It's Friday, April 25th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims have killed 170 Christians during Lent and Easter Nigerian Muslims killed 170 Christians during the Lenten season and on Easter Sunday in Nigeria's Middle Belt region, reports International Christian Concern. In Benue State, 72 Christians were confirmed dead following a series of deadly attacks by suspected Fulani Muslim militants between April 18 and April 20. They struck multiple villages in Ukum and Logo Counties during the Holy Weekend, turning what should have been a time of solemn reflection and worship into a scene of terror. Governor Hyacinth Alia, who visited the affected areas, described the massacre as “a calculated and strategic attack on innocent Christian farmers.” He also said, “These were peaceful people observing their Holy Weekend.  The scale and timing of the violence is heartbreaking. We cannot continue like this.” Please pray Amos 5:24 -- that “God's justice would roll on like a river.” Massive Russian strike on Ukraine's capital On Thursday night, Russia attacked Kyiv, Ukraine with an hours-long barrage of missiles and drones, killing at least eight people and injuring more than 70 in its deadliest assault on the Ukrainian capital since last July, reports CBS News. The Ukrainian Air Force said Russia fired 66 ballistic and cruise missiles, four plane-launched air-to-surface missiles, and 145 Shahed and decoy drones at Kyiv and four other regions of Ukraine. On Truth Social, President Donald Trump wrote, "I am not happy with the Russian strikes on Kyiv. Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5,000 soldiers a week are dying. Let's get the Peace Deal DONE!" TRUMP: “We're putting a lot of pressure on Russia, and Russia knows that, and some people that are close to it know or he wouldn't be talking right now.” In response to Russia's aggressive strikes in Western Ukraine, NATO has heightened its alert level, placing fighter jets in the "highest state of readiness," reports The Express. Former Brazilian president in ICU Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro's health condition has worsened following bowel surgery nearly two weeks ago, his doctors said Thursday, reports MSN.com. The medical team said the former president “experienced a clinical decline, elevated blood pressure and worsening liver lab test results." Bolsonaro underwent a 12-hour surgery on April 13 to remove intestinal adhesions and reconstruct the abdominal wall after the assassination attempt by stabbing in the abdomen during a campaign rally in September 2018. Democrat Senator Dick Durbin, a pro-abort, will not seek re-election Democrat Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois made an announcement on Wednesday, DURBIN: “There comes a point in your career when the torch must be passed, and I've reached that point. I will not be seeking re election to this United States Senate seat.” To his shame, Senator Durbin, age 80, has consistently voted to eliminate or prevent protections for the unborn and for children born alive after failed abortions. In addition, Senator Durbin has voted to use hard-earned tax dollars to pay for abortion, including abortion travel expenses. And he has worked to allow radical abortion ideology to be inserted into every facet of the United States Government. Illinois July 4th parade shooter sentenced to life in prison On Thursday, Robert Crimo III, the gunman who killed seven people and injured dozens in a mass shooting in Highland Park, Illinois, during a July 4th parade in 2022, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, reports ABC News. Judge Victoria Rossetti sentenced Crimo, age 24, to seven consecutive life sentences along with 50 years in prison for each person injured, Judge Rosetti said, "This court hopes this sentence brings a sense of justice and an end to the continued horror." However, the judge ignored God's just standard articulated in Genesis 9:6 which says, “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for in the image of God has God made mankind." Max Lucado got a tattoo Max Lucado, the Christian bestselling writer and pastor of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas, took to social media to announce he got a tattoo, reports MyChristianDaily.com. Located on his forearm, he chose the word “Tetelestai” which is Greek for “It is finished!” That is what Jesus uttered from the cross when He had paid our sin debt, according to John 19:30. Lucado said, “I'm celebrating the golden anniversary of God's great grace in my life. 50 years ago this spring, grace found me. My testimony is interwoven with my favorite word in the Bible. On the cross, Christ proclaimed,  in Greek, “Tetelestai!” Among the meanings of this word is, ‘paid in full'.” He added, “Not everyone likes the idea of a 70-year-old pastor getting a tattoo. That's ok. I didn't do it for people, I did it to say thank you to Jesus who paid a debt I could not pay.” However, Leviticus 19:28 says, “Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.” How “In God We Trust” became American motto And finally, on April 22, 1864, the United States informally adopted the motto "In God We Trust."  