I tu dius "bon vespre"? Joan: [2:20] D'acord. I sí, sí, sí, els hi vaig escriure i… em fa molta gràcia, perquè vaig fer molt espam així per WhatsApp, i tothom em responia amb la imatge, saps? La imatge aquella de: "Ja has votat", no sé què. I jo: "D'acord, d'acord". Ui, Joan… Joan: [2:37] No tinc cinquanta cosins. While Shakespeare was reshaping English drama, a parallel theatrical revolution was unfolding in Spain. During the Spanish Golden Age, playwright Lope de Vega pioneered the comedia nueva, a bold new dramatic form that broke classical rules in favor of fast-paced plots, emotional intensity, and popular appeal. In this episode, scholar and translator Barbara Fuchs shares how the theatrical innovations of Lope de Vega, Pedro Calderón de la Barca, Tirso de Molina, Ana Caro Mallén de Soto, and others, including a three-act structure, blended genres, and complex female roles, helped redefine early modern theater and influenced the kinds of stories told on the English stage. Fuchs traces the rich cultural exchange between Spain and England and the work that she is doing now with Diversifying the Classics to bring plays in Spanish from both sides of the Atlantic to new audiences. Fuchs also discusses her adaptation for young audiences of de Vega's Fuente Ovejuna, a powerful story of collective resistance, whichwill be featured at the Folger's Reading Room Festival on Saturday, January 24.

This conversation is about formation how daily practices, expectations, and leadership shape your child's character and the culture of your home. The core truth of this episode is simple and powerful: Kids can do hard things but they can't do them alone. When parents are willing to do hard things first, everything begins to change. In this episode, Angie shares:Why most parenting struggles are formation problems, not discipline problemsHow unchallenged behaviors slowly become normalized in your homeWhy avoiding hard things now makes parenting harder laterHow perseverance, discipline, and even discomfort produce maturity—biblically and practicallyWhy kids' understanding of authority and God is deeply shaped by their parentsA Simple Goal for 2026:Don't overhaul everything. Start small. Choose one goal: We are going to learn to do hard things.Begin with yourself your spiritual health, physical health, and willingness to take responsibility. Over time, hard things become habits you love, and those habits transform your family culture. When parents lead with courage and consistency, kids learn they can do hard things with support, purpose, and faith.Connect with Angie Taylor on:IG: https://www.instagram.com/mrsangietaylor/?hl=enFB: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100090424997350

(2025). Prehospital fibrinolysis in high-risk pulmonary embolism – Observational data on clinical picture and outcome. In this episode you will hear: • The very first book I bought about the SEAL teams - I was in a truck stop and there was a case of books you could buy for a buck. There was a book about SEAL operations in Vietnam. Four years later, I checked into SEAL Team 4. (6:22) • I was about 95lbs and 5' tall at 15, and that recruiter took one look at me, and was like: “You are not what the SEALS are looking for.” (7:40) • There are way more operational opportunities for enlisted SEALS than there are for officers. (20:44) • Seaman to Admiral takes individuals who don't have a degree. They send them to school. It's an accelerated program. You're part of the ROTC program. You commission out of that and you come back as a SEAL officer. (24:02) • We were all bleeding so bad, and it created this mist in the helicopter of blood. The entire inside of the helicopter was coated in blood. (43:06) • My recovery time took 4 years and 40 surgeries to put me back together. (43:38) • Be thankful for the hardships you have in life and for hard things that happen because I think they set you up for success in other things. (43:48) • Me failing as a leader was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to come back from. (43:56) • Lead yourself, Lead others, Lead always. (44:39) • [Marcus] When he was in the hospital, he wrote on a bright orange piece of paper and tacked it on the door. And he wrote this letter saying “Don't come in here feeling sorry for me. I will overcome.” (48:48) • It's amazing when you're around Christians who have a appreciation for the world and a love of Christ and a love of humanity. (51:07) • These are questions I like to ask veterans: “What do you want to accomplish? What is your American dream? (53:52) • Whether you're starting your own business, or you're a leader in a business, we need you. This country needs you.
