What does courage look like when no one is watching? It's the teacher running barefoot through a Texas storm, the bus driver guiding children off a burning school bus, the doctor walking city streets at midnight, the volunteer who simply listens. In Quiet Valor: Everyday Americans — Acts of Character That Change a Life, a Street, a community, author Larry Nouvel continues his acclaimed series by turning the lens toward the people who hold the country together quietly — teachers, caregivers, mentors, civic servants, artists, and everyday neighbors. These are not celebrities or politicians. They are citizens whose constancy, compassion, and conscience shape the real strength of America. Across seven themes — from Disaster and Emergency Response to Everyday Generosity — the book collects true stories of unrecognized bravery.

(2025). Prehospital fibrinolysis in high-risk pulmonary embolism – Observational data on clinical picture and outcome. In this episode, we sit down with Riot Phroxzon, Lead Gameplay Designer at Riot Games, for a deep-dive into the future of League of Legends. We cover what Riot learned from the 2025 champion releases (Mel, Yunara, and Zaahen), why some designs missed the mark with players, and how those lessons are shaping champion philosophy going forward. Phroxzon breaks down Zaahen's kit design, community reaction to Mel, and whether Riot is satisfied with Yunara's long-term impact. The conversation then shifts to Summoner's Rift changes, including what worked, what didn't, and why Atakhan is being removed. We explore Riot's evolving vision for macro gameplay in 2026, including split pushing, objective control, and how the overall pace of the game is changing. We also tackle one of the most controversial topics in League right now: role balance. Why does Riot believe jungle is overtuned, why ADC and top lane are struggling, and how jungle lost its identity in 2025. Phroxzon explains Riot's internal data, the goals behind role quests, and what role balance will look like moving into 2026.Later in the episode, we discuss matchmaking and Solo Queue, including autofill philosophy, what it actually takes to climb, and how Riot plans to reduce time to get into games. We also touch on bringing back old items, Aegis of Valor, duo queue across ranks (excluding Korea), and what Riot learned from WASD movement testing.

From state titles to nationally ranked teams, Valor has built a reputation for excellence. But what most people don't see is the intentional culture, systems, and faith-driven leadership behind the wins.In this episode, Darrin sits down with Keith Wahl, longtime coach and now Athletic Director at Valor Christian, to talk about building a mission-centered athletic program in the middle of NIL, transfer portals, club sports pressure, and sky-high parent expectations.Keith shares how Valor has stayed anchored to its founding mission and culture documents, how they rebuilt systems after a difficult season, and why he believes sports don't teach life lessons—people do.In this episode, you'll hear:Keith's journey into leadership at Valor ChristianFrom opening Mountain Vista High School as its first head baseball coach… to a “divine nudge” text from his wife… to becoming Valor's first head baseball coach and eventually Athletic Director. From “pioneer” to nationally respected athletics programHow Valor went from a brand-new school with a bold Christian mission to a MaxPreps Top 50-level athletic department—without abandoning its original vision and purpose.Culture documents, team plans, and the power of clarityWhy written team plans and an athletic handbook became game changers for culture, communication, and peace—and what happened when those systems disappeared (and then had to be rebuilt).Leading in the NIL and transfer eraHow NIL, club sports, and transfer rules have reshaped high school athletics—and what leaders can do to stay mission-focused instead of becoming purely transactional.Youth sports pressure and parent expectationsWhy today's parents often have less trust and higher expectations, and how schools can respond with value, transparency, and a holistic vision of sport.Faith, sport, and deeper meaning beyond the scoreboardKeith's work with Baylor's Faith & Sport Institute, their “Away Game” cohort, and what it looks like to build an athletic experience that forms character—not just winners. The trust triangle & the athletic leadership teamHow Keith uses the “trust triangle” (with authentic vulnerability at the base) to lead his internal team and create a second-family culture among his staff.Knowing your people: Enneagram, Working Genius & AIHow Keith uses tools like the Enneagram, Working Genius—and yes, even ChatGPT—to better understand his team and tailor his communication to each person.A powerful tribute to Coach Janie McHughThe story of longtime Valor volleyball coach Janie McHugh, her fourth straight state title, and why Keith believes deeply that knowing your people is one of the greatest gifts of leadership.Connect with Keith WahlValor Athletics: valoreagles.comSocial: @CoachWahl22 on all major platforms

The Trident: Leadership Lessons from the Battlefield to the Boardroom This week, Marcus, Melanie welcome an extraordinary warrior, leader, and encourager—Jason Redman, retired Navy SEAL, bestselling author, and one of the most respected voices on resilience and overcoming adversity. Jason served 21 years in the U.S. Navy, including 11 years as an enlisted SEAL and 10 years as a SEAL officer, leading combat operations across the globe. His career is a study in grit, redemption, and relentless dedication—from early deployments in Central and South America to commanding SEAL teams in Iraq and Afghanistan. But Jason's life shifted forever on September 13, 2007, when he was acting as Assault Force Commander during a mission in Iraq. An enemy ambush erupted. Jason was shot eight times, including a devastating gunshot wound to the face. His team fought through, secured the target, and saved his life. What followed was a recovery few could imagine: 40 surgeries, months in the hospital, and a battle not just for survival, but for identity, leadership, and purpose. Jason didn't just recover—he returned to active duty and continued serving until retirement in 2013. His courage, valor, and leadership earned him the Purple Heart, Bronze Star with Valor, and the respect of warriors around the world. Why This Episode Matters Jason Redman has become one of the most powerful voices in America on resilience. His life is proof that the human spirit can rise, rebuild, and lead again—no matter the setback. Whether you're fighting through a personal battle, searching for purpose, or simply need a reminder of what true grit looks like, Jason's story will challenge, encourage, and strengthen you. In this episode you will hear: • The very first book I bought about the SEAL teams - I was in a truck stop and there was a case of books you could buy for a buck. There was a book about SEAL operations in Vietnam. Four years later, I checked into SEAL Team 4. (6:22) • I was about 95lbs and 5' tall at 15, and that recruiter took one look at me, and was like: “You are not what the SEALS are looking for.” (7:40) • There are way more operational opportunities for enlisted SEALS than there are for officers. (20:44) • Seaman to Admiral takes individuals who don't have a degree. They send them to school. It's an accelerated program. You're part of the ROTC program. You commission out of that and you come back as a SEAL officer. (24:02) • We were all bleeding so bad, and it created this mist in the helicopter of blood. The entire inside of the helicopter was coated in blood. (43:06) • My recovery time took 4 years and 40 surgeries to put me back together. (43:38) • Be thankful for the hardships you have in life and for hard things that happen because I think they set you up for success in other things. (43:48) • Me failing as a leader was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to come back from. (43:56) • Lead yourself, Lead others, Lead always. (44:39) • [Marcus] When he was in the hospital, he wrote on a bright orange piece of paper and tacked it on the door. And he wrote this letter saying “Don't come in here feeling sorry for me. I will overcome.” (48:48) • It's amazing when you're around Christians who have a appreciation for the world and a love of Christ and a love of humanity. (51:07) • These are questions I like to ask veterans: “What do you want to accomplish? What is your American dream? (53:52) • Whether you're starting your own business, or you're a leader in a business, we need you. This country needs you.