Conceived during the Civil War, Union supporters wanted to emphasize their attachment to God and to boost morale. The fourth stanza of the U.S. national anthem "The Star-Spangled Banner", adopted from the 1814 poem "The Defense of Fort McHenry", contains the line: "And this be our motto—'In God is our trust.'" “In God We Trust” was officially adopted by Congress in 1956, replacing the defacto motto of “E Pluribus Unum” which is Latin for “Out of Many, One.” Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, April 25th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Subscribe for free by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. The Statue of Liberty was inspired by Nubian funerary statues, making her likeness more akin to ancient Egypt than to more modern Rome, which itself certainly inspired the Lady in the form of their goddess Libertas. Roman and Greek architecture can be seen all throughout the western world, espeially at the U.S. District of Columbia. Egyptian antiquities played, as with many other powerful cultures, a significant role in the forming of now iconic 'American symbols' too, including the Eagle or Phoenix. The pyramid on each dollar harkens to the ancient world, as does the Eye of Providence, and the various latin phrases Annuit cœptis, E Pluribus Unum, and Novus ordo seclorum - 'he favors our undertaking', 'out of many one', and 'new order of the ages'. The masonic influence in the formation of the United States is either confusing, irrelevant, or sensational, but it is rarely if ever viewed in its proper context. *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. The word E Pluribus Unum appear on The Great Seal of the United States. Until 1956, E Pluribus Enum was the unofficial motto of the United States. In 1956, the official motto of the United States became In God We Trust. E Pluribus Unum, while not the official motto of our nation, still appears on our Great Seal and on other currencies and documents produced by our government.   E Pluribus Unum is a Latin phrase which means “out of many, one,” or “one from many.” This phrase pictures the United States as a melting pot. It envisions our nation as one nation, made up of many individuals. While there is diversity and division among the people that make up the United States of America, at the end of the day, we are all still Americans. Regardless of the country of our origin, the color of our skin, the type of politics we embrace, or where we stand on many social issues, we are “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” The United States is a unity made possible by, and in spite of, great diversity.   I want you to see that the phrase “out of many, one” could also be applied to the church. Paul has just told us that we are one on the Lord. That we stand together as one in the Lord. We are in the same body. We are indwelled by the same Spirit. We share the same hope. We serve the same Lord. We believe the same faith. We have experienced the same baptism. And, we are children of the same Heavenly Father.   As I mentioned when I preached from verses 4-6, we are made one through our relationship to the members of the Holy Trinity. The same Spirit lives in each of us. The same Lord died to save each of us. The same God has saved us and brought us into His family. We are on in Him!   Yet, as the first word of verse 7 points out, we may be one, but we are still many. The word “but” in this verse is more than a simple conjunction. It literally means “in spite of that,” or “on the other hand.” The idea is that, while we may be united in Jesus, but we are still expected to be different people. We are expected to be individuals for the glory of God. We may be commanded to do everything in our power to maintain the unity of the body of Christ, v. 2-3, but, at the same time, we are to celebrate the diversity that makes our unity possible.

