====================================================SUSCRIBETEhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNpffyr-7_zP1x1lS89ByaQ?sub_confirmation=1==================================================== LECCIÓN DE ESCUELA SABÁTICA I TRIMESTRE DEL 2026Narrado por: Eddie RodriguezDesde: Guatemala, GuatemalaUna cortesía de DR'Ministries y Canaan Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchJUEVES 12 DE FEBREROLAS CLAVES DEL CONTENTAMIENTO Lee Filipenses 4:10-13, 19.
É a beleza?

This week on Hear-Tell, host Diana Keough sits down with journalist and CNN International supervising producer Sam Bresnahan to discuss her powerful new book, In Blood, Flowers Bloom: A World War II Story of Valor and Forgiveness Across Generations. In In Blood, Flowers Bloom, Sam traces the unexpected journey of a Japanese battle flag taken during World War II— from a battlefield in the Philippines to a shed in upstate New York — and the lives forever connected to it decades later. Weaving together the experiences of an American Iwo Jima veteran, a former Japanese naval officer who became a Buddhist monk, and the son of a Japanese soldier killed in battle, the book explores how memory, trauma, and reconciliation can transcend generations and cultural divides. In this episode, Sam (MFA '18) shares how she found this extraordinary story, why physical artifacts can hold deep emotional and historical truth, and what it means to confront history not just as a series of events, but as lived experience that continues to shape the present. This is the VIC 4 VETS, Weekly Honored Veteran. SUBMITTED BY: Listener Gary Knight CONNER, JAMES ORINSP4 U.S. ARMY (SP4 is called a Spec 4)VIETNAMDATE OF BIRTH: 08/18/1947DATE OF DEATH: 07/20/2001Jim Conner is someone I rode with while we were both officers on the St. Louis City Police Department in the 1970s. While I was in the Army Reserves, I did not serve in Vietnam. James Orin “Jim” Conner was born August 18th, 1947, in St. Louis. He passed away on July 20th, 2001, at the age of 53. He is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis County. Before we joined the police department and before we met, Jim did two tours of duty in Vietnam. Jim was awarded the following service medals and commendations. They were: 1 Silver Star, 2 Bronze Stars with "V" Device, several Army Commendation Medals, 39 Awards of the Air Medal, 2 with "V" Device (it is to be noted that a "V" Device is for valor), and 5 Purple Hearts, Combat Infantryman's Badge, and Air Crew Wings. He served as a light weapons infantryman in his first tour and as a helicopter crewman in his second tour on a small observation helicopter. He fought in the Ia Drang and A Shau Valleys campaigns. His citation for the Silver Star Medal reads in part that when he was in combat, he was badly wounded when the helicopter that he was in crashed. He was ejected from the helicopter, and, under heavy enemy fire, he returned to the aircraft to pull the wounded pilot from the burning wreckage and held off the enemy until friendly forces could arrive. James Conner is the most decorated member of the Armed Forces interred at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for his unwavering acts of valor and service during the Vietnam War.Following his service in the Army, Jim became a police officer on August 24th, 1970. Jim was a highly decorated police officer with the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Jim was awarded the following prestigious awards: The department's highest award - the Medal of Valor on November 15, 1977, for unwavering heroism above and beyond the call of duty, the Meritorious Service Award on June 8, 1977, and two Chief's Letters of Commendation on December 4, 1981, and April 13, 1984, for police work above the call of duty. Officer Conner is the "Audie Murphy" of the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in Saint Louis. I was not involved in an incident that occurred in the fall of 1976 at the Mansion House apartments in downtown St. Louis, however another officer I know was there. He told me how they had a man with a gun inside the Mansion House, he had the officers pinned down, and he was shooting at them. This officer, who told me the story, said how Jim Connor just “low crawled” past him, took a position, and when the man refused to surrender, Jim took aim and shot the subject. Then Jim just took out a cigarette and lit it. Like it was just another day at the office. Officer Conner retired from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department on April 6, 1992. He had completed 21 years of faithful and dedicated service to the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department ________________________________________________________________ This Week’s VIC 4 VETS, Honored Veteran on NewsTalkSTL.With support from our friends at:Alamo Military