Tonight's first guest, Derin Franks, had his Bigfoot sighting in the William B. Bankhead National Forest, in North Alabama, in 2017. It happened on the last day of deer hunting season. Derin had just walked to the edge of a greenfield when he decided to sit down on a log, just inside the tree line. As he sat there, taking everything in, he suddenly heard a limb snap about 12 yards over his right shoulder. When he heard it, he stood up and turned around. When he did, he couldn't believe his eyes…Tonight's second guest, Catman Hero, had his Bigfoot sighting on August 8th, 2016. It happened at a campsite in Middle Tennessee while he was participating in a nighttime field investigation. He was with Randy Hutchings, a very experienced field investigator, and another investigator named Josh.After arriving at the campsite, the three men walked about two to three miles into the woods before Randy, who was leading the investigation, told Catman and Josh to stop. Randy explained that, when he gave the word, he wanted them to turn on their lights and scan the woods for eyeshine.When Randy gave the signal, all three men turned on their lights and began scanning the woods. Almost immediately, Randy and Josh noticed something hiding behind a tree branch. For the first year they lived there, nothing unusual happened, largely because they had cleared a significant portion of their property. On May 20th, 2019, at 9:35 AM, tonight's guest, Matt Lankford, was driving his 18-wheeler south on Highway 84, between Abilene and Coleman, Texas. At the time, he was about two-thirds of the way to Coleman when he looked ahead, to the right side of the highway, and saw what he initially thought was a black bull.As he got closer to the “bull,” the figure moved a short distance. When it did, it moved in such a strange way that its body seemed to undulate. After seeing it move, Matt began to wonder if what he was looking at might actually be a large, black hog.As Matt drew closer, however, his perception of the figure changed again. Now, he wondered if it might be a large man wearing a black arctic suit.When Matt got within a few hundred feet of the figure, though, he realized it wasn't a man. In fact, Dan's first experience happened all the way back in 1971, while he was staying at a church camp in Northern Wisconsin. He was on a cliff face, on the eastern side of Williams Canyon, tossing slate rocks over the edge so he could watch them smash on the ground below. After tossing the third rock, he suddenly noticed a black, furry, humanoid-shaped figure moving to his left. When he focused on the figure, he realized that it was looking back at him. Set in northern Norway near the town of Lakselev, the creepypasta follows a recent transplant exploring the dense forest of Isengleskogen who encounters a beautiful, woman effortlessly gliding through the snow without leaving any footprints. As he pursues her deeper into the wilderness, he quickly becomes lost as his own tracks mysteriously vanish—a disorientation reminiscent of Norwegian folklore surrounding huldre or utburd trickery—while the woman's pristine appearance violently decays before his eyes into a blue, skeletal, frostbitten corpse. Tonight's guest, Nick Pool, grew up on a farm in the hills of western Kentucky. As a kid, one of the things he looked forward to most was finally being old enough to deer hunt with his father and brother. His father had promised him that when he turned 11, he'd be old enough to join them.Bright and early on the second day of deer season, shortly after Nick's 11th birthday, his father walked him out to a tree stand Nick had built in a large section of woods near the family farm. Hidden within those woods was a secluded field, making it an ideal place to hunt. Nick settled into his stand before sunrise, and not long after the sun came up, he began hearing strange sounds. Immediately on high alert, he scanned the woods, trying to figure out what was making them.It wasn't long before he found out—and what he saw left him in complete shock. Standing before him was a 9-foot-tall Sasquatch!That incredible encounter wasn't the only experience Nick had with the family of Sasquatch that lived in the woods surrounding his family's farm. Over the years, he had many more encounters with them and eventually came to enjoy seeing them. Years later, however, he had a very different kind of experience—one involving another undocumented creature he encountered on a lonely back road. Unlike his Sasquatch encounters, this one wasn't enjoyable at all.
