October 27, 2019 Join us for our 9:30 AM contemporary service as Rev. Preston Morgan continues the "Reading Between the Lines" sermon series. The scripture for this Sunday comes from 1 Timothy 2:12-15. Reading Between the Lines: This series is a deeper dive into the scripture verses that illuminate the divides between Christians. Why are their fault lines between Christian churches when we all claim the same scriptures and the same Savior? Why does our reading of scripture seem to place us in different camps of theology? How can we overcome these differences and dialogue with Christians with whom we disagree? Come see us on Sunday mornings! Traditional: 8:15 AM & 11:00 AM Contemporary: 9:30 AM & 11:00 AM Celebracion: 1:45 PM en Español, 5:00 PM in English

Pastor Alberto Williams shares "Anchoring a Heart" in the Language of the Heart: Faith Sharing New Testement series. It is the responsibility of a Christian who is sharing their faith to pray for the decision maker both while they are making the decision (perhaps even as they make it) and following the decision. The job of sharing your faith does not end at the point of decision. You can’t speak effectively about God if you don’t first speak intimately to God.

Campbell also serves as executive director helping to launch the non-profit Light for the Zulu nation. "The rich foundation and in-pouring of Clear Lake continued to take rampant growth within me and the ministry trusted to me in East Texas. While I have changed significantly since my time at Clear Lake UMC, I think one of the greatest and most recent influences is that I’m a foster mom for the second time and can testify to Gods undeniable grace and growth in me through these incredible baby girls! "
Dr. Mike Deaton preaches on 2 Kings 6:1-7
Most of the vocabulary used in church isn’t used anywhere else. But what do these weird words even mean, and how do they shape our faith? If you already speak the lingo, your appreciation of tradition will grow. And if you're new to the Christian faith, this weird place called "church" will make a little more sense. This week, Pastor Preston Morgan preaches on Revelation1:1-3.

Our first series in 2019 is called Déjà Vu, and we’ll explore a place where God brings us back to the same spot over and over and over again. Just like when we feel déjà vu in life, this series will both disorient us and reorient us to scripture in a whole new way!

Pastor Preston Morgan preaches on Luke 2: 8-20. We are looking to expand our understanding of Christmas and Christmas preparation.
"Throw a Birthday Party" Luke 14:15-24 Every year, we say we’re going to simplify and have a family Christmas that focuses on the real reason for the season – Jesus. But every year, overspending, overeating, materialism, and busyiness rob us of our peace and joy, and rob Jesus of his rightful role as the center of our celebration. “Whose Birthday Is It Anyway?” – loosely based on Mike Slaughter’s book, “Christmas is Not Your Birthday” – will use the images and symbols often related to birthday celebrations to help us approach Christmas differently and be transformed in the process. The end goal is for worshippers to experience the peace of knowing that God is truly with us, the joy of giving sacrificially, and the love of a Savior who gave everything he had for us. The first sermon in this series, Rev. Preston Morgan suggests that Jesus has clear expectations on how we celebrate him.
