Big Idea: God has plans for each of His children and He meticulously prepares us to execute those plans. Understanding joseph: Joseph resolves a lot of the problematic threats presented in the narrative. He is used by God to resolve dangerous threats to the covenant line. Joseph is a problem solver, a threat eradicator, he is a type of savior. 1. God prepares us by testing our commitment (vs 2) 2. God prepares us through difficulties and mistreatment (vs 3-11)

Big Idea: Compromise and assimilation with the world are batttles that God's people of all ages have to fight. Why is this included in Scripture? I.
