That was a metalhead finale we can cheer for. It came down to the wire and Eleven's arms were extending while she screamed, of course. BUT the Duffer Brothers delivered a gut punch that made us remember why we love this show. While Jim is condemning pineapple pizza to The Upside Down, A.Ron is happy to report that this episode delivers in stakes, pacing, and surprises. Got feedback? This season of Stranger Things brought on the 80s nostalgia and lots of great moments. We have opinions, you have feedback, let's talk about it! This episode has big portal energy. We got the twist we were hoping for, but it leaves the question: which came first, the Vecna or the egg? We're getting nervous about those wounds on one of our beloved characters. And we're gearing up for Hopper's next superhero-esque move. With the finale right around the corner, we're hoping for some surprises. The characters are still in transit, but we feel like they're building to something big with Eleven's backstory. While waiting for her powers to return, we're also anticipating the death of one of our favorite characters, and enjoying Murray and Joyce's adventures. The Satanic Panic is causing the sweeping up of the members of the Hellfire Club, so now is not the time to let people know that I play a Tiefling. Ha! You thought Nina was a person? We totally didn't. Nope, haha, we always knew. Speaking of never being confused, we've got some theories and predictions that we're holding tight to. We're witnessing the point of no return and an escape that could only happen in the 80s, nothing to do with Kurt Russell in New York though. And how many modems can you recognize just by the sound? I guarantee it's more than me, but less than Jim and A.Ron. Submit your thoughts for our wrap-up episode at strangerthings@baldmove.com. Hey there! The Vecna isn't the only horrifying thing that you see this season. Shedding the skin of the fun, breezy Stranger Things that we started with a few years ago, this season is going down darker roads. We have to sit with these characters through more adult situations as they try to navigate these with kid solutions. And it is starting to seem that Hopper is likely evolving into a Steven McQueen-esque superhero. Maybe. Submit your thoughts for our wrap-up episode at strangerthings@bladmove.com. Hey there! Those icy blue eyes of the Vecna have us transfixed when the episode isn't being a little clunky. The relationships in this show deliver in the teenage angst department. Jim can't relate to the angst because he's always been popular. But the real question to the duality of existence, can someone be both a monster and superhero? Is it a choice each of us have to make? Can one perspective exist with the other? Are we reading too deeply into this? Will I mysteriously disappear if I keep asking questions? Have your own questions or comments? Someone take care of these kids! Eleven/Jane is being bullied and Will, easily the most traumatized child in Hawkins, is hurting and wants his friends back. We hope life is kind to this cinnamon roll of a person, but this is Hawkins. A.Ron is putting on Dustin's thinking cap and has some theories to present. We finish Netflix's Stranger Things 3 with the finale episode, "The Battle of Starcourt". We found it gross, hilarious, thrilling, and touching, which means we thought it was a pretty great ending to a pretty great season of Stranger Things. I can see how people who are kind of sick of the nostalgia pandering, the product placement, and skeptical of some of the more outlandish breaks in the action to allow for drama, but we loved every minute of it. But what did you think? We'll be back next week to talk more in depth about how we felt about the season, what we think about the teaser for next, and to consider your feedback. We resume our mini-marathon of Netflix's Stranger Things 3 with the penultimate episode, "The Bite". In which many people are forced to confront their true feelings for other characters, with mixed results. The Mind Flayer is running roughshod over the backwoods of Hawkins, while the thus un-merged Billy stalks down El to eliminate her as threat. The big question in our minds is whether the Duffer Brothers took the long off season to come up with a new way to resolve inter-dimensional threats, or are we in for another screaming session from El? Let's find out together! Just one more episode left! We'll be wrapping up our marathon of Stranger Things 3 today, but our coverage isn't over. Next week, we'll have our thoughts on ST3 as a whole, look forward to next season, and will consider your feedback, so make sure you get it in using email and forum links below! The Mind Flayer's grotesque plan comes into focus in episode six of Stranger Things 3, "E Pluribus Unum", the meaning of the title seeming obvious in retrospect. Aside from the citizenry of Hawkins literally pulling themselves together to stop El and the gang, we get some very sympathetic backstory for Billy, Dustin throws a tea party for Erica, Robin and Steve share a moment in a Soviet medical torture facility, and Mike confesses his love for El. We continue our mini-marathon of Stranger Things 3 with "The Flayed", as things continue to get grosser for the Hawkins residents who find themselves "flayed" by the Mind Flayer. What's the big MF doing with all these chemicals? Is there any hope for the Flayed? Will Hop and Joyce succumb to their smoldering sexual tension? Stay tuned! We resume our mini-marathon of Stranger Things 3 as we consider "The Sauna Test". All the kids except Dustin are on board with the return of the Flayer, Nancy gets a pep talk from her mom about finishing her investigation, Dustin, Steve, and Robin recruit Erica for Operation Child Endangerment, as Hopper and Joyce put the squeeze on slimy Mayor Kline about his shady dealing ins Hawkins! Our mini-binge of Netflix's Stranger Things 3 continues with "The Mall Rats".