Collectables, Gemini Wealth Group and H.E.R.O.E.S. In “A Type of Valor,” the Black Lincoln Collective Podcast moves from hilarious real-life chaos to sharp cultural commentary and Black history. The crew opens with an unbelievable workplace story—an unhoused man accidentally getting buzzed into the office—and unpacks the uncomfortable realities of safety, assumptions, and boundaries. From there, they dive into a viral pop-culture moment: TikTok creator Romeo's Show, the catchy “Dr. Pepper baby” jingle, and what happens when a brand steps in and commercializes internet creativity. The conversation turns into a smart (and funny) look at authenticity, ownership, and how corporations reshape culture. The episode also salutes Black History Month with a spotlight on the 369th Infantry Regiment, the Harlem Hellfighters, and their legacy in World War I—tying the theme together with the show's recurring phrase: “a type of valor.” To close, the crew delivers their signature “stock report,” breaking down the ongoing spectacle of meme stocks like AMC and GameStop, plus the personalities and moments that keep the saga alive.Highlights: main themes & subjectsA chaotic office mishap that sparks a bigger conversation about homelessness, safety, and judgmentViral culture meets corporate branding: the “Dr. Pepper baby” moment and what commercialization does to creativityBlack History Month focus on the Harlem Hellfighters (369th) and their World War I legacyThe role of humor in talking about real history and real lifeMeme-stock talk: AMC, GameStop, and the ongoing lore around the movement and its figures #blcpodcast #podcastingforthepeople #funny #podcast #greenvillesc #scpodcast #yeahthatgreenville Listen at: https://americasfavoritepodcast.com Tweet the Show: https://twitter.com/blcworld Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/blcpodcast/ Check us out on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/blcpodcast/ Buy Fred and Allan Beer: https://www.patreon.com/blcworld

Pilot Nicki returns to describe her 1948 Globe Swift and explain her plans to make a mid-life career change and become a professional pilot. In the news, the FAA Administrator says what to expect from the “brand new air traffic control system,” a bill to address ADS-B “misuse,” navigating around the debris field after a rocket failure, accelerating the MV-75 Tiltrotor program, flying the Qatari 747 as Air Force One, reduced security restrictions at Heathrow, and a private jet crash in Maine. Guest Nicki Hovanec just reached her goal of 1500 flight hours and now plans to make a mid-life career change and become a professional pilot. She fell in love with aviation at an early age and attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for Aviation at Daytona Beach, Florida. But 911 impacted Nicki's career trajectory and took her away from aviation. However, with encouragement from her spouse, she returned to aviation, obtained her pilot’s license, and will soon look to be hired by an airline. Nicki trained through independent flight schools and completed her solo in 2017, receiving her initial pilot’s certificate. She continued her training and completed additional certifications on various aircraft while progressing towards her goal of 1500+ flight hours. Nicki saved and borrowed funds to purchase a Cessna 152. Eventually selling that plane, she bought a 1948 Globe Swift tail-dragger, her current airplane. With 1,500 flight hours completed, Nicki now begins the job search for a professional pilot position, starting with the NGPA job fair. We’ll continue to follow her progress. A little history: In May 2017, Nicki sought our advice about starting flying lessons and making a career change to become a professional pilot. We encouraged her to keep us informed about her progress, and Nicki did so by sending us over a dozen recordings documenting her journey getting a pilot's license. We were happy to include those in our podcast episodes. Nicki and her 1948 Globe Swift. See: A Short History of the Swift Wikipedia: Globe GC-1 Swift 2026 NGPA Industry Expo, presented by United Airlines, February 5-6, 2026. FAPA.aero (Future & Active Pilots Alliance) Aviation News FAA's Bedford Provides Glimpse into U.S. ATC's Future At the monthly Aero Club of Washington, D.C. luncheon, FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford talked about the “brand new air traffic control system.” He described: “Greater precision about… flight trajectories… [while] navigating through the airspace.” Many fewer handoffs flying through the system. A cultural shift away from focusing on takeoff to when a pilot wants to land. Changing the innovation cycle to be more like Apple or Tesla. AOPA urges members to contact their representatives in Congress AOPA issued a call to action asking its 300,000 members to contact their senators and representatives in Congress