Drawing parallels between Greek tragedy, personal transformation, and national evolution, they offer a unique framework for understanding our collective journey toward "a more perfect union." Just as each of us must integrate different aspects of ourselves to achieve personal growth, perhaps our nation's political tensions represent a necessary stage in our collective evolution. Discover why this moment might be less about winners and losers, and more about the grace of tough lessons that must be faced and learned together. For those feeling lost in these challenging times, this episode offers a broader perspective and a reminder that, like any great drama, all characters on stage serve a purpose in our journey toward unity. “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair…" It is striking how much these immortal words, written by Charles Dickens in the mid-19th century at the height of the Industrial Revolution, still apply today. We live in a similarly paradoxical era, only a more complex one. It was during Dickens' time that we began down the unstainable path of prioritizing industry over ecological health, mainly because we were captivated by the hope of progress, or resigned to its inevitability. These conditions really haven't changed. What is different is the accelerated pace of change. Most of the technological comforts we take for granted occurred within the past one hundred years, including electricity, which almost nobody had access to one hundred years ago.So how do we best live and love in modern times? Perhaps the key is to escape the boundaries of time. Both men on this program have stepped outside the conventions of their day. They have left behind modern technological conveniences and chosen to directly encounter the natural world. Thomas Rain Crowe, following the tracks of Thoreau, retreated to his own cabin in the woods, where he lived without electricity and running water for four years. Marc Thibault has ventured deep into the Amazon rainforest on many occasions. He just came back a couple of days ago. What have these men learned about life while indigenizing themselves to the land? Can we remember what it is to be fully human and learn to live and love in the broadest possible sense? What do kinship systems of nature teach us about love? Can modern society learn to go beyond insular love between two humans and become one with the Beloved, one with the Great Mystery of life we are all so privileged to experience.ABOUT OUR GUESTS:Thomas Rain Crowe is an internationally published author, editor, and translator of more than thirty books, including the multi-award winning memoir Zoro's Field: My Life in the Appalachian Woods (2005). He is also a publisher himself (New Native Press) which publishes works of environmental activism and cultural preservation. He was born and raised in Cullowhee, NC. in the Appalachian mountain region of western North Carolina, and this laid the foundation for his literary endeavors and also shaped his profound connection to his land based cultural heritage. During the 1970s he lived abroad in France and then returned to the US, moving to San Francisco, where he became editor of Beatitude (Be-at-a-tood) magazine and press in San Francisco, which made him one of the “Baby Beat” generation. From 1979-1982, he moved back to the woods of western North Carolina to live in the aforementioned cabin where he composed Zoro's Field. His literary repertoire includes poetry collections, essays, and books that delve into themes encompassing nature, spirituality, social issues, and the human condition. Beyond his original poetry, Crowe became renowned for his skillful translations of contemporary and historical European, Sufi, and Hindu poets, including his most recent publication, a masterful translation of select Kabir poems entitled Painting from the Palette of Love, which I might add, I just devoured over the last two days.  For a quarter century Marc Thibault has been involved in the social and environmental impact sphere as an entrepreneur, system thinkers and policy influencer covering a wide span of industries and issues developing novel solutions requiring human-centered design while integrating environmental and social concerns. His spent 10 years pioneering model-driven decision support systems until he had his first life-changing epiphany, when he realized how much modern humans, especially children, were exposed to toxic chemicals. Being a father of two boys, he devoted the next 15 years to solving environmental health issues working across the private, public and non-profit sectors and has also worked with hybrid B corps to provide plant based alternatives to toxic chemicals and better protect our children – And then he had his second life changing experience in 2012 when he visited the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest which led him to starting Nativien (an Indigenous-centered hybrid organization using the universal language of medicinal plants). He is currently active in supporting Indigenous Peoples to create a network of Living Pharmacies throughout the Amazon Rainforest, with three essential goals: 1) bring about a biocultural economy, 2) strengthen Indigenous Traditional Knowledge systems, and 3) change the way moderns relate to the natural world and traditional Indigenous communities.

