, they realized their trip would have them pass through the town of Sirith, where most of the Champions had first met, and left the town in a less than reputable state.

The party had traversed up the Great Furnace and into a dark cave that descended downward until it revealed a room who's exit was guarded by an aged sphinx. After being unable to answer the sphinx's riddle, the party fought valiantly against it, and ultimately allowed it to die with honor. They then entered a room that split into 3 different hallways, but each was sealed by a stone door and was preceded by a strage stone chalice. Kallista, wearing their recently acquired stone of virtue, began hearing a strange voice compelling her to sacrifice her coin, her blood, and her own memories to open the three doors. Once done, the group went down one hallway together as a group to explore the dungeon. During their trek, the mountain shook and trembled, suggesting a possible eruption in the future. With one hallway searched, the group decided to rest before exploring the other two hallways and potentially, find another Shrine of Virtue

And of course, before we start, a quick refresher. The party set out through the Ravel Pass towards the Drawven village of Padun. On their way, the first encountered another dwarven village called Hargun. There, they learned more about the Great Furnace and the difficulty getting there. After stocking up on some supplies, the group set out again to Padun. They arrived at night, encountering Kilvar, one of the locals of Padun. After a tumultuous morning and being accidentally accosted by the Padun guard, led by Baral, who happened to be the contact the group was supposed to meet. They were led to the Padun court, headed by Baral's father, the Mayor Bael. After a lengthy discussion, the group decided to walk towards the Great Furnace, where they were buffeted by a powerful dust storm. With the aid of Jon's spells, the group made it through the storm and began their ascent up the mountain. Kindra sent her pseudodragon ZuZu up the mountain to scout ahead, finding a deep cave that seemed to house a Sphinx, waiting for the group's arrival.

The party began their sojourn to the Great Furnace, a large mountain that may possess a Shrine of Virtue. During their journey, they came across a gang of fairly incompetent thieves, and though they were able to solve the issue without bloodshed, the incident kept the group on their toes. The journey continued until they were ambushed yet again, not by thieves, but by strage dog-like creatures. After defeating most of the beasts, they spent the night tracking a surviving beast to a cave that was home to a coven of hags. The group's wisdom was put to the test, but they successfully defeated the coven and discovered that these hags had survived for a long, long time and hoarded several relics of a previous era, including a Stone of Virtue, bringing the groups Stone count to 5 out of 6. After a well deserved rest, the party set off back on the path to the Dwarven villaige of Padun, where a contact waits for them to aid the party's trip to the Great Furnace.

And of course, before we start, a quick refresher. The group met with Kellam Danah, second son of the Royal family to discuss the potential location of new Shrines of Virtue. While shopping for provisions around the capital city of Dol Haran, there was a sudden fissure eruption within the capital itself. The party fought valiantly along with Vance and his partner Luster against the enemy hordes that crawled out of the fissure. The city was not left unscathed however. During a meeting held by the Royal Family, the party learned of the harsh toll the fissure took on the city, including the death of several civilians and children. Concerned for future fissures, and hardened by tragedy, the group set out towards another potential Shrine up north, towards the mountain known as the Great Furnace.

And of course, before we start, a quick refresher. The party headed to the capital city of Dol Haran, after being away for nearly an entire year. On their way, they encountered a strange fissure breaking through the earth and exposing burning lava beneath the ground. Not only that, but the fissures seemed to release several large monstrous creatures into the land that attacked the group. After nearly falling prey to the monster's fearsome jaws, the group finally made it to the capital, where they had gained a somewhat celebrity status. While there, they discovered some things to have changed and some things had stayed the same. After reuniting with Vance, who went by another name when the group first met him, they party met with Kellam Danah, second son of the Royal Family and professor at the Lyceum. Together they discussed their findings in the Feywild, as well as potential locations for more Shrines. The party now finds themselves taking comfort in an inn, waiting to meet with the King Faram Danah himself. NOTE: Due to a technical issue, a portion of the podcast was corrupted and unfortunately lost. Check out the description for a written recap of the events that were lost. MEETING THE ENCHANTER The group travelled to the wealthier district of Dol Haran and discovered an Enchanter, one who specializes in imbuing weapons and armor with magical properties. The enchanter in question, an ornately dressed Dwarven man named Zephram, offered his enchanting services at a very high price. Rhogar, ever the clever Dragonborn, attempted to trade his Immortal Goldfish, an item picked up some time ago, for discounted enchantments. The goldfish, named Samwise, was by all accounts a normal, living goldfish. What made his special was that he seemed to be swimming in a jar filled with nothing but air. Samwise didn't eat or sleep, but seemed to swim around as a normal fish in spite of that. Rhogar realized Zephram's penchant for experimentation, and offered a once-in-a-lifetime deal: he would give Zephram the fish to study, and in return, Zephram would enchant several of the party's items for free. After much deliberation, and a combined deceptive effort from the rest of the party, Zephram agreed to enchant one item and offer a discount on all subsequent enchantings. Rhogar agreed to the terms and received an newly-enchanted wand along with signed proof of their future discounts. Spent from their day shopping, the party headed back to the Pot and Quill inn, where they rested for the night.

