Exodus Chapters 7-8. The plagues begin and within each plague God is tearing down the Egyptians reliance on their gods & displaying His glory to all people.
Jesus commands his followers to love their neighbors, which includes even their enemies. This love is persistent & requires a constant dependence on God working in us
Exodus 5-6. God is still working, even when we are weak and discouraged
Jesus calls His followers to go above and beyond to show love to ALL people in ways that don't make any sense. Then, He lives out this radical & crazy love for us on the cross.
Exodus Chapter 4: God is a god who is patient and works through our weaknesses for His glory
Jesus takes the Laws of the Old Testament a step farther. He calls His followers to radically get rid of sin, love well & keep their promises.
Jesus calls his people to something greater than just following a list of rules.