How US Public Schools Became a New Religious BattlegroundUS News/Reuthers, By Liya Cui and Joseph Ax, on Aug. 7, 2024https://www.usnews.com/news/top-news/articles/2024-08-07/how-us-public-schools-became-a-new-religious-battleground In a discussion centering on the tension between religion and public education in the United States, the core theme highlights the rise of Christian nationalism and its implications for American identity. Proponents of Christian nationalism assert that to be American is to inherently be Christian, a claim often bolstered by a misinterpretation of the intentions of the nation's founders. Historical evidence suggests the founders sought a secular state with a democratic foundation that allowed individuals the freedom to practice any religion or none at all. They envisioned a country based on self-determination and the separation of church and state, a principle that is currently being challenged in places like Louisiana and Oklahoma. In Louisiana, new school policies mandate that the Ten Commandments be prominently displayed in every classroom, a move seen as a clear violation of the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits government endorsement of religion. Meanwhile, Oklahoma's educational system has adopted a policy requiring the Bible to be taught across all grade levels, with teachers expected to integrate biblical references into their lessons. These actions are drawing criticism for infringing upon the constitutional separation of church and state and are seen as attempts to indoctrinate students with a singular religious perspective. The conversation delves into the broader social and psychological aspects, suggesting that such policies stem from resistance to inclusivity and a desire to maintain traditional, conservative values. With a conservative majority in the Supreme Court, some lawmakers feel emboldened to push these boundaries, believing there is a possibility of getting away with such violations. The belief is that by presenting these religious teachings as fundamental to American identity, they can rally their base by portraying governmental pushback as an overreach and an infringement on religious freedom. This discussion also touches on the potential impact of these policies on educators and students. There is concern that the emphasis on religious content will detract from the teaching of critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge. This could undermine the quality of education and the development of well-rounded, analytical thinkers. Critics argue that a government's role should be to create unity from diversity, not to impose uniformity of thought. The conversation concludes by emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clear boundary between religion and government to prevent the criminalization of thoughts and beliefs. The current U.S. motto, "In God We Trust," is contrasted with the historical motto "E Pluribus Unum," advocating for a return to the latter as it better represents the inclusive and unifying ideals upon which the country was founded. The Non-Prophets, Episode 23.33.4 featuring Scott Dickie, Aaron Jensen, Jimmy Jr. and "Eli" (Eli Slack)Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-non-prophets--3254964/support.

I don't do verbatim transcripts of what I say during 3 Chords & the Truth in this space, where I'm enticing you to actually listen to 3 Chords & the Truth. And you know what? F*** that. This week, I will, because I had a revelation about what the hell I'm doing here on the Big Show. . . after nearly 17 years. Here goes.BEING THE politics nerd that I am, I've been watching the Democratic National Convention — and note there's an -ic on the end of Democrat. Calling a political party the “Democrat Party,” is like calling a Jewish barber a “Jew barber.” It's a slur; it's dehumanizing, and we don't do that in this country.Or, at least, we used to not do it most places. During Jim Crow, it was the strategy of all the wrong people in the South. I hope I don't need to elucidate, here.Anyway, something occurred to me as I watched. Something occurred to me about this show as I reflected on this convention and that other one last month. As I reflected on folks who get their knickers in a twist if, at some social event or another, they think there's not enough “White” music being played. And as segregated and as nasty as the Deep South could be when I was growing up, there's one thing that was great about it — “Black” music was “White” music, too. It was a bunch of what all-white Favog listened to back in the day. And “White” music was a bunch of what my Black high-school classmates listened to. There was one thing ol' Jim Crow failed miserably at, and that was in trying to segregate music and make our ears as separate and unequal as everything else.If you want to know what 3 Chords & the Truth is all about, it's about America. It's all “E pluribus unum” all the time — “Out of many, one.”In brief, there's only two kinds of music, good and bad. And the bad, we don't mess with.If you like this program, there's one thing I do not need to tell you: Music, like America, cannot be segregated. It does not recognize bigoted hierarchies of worth or authenticity. And it all belongs. Period. End of sentence . . . and of the argument. If you disagree, you probably have figured out this isn't the place for you. And, perhaps, neither is this country.WELL, that's all I have to say about that. It's 3 Chords & the Truth, y'all. Be there. Aloha.

