Qué es la biomecánica del impacto (visión médica) • Objeto: explicar por qué y cómo se producen las lesiones en el cuerpo humano durante un siniestro. • Variables clínicas y físicas que se integran: • Órgano/tejido afectado y mecanismo lesional. • Dirección y magnitud de la fuerza aplicada. • Vulnerabilidades individuales (p. ej., hipotensión, anticoagulantes, comorbilidades). • Protección pasiva utilizada (cinturón, casco, etc.), que modula la gravedad. • Entrada técnica imprescindible: parámetros del choque (Δv, aceleraciones, vectores) que aportan los ingenieros reconstructores. He also served as a Combatives Instructor, Marksmanship Instructor and earned his Master Trainer Specialist qualification while helping Jocko rebuild and enhance these training programs into the highly effective platforms they are today. Tramo auditado y contexto • Vía: antigua PO-234, hoy titularidad municipal (“Avenida de Vigo”), próxima a las termas en construcción. • Tráfico real y diverso: coches, motocicletas y eventos (p. ej., “Subida a Ponte Caldelas”), lo que eleva la criticidad de las deficiencias detectadas. Irregularidades técnicas detectadas (según la auditoría de Breogán) 1. Sistemas de contención (barreras/guardarraíles) o “Colas de pez” en terminales: terminaciones agresivas con riesgo de empalamiento/penetración del habitáculo y seccionamiento en motos. o Terminales cortados dejando poste expuesto: altísimo riesgo para motoristas. o Intervenciones indebidas posteriores: soldaduras en postes/elementos que anulan la homologación y hacen impredecible el comportamiento dinámico ante impacto. 2. Señalización vertical o Señales ocultas por vegetación. o Pérdida de retrorreflexión (“sin brillo”): baja visibilidad en condiciones nocturnas; tramo con escasa iluminación. 3. Mantenimiento o Desbroce efectuado solo tras la denuncia pública; resto de deficiencias persisten. o En un punto con siniestro previo, la “reparación” empeora la condición de seguridad (caso de soldaduras). Actuación institucional observada • Titular de la vía: Ayuntamiento. • Policía Local transita por la zona, sin evidencia (en el relato) de actas o informes previos pese a la notoriedad del problema. • Tras la denuncia (con acompañamiento de J. C. Toribio y traslado a Fiscalía de Seguridad Vial): o Corte de vegetación puntual. o Sin corrección integral de terminales/barreras ni sustitución de señalización deficiente. Valor formativo y cívico del caso • Ejemplo de auditoría ciudadana: observación, documentación (vídeo/fotos), tramitación con apoyo experto y escalado a fiscalía. • Breogán verbaliza vocación técnica: quiere ser ingeniero civil y cursar FP de técnico superior en tráfico; aplica ya buenas prácticas como ciclista (casco, luces, elementos homologados). Riesgos priorizados • Alta letalidad para motoristas por diseño/estado de terminales. • Riesgo de lesiones graves por penetración de baranda (“cola de pez”). • Falta de visibilidad de señales críticas en nocturno. Medidas inmediatas sugeridas • Retirada/sustitución de terminales peligrosos y adecuación de sistemas de contención con elementos homologados, sin soldaduras no ensayadas. • Reposición de señales con clase retrorreflectante adecuada y mantenimiento sistemático de vegetación en dominio público. • Acta técnica municipal con plazos y responsables, comunicación pública del plan de corrección y seguimiento. • Coordinación con cuerpos policiales para inspecciones periódicas y congelación de eventos deportivos hasta corrección de puntos negros en el trazado urbano afectado. • La seguridad vial es prioritaria y técnica: no depende de “si hay dinero”, sino de priorizar actuaciones, cumplir homologaciones y mantener. • Una mirada técnica joven puede activar mejoras reales cuando la administración no reacciona. He also served as a Combatives Instructor, Marksmanship Instructor and earned his Master Trainer Specialist qualification while helping Jocko rebuild and enhance these training programs into the highly effective platforms they are today. J.P. brings exceptional experience and frontline leadership perspective from the winning mindset and culture of Task Unit Bruiser.

It is not unusual to complete a rescue in the snow-covered mountains, respond to a rescue in Lake Mead, and then handle a pursuit, all in the same shift.Our conversation with pilot Blake Farris and tactical flight officer Brad Bear was fascinating. We discuss training, unit dynamics, the mixed fleet of aircraft, mission profiles, and the full time search-and-rescue team located inside the hanger facility.Brad shares an impactful story of working as a patrol officer, where having skilled air crew overhead kept him safe. This unit covers 8,000 square miles of Clark County, Nevada, with a population of 2.3 million. Seventy percent of Nevada's population resides inside Clark County. Add 40 million visitors a year and this unit has a great deal of responsibility in both patrol functions and search-and-rescue.With only five aircraft, they flew over 4,000 patrol hours and responded to 91 rescue calls in 2024. It is not unusual to complete a rescue in the snow-covered mountains, respond to a rescue in Lake Mead, and then handle a pursuit, all in the same shift.Our conversation with pilot Blake Farris and tactical flight officer Brad Bear was fascinating. We discuss training, unit dynamics, the mixed fleet of aircraft, mission profiles, and the full time search-and-rescue team located inside the hanger facility.Brad shares an impactful story of working as a patrol officer, where having skilled air crew overhead kept him safe. He worked closely with SEAL Officers Jocko Willink, his Task Unit Commander, and Leif Babin, and was the driving force on many of the daring combat operations Jocko and Leif wrote about in Extreme Ownership. Upon his return, J.P. again worked directly for Jocko as a training instructor at Naval Special Warfare Group One Training Detachment, where he orchestrated realistic and challenging training scenarios for Special Operations Urban Combat training and Close Quarters Combat training to better prepare SEAL units for the real-world battlefield. He also served as a Combatives Instructor, Marksmanship Instructor and earned his Master Trainer Specialist qualification while helping Jocko rebuild and enhance these training programs into the highly effective platforms they are today. J.P. brings exceptional experience and frontline leadership perspective from the winning mindset and culture of Task Unit Bruiser.

Henry "Hank" Daly and John survived multiple gunshot wounds to the heart, liver, kidney, lung, arm and leg. For his actions that day, he was awarded the FBI Medal of Valor and U.S. Attorney General's Award for Exceptional Heroism in recognition of exceptional acts of heroism involving the voluntary risk of personal safety and life performed in the line of duty in the face of a criminal encounter.
