De R&R en Rockabilly band uit het Land van Cuijk, bestaande uit Martijn Willems, Bert Damink, Willy Cornelissen en Henk Honing, markeert een mijlpaal: 20 jaar van muzikale reis. Met een geschiedenis die teruggaat tot 40 jaar geleden voor sommigen van hen, is Eightball Boppers niet zomaar een band; het is een tijdloze eenheid van muzikale passie en vriendschap. Het verhaal begon met Martijn Willems uit Ledeacker, Bert Damink uit Sint Anthonis en Willy Cornelissen uit Rijkevoort, die al vier decennia lang samen muziek maken. Later sloot Henk Honing uit Mill zich aan bij de groep, waardoor het kwartet compleet werd. Eerst bekend als Keessie & the Seltens of swing, vonden ze in januari 2004 hun thuis als Eightball Boppers. Op zondag 10 maart viert de band hun 20-jarig jubileum met een speciale muzikale middag vanaf 15.00 uur in MFA Oelbroeck in Sint Anthonis. Deze middag, die gratis toegankelijk is voor het publiek, belooft een feest te worden vol verrassingen. Diverse dansgroepen zullen aanwezig zijn en er staan gastoptredens gepland.