The masonic influence in the formation of the United States is either confusing, irrelevant, or sensational, but it is rarely if ever viewed in its proper context.FREE ARCHIVE & RSS: https://www.spreaker.com/show/the-secret-teachingsTwitter: https://twitter.com/TST___RadioWEBSITE, BOOKS, RESUBSCRIBE YEARLY: http://thesecretteachings.infoPaypal: rdgable@yahoo.comCashApp: $rdgableBuy Me a Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/tstradioSUBSCRIBE TO NETWORK: http://aftermath.mediaEMAIL: rdgable@yahoo.com / TSTRadio@protonmail.com

What is the "Adversity of Diversity"? Returning guest Carol Swain explains to Dr. Chaps what it all means. You will want to get this important new book by Carol Swain. The book synopsis reads as follows: When the US Supreme Court announced its landmark 6-3 decision to take race out of the equation for college and university admissions, it did more than just bring affirmative action in higher education to a screeching halt. It also fired a warning shot across the bow of businesses and governmental agencies across America: the days for workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs that violate the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment have an expiration date. In The Adversity of Diversity, award-winning political scientist Carol M. Swain and collaborator Mike Towle offer an insightful look at DEI's inception and evolution into a billion-dollar industry. Swain and Towle explain why DEI's days are numbered and how we as a people can move beyond divisiveness toward the unity promised by our nation's motto, E Pluribus Unum, "out of many, one." Dr. John Vervaeke and guest Greg Thomas delve into the nuanced realm of 'Democracy as Antagonistic Cooperation' in the second installment of a captivating three-part series. Drawing parallels with jazz, Greg Thomas showcases how arts can lead to a deeper understanding and appreciation of democratic values. Dr. Vervaeke emphasizes the criticality of a shared cultural repertoire that trains cognition and shapes how democracy is internalized. They touch upon the often-overlooked interdependencies in politics, suggesting that opposing sides often complete each other, creating a holistic understanding. Greg Thomas brings forth the influence of Black Americans on democracy, given their unique sociocultural positioning. Topics span from the importance of humor in a democratic setup to the transformative virtues necessary for its functioning, marrying the worlds of art, music, and politics and offering a fresh perspective on the mechanics of democracy.   Resources:   Videos John Vervaeke: Democracy and the Relevance Realization of Distributed Cognition Books Developmental Politics: How America Can Grow Into a Better Version of Itself - Steve McIntosh Civic Jazz: American Music and Kenneth Burke on the Art of Getting Along - Gregory Clark Zombies in Western Culture: A Twenty-First Century Crisis - John Vervaeke, Christopher Mastropietro, and Filip Miscevic The Courage to Be - Paul Tillich How Culture Works - Paul Bohannan Justice by Means of Democracy | Talking to Strangers: Anxieties of Citizenship since Brown v. Dr. Vervaeke explains opponent processing.   [00:08:10] Dr. John Vervaeke discusses the concept of polarity in politics, where each side demonizes the other, leading to a breakdown of collective intelligence and problem-solving capabilities. Greg Thomas points out the interdependent polarities in American politics, where the gaps and biases of one side are filled by the other.    [00:10:40] A significant question arises: How can we bridge political divides?   [00:16:52] Greg Thomas introduces the book, Civic Jazz, which integrates the work of Kenneth Burke, discusses the importance of rhetoric in art and communication, and explains how art, particularly jazz, can move people toward a realization of American civic and democratic ideals.    [00:26:05] Dr. John Vervaeke discusses the importance of cultural forms, such as music, in training cognition and proposes the transformation of dialectic into dialogos as a means to provide people with alternatives to the courtroom of debate, emphasizing the need for a broadly shared cultural repertoire that affords the cultural cognitive grammar of appropriating and appreciating democracy.   [00:30:00] Black Americans' unique democratic perspective is discussed, seen through the lens of Jazz. Dr. Vervaeke discusses the adjacent innovation thesis, highlighting peripheral perspectives.   [00:38:18] Greg Thomas showcases the educational prowess of his band, blending theory with musical practice, and describes a moment of antagonistic cooperation where the band was challenged to demonstrate their process of integrating new members and resolving conflicts.   [00:46:48] Discussion of the concept of scapegoats, particularly in a democratic society. Thomas emphasizes the importance of recognizing the sacrifices made by others for social cohesion and the significance of peaceful transitions of power.    [00:55:12] The visceral nature of fear and the feeling of impending doom are discussed, likening this feeling to the suspense and terror in a well-crafted horror movie. The movie "Get Out" is discussed as a reflection of identity manipulation.   [01:00:01] The symbolic "sunken place" is unpacked, discussing enslavement and manipulation in democratic societies. Greg Thomas discusses the importance of respecting and honoring those who sacrifice and lose in a democracy.   [01:07:00] The role of humor in preventing conflicts from turning hostile is highlighted.   [01:08:38] Dr. Vervaeke poses a thought-provoking question about the displaced scapegoat function in societies. They explore how certain forms of scapegoating, such as lynching, have been eradicated, but the underlying function may still persist in different manifestations, prompting reflection on how to address this function in a changing society.   [01:17:17] Dr. John Vervaeke discusses the concept of being a citizen of the cosmos, emphasizing the crucial transformation of character and the cultivation of virtue and wisdom that it demands. He highlights how cultivating these virtues is essential for the effective functioning of a democracy.   [01:18:45] Democracy 3.0 is introduced, hinting at an evolved democratic pattern language.