and urge them to cosponsor the Pilot and Aircraft Privacy Act (PAPA). AOPA President Darren Pleasance said, “When the ADS-B mandate went into effect in 2020, the FAA said this important technology would only be used for safety and airspace efficiency. Instead, we're now seeing it used in ways that discourage adoption…The misuse of ADS-B is a step backward for aviation safety and erodes trust in our aviation system.” If passed, PAPA would prohibit the use of ADS-B data to assist in the collection of fees from pilots or aircraft owners and clarify that ADS-B data may only be used for its intended purposes of air traffic safety and efficiency. PAPA was introduced in 2025 by Rep. Bob Onder (R-Mo.) as H.R.4146 and Sen. Ted Budd (R-N.C.) as S.2175. “We're Too Close to the Debris” On January 16, 2026, ATC instructed Caribbean flights to avoid the FAA's debris zone after a SpaceX Starship rocket exploded. Dozens of planes made sharp turns to avoid the danger zone, which was closed for 86 minutes. ProPublica says this made “pilots and passengers unwitting participants in SpaceX's test of the most powerful rocket ever built.” Army Punches Its MV-75 Tiltrotor Program Into Overdrive The Army wants to see the MV-25 testing this year and in service in 2027. Just twelve months ago, the Army targeted 2030. At the 2022 competition, service was expected in the mid-2030s. The MV-75 is the designation given to the U.S. Army's Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) tiltrotor. The design is based on the Bell V-280 Valor tiltrotor and will replace many of the H-60 Black Hawk helicopters. The V-280 demonstrator has flown, but not the MV-75 configuration. Qatari 747 to fly as Trump's Air Force One this summer In May 2025, the US government accepted the 747 jetliner donated by the Qatari government to serve as a new Air Force One. Modifications began in September. An Air Force spokesperson said in a statement that delivery of the aircraft is anticipated no later than summer 2026. Calling it a “VC-25 bridge aircraft,” the Trump administration intends this plane to serve as an interim Air Force One while waiting for the two 747s currently being modified by Boeing. The Air Force is expecting the first Boeing-modified 747 to be handed over in “mid-2028,” a delay of roughly four years. London’s Heathrow eases liquid and laptop rules after £1 billion security upgrade The airport completed a £1bn CT scanner upgrade across all four Heathrow terminals. This allows passengers to carry liquid containers up to two liters, and the removal of laptops from bags is no longer required. 7 dead, 1 seriously injured in plane crash at airport in Bangor, Maine, FAA says A Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 650 veered off the runway on takeoff and crashed at Bangor International Airport in Maine. There was snow at the time of the plane crash due to a large winter storm. See also: Private jet carrying 8 crashes at Maine airport, FAA says. Everyone is trying to "manifest" their dream life, but few realize they are playing with a dangerous, satanic inversion of the truth. While the spiritual mechanisms behind manifestation are real, using them to shape reality to your own will is a Faustian bargain. In this message, we uncover why the New Age "Law of Attraction" fails and how to move into the authentic power of Biblical Meditation. The Truth: The Enemy wants you to believe you are the source of your own reality. But true "manifestation" isn't about getting what you want—it's about conceiving what God has already said into your physical experience. It is the difference between having the medicine in the cabinet and actually getting it into your bloodstream. In this message, we dive into: The Satanic Inversion: Why the New Age hijacks universal spiritual laws and the price you pay for using them outside of God's authority. The Mechanics of the Spirit: How "Hagah" (Biblical Meditation) moves the Word from your head to your heart. Holy Imagination vs. Fantasy: Using "Hope" as a spiritual blueprint to see your promise before it arrives. Identity Shift: Why God called Gideon a "Mighty Man of Valor" while he was still hiding in a winepress (Judges 6). The Abraham Method: Learning to "call those things which be not as though they were" (Romans 4:17). Scripture References: Joshua 1:8 – The key to true prosperity and success. Romans 12:2 – Do not be conformed to this world (or its customs), but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Isaiah 26:3 – Keeping your mind stayed on Him for perfect peace. Romans 4:17 – Calling into existence the promises God has already spoken. Proverbs 4:20-22 – God's Word as life and health (medicine) to all our flesh. When the "day of adversity" comes and your boat feels like it's sinking, a "vibration" won't save you. Only the Word of God hidden in your heart will give you the victory.