And of course, before we start, a quick refresher. The party, freshly returned from the Feywild, decided to head to the Dol Haran, the country's capital. On their way they made a quick stop to the port city of Forsen to settle some favors they had earned from Diana and Chandra. Damaris was able to spend some time with his family and everyone was able to get some well needed shopping done. After being away from the city for nearly a year, the group was sad to discover their favorite antique shop in Forsen had closed, and its proprietor Gweneth decided to retire and head north. With their business done in Forsen, the party now heads east to the capital city of Dol Haran, to see what else has changed in the ten months they've been gone.

After travelling to the Feywild to find whoever stole Jon's Amber Ring of Compassion, the group came upon the city of Ithariel, meeting Kindra's mother Kendara. The group then set out for the Arrow of Corellon, a powerful magical artifact that bound the many realms together. They discovered that the Arrow was much larger than they expected and while they investigated the area, they were attacked by Flynn, Damaris' half-brother. The group took to battle with Flynn and his gang as Flynn himself seemed focused solely on destroying the Arrow. Damaris, afflicted by his sword's battle madness, cut a gem necklace off of Flynn's neck. It turned out the gem was essentially controlling Flynn and once he came back to reality, he escaped with his gang. After the battle, the group discovered that the Arrow was another Shrine of Virtue, this one being the Shrine of Justice. Kindra, wearing the Emerald Bracer of Justice, was blessed with the legendary Elven bow Fenthras. As they left back to Ithariel, Damaris retrieved the gem that Flynn once wore around his neck. The group now returns back to the material plane, seeking answers, information, and perhaps clues to the next Shrine of Virtue.

After a tricksy encounter with some Faerie Dragons, they were able to find Ithariel, an Elven city set amongst several large trees. During their attempts to gather information, they met Kendara, one of the upper eschelons of the city court. They also discovered that Kendara was Kindra's mother who left back to the Feywild shortly after Kindra was born. Tense words were spoken, but after time, the group learned from Kendara about the Arrow of Corellon, a mystic artifact that binds the Feywild to the Material Plane. The group now sets off to find the Arrow and discover it secrets, and its power.

The group safely escorted Kallista's mother Diana back to her home in Forsen. For their time and effort, they were able to procure favor with Diana as well as he second-in-command Chandra. They then decided to return to the now-abandoned city of Bryarden and claim it as their own. After bringing Kindra's father Roscoe to the city, the team spent a month reparing as much as they could and make the city habitable for the first time in many years. During their reconstruction, Lau's mentor Elowen Brightwillow, a cantankerous, crotchety Halfling. Elowen taught the group of the Feywild, the Land of Eternal Twilight and the birthplace of the elven race. The party discovered a portal to the other dimension within the large central tree of Bryarden and decided to wait until the following morning before setting foot into the Feywild. However, during the night, a thief managed to steal Jon's Amber Ring of Compassion and use it as way in to the Feywild. Now the Champions of Virtue must travel into the Feywild themselves, fiund the thief, and discover what truly lies in this other dimension.

After traversing their way to the lost city of Bryarden, the group managed to find a tunnel leading to an underground grand hall that lay underneath the city of Bryarden. They were not alone, however, as they were met with the remaining members of the Root Stalkers. In a pitched battle, Damaris unlocked a newfound ability in his Sword of the Seldarine, at the cost of one of his eyes. Driven by rage and combat, Damaris struck down any and all who dare harm him. Unfortunately, he also learned that the sword does not discern between friend and foe in the heat of battle. A wild shot by Kindra landed in the back of Damaris, causing him to attack her in a blind rage. The group was able to put Damaris to sleep and handily defeat the Root Stalkers After defeating them, Kallista was able to find and rescue her adoptive mother Diana. However, there seems to be some disagreement about the true villainy of the Root Stalkers. Were they a simple smuggling group, or were they child traffickers? We pick up where we ended, the group sitting in the Staggering Spirit in the city of Forsen. The rainy season has started in earnest. Let's see what happens next.

The team had been tasked by Chandra, de facto leader of the White Moon thieve's guild to find the guild's actual leader Diana, who happens to be the adoptive mother of Kallista, our resident rogue. After heading westward towards the forgotten city of Bryarden, the gang made an unplanned stop so Kindra the Ranger could reconnect with her father Roscoe after abandoning him several years prior. The gang made camp at Roscoe's hosue for a time, helping with small chores and learning more about the city of Bryarden, which legend says was consumed by trees and thus abandoned. After a minor altercation involving Flank the Barbarian's helm and a pot of glue, the result of which left Flank missing a large patch of hair on top of his head, the group set out refreshed and ready to discover just what lies in the city of Bryarden.
Hail and well met! Thank you for listening to the pilot episode of a brand-new Dungeons and Dragons podcast. I am Derek, the Dungeon Master. This is mostly a side project of mine in celebration of my d&d group's one year anniversary. After live-tweeting several sessions, many people expressed interest in listening to our games as a podcast, and their wishes have been granted. First and foremost, this is a rough pilot. This is more of a proof of concept and there are several issues including audio issues, and small noises. These will be amended in time. If you enjoyed this pilot, thank you! You can tweet about it using the hashtag #champsofvirtue! Thank you for listening. May your rolls be forever high.