Like speed limits on a Southern highway. 1.5 lbs grass-fed ground beef, ground chicken or ground turkey 2 Tbsp oil 1 bay leaf 1/4 stick cinnamon 1/2 C diced onion 1/2 C diced celery 3/4 C diced carrots 1 C diced red or green bell pepper (or both) 3 garlic cloves, minced 1.5 Tbsp coriander powder 2 tsp cumin powder 2 tsp fennel powder 1 tsp smoked paprika 1/4 tsp turmeric 1.5 C marinara sauce 1 C canned, crushed tomatoes 1 tsp dried mint 2-ish C water 1 box spaghetti (If you're cooking the sauce and pasta separately, then feel free to splurge on the fancy pastas that create a very starchy pasta water. That fancy pasta starch can work against you if you cook it all together though. Cheaper pasta is better for cooking in sauce) Chopped fresh cilantro, parsley, maybe a little mint for garnish A few notes: Chop the onions, peppers and tomatoes to achieve your desired level of chunking in your sauce. Just remember if you didn't like chunky Prego sauce growing up, you probably won't like it now I cook the sauce like we would a curry in India - which means you're frying, not sweating, the onions + carrots + celery + bell peppers. If it burns a little, just add a splash of water to cool down the temp. It's all about cooking over medium-high heat until the oil oozes out the sides. Brown the meat but don't cook it all the way through. If you're using beef, drain most of the fat except for a teaspoon or two (i do that for flavor). Remove to a plate/bowl. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until the oil is hot. Add the bay leaf and cinnamon stick to the oil until you hear it sizzle for about 30 seconds. Dump in the onions, carrots, celery and bell peppers. Cook until the onion starts browning on the edges - about 10 minutes.. Ideally, it'll even burn a little. Stir frequently to avoid sticking and add splashes of water if it sticks. Add the garlic, stir and cook until you smell it. Then add all the spices at once and stir it up. Keep the heat at medium-high and cook for about 3-4 minutes until you see the oil gather at the edges of your very brown-ish colored vegetable mess. Add the tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes. Keep that heat up - you're basically “frying” the sauce. Stir often. Cook for a few minutes until you see the oil gather at the edges. Add in the mint and browned meat, turn the heat down to medium-low and let it simmer for at least 15 minutes (The longer it simmers, the better). Break up the pasta to fit into the pot, push the pasta down and mix it into the sauce as much as you can. Add 2-ish cups of water so it covers the noodles by a quarter inch. Bring it a boil, then cover and turn down to a hard simmer. Stir every few minutes to make sure the pasta doesn't stick together.Add water as needed. It should be done after 10-12 minutes, depending on the pasta you use. When it's al dente, take it off the heat and let it rest, and stir it around. Dump chopped herbs on top and serve!

Sugar cane field burning: the consequences of the centuries-old practice and possible alternatives

For over 200 years in the United States, sugar cane field burning has been a tool that farmers use in the pre-harvest season to remove the tops of the sugar cane plant. However, the smoke from that burning can cause fog in the air, which leads to low visibility along roads and highways. This has been enough of a problem to cause road accidents, and in Louisiana, it has even caused some fatalities.  Earlier this year, John Achee of Assumption Parish launched Citizens Against Agricultural Field Burning, a nonprofit that advocates for field burning alternatives. He joins us today for more.  The organization E Pluribus Unum, founded by former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, has released the latest in its annual series of surveys looking at southerners' opinions on racial issues. This year's findings revealed that roughly three quarters of southerners are in favor of some form of reparations to African Americans to address slavery.  Scott Hutcheson, executive director of E Pluribus Unum, joins us to break down the survey.  Today's episode of Louisiana Considered was hosted by Adam Vos.
