Formerly, "The Kiran Roberts Podcast" GOD first, then hustle. Follow me as I expose my entrepreneurial DNA and obsessions, while documenting my journey of trying to build an empire on empathy and love, using the lessons and teachings of powerful people who see success a little differently to most.…
The first official episode of The Unfunk! If this confuses you in any way, check out the last episode where Kiran explains the changes. Don't worry, there will still be solo episodes from him, but with so much more as well. Today's conversation is a wide-ranging and difficult conversation I had with Kiran on divorce and relationships. Despite Kiran having terrible allergies and me feeling like the bed was calling, we were fortunate to have so many great points come to light. Honestly, this was healing for us, and I hope for you as well. Can't wait to see you next week - Nicole. Check out our NEW website here: https://www.theunfunk.com/
To the three people that care, this is the end of Hitchhiking to Healing, and the birth of something so much better.
This clip was taken from a video I made for Instagram, on my journey leaving church, and how it forced me to audit my beliefs.
Podcast note: I'm so sorry for the poor sound - my phone was foolishly nearby and caused static throughout. To somewhat fix it, I've added music. I couldn't delete this episode, I loved it too much. More than anything, I hope this episode widens your view on healing, and what it means to be a human. Podcast note: apologies for the poor sound - without realising I recorded without a microphone cover. Having doubt is a stigmatised state of mind within faith circles. 'Faith' almost demands that you stand resolute in the face of any real questions. Well, that screwed me up coming up as a Christian, sending me down the rabbit hole of atheism, and this is the journey of me struggling with it. We have perverted what it means to have a purpose, to live purpose, to be people guided by purpose. I'm yet to really see a consensus on what the word means, yet it's thrown around within self-help and faith community circles, and often erroneously tethered to career. In this episode, I outline what I've come to know as purpose. It's far from exhaustive, but the central idea really speaks to the heart of what I believe is true purpose. I hope you enjoy it, and I would love to hear your thoughts. Signup for my daily meditation: https://www.hitchhikingtohealing.com
This episode was incredibly hard to make. I wanted to wait as long as possible from the recent protests to allow women and victims to have the space to speak for themselves. Subsequently, within the past two weeks, three women were murdered as well as a baby, in Australia. Not killed, murdered at the hands of men. This doesn't even encapsulate the thousands of women every single day in fear for the lives and the lives of their children. There is no good time to talk about this, there is only now. I believe more than ever, that unless we form a precise and powerful picture of what it means to be a man, our boys will not have anything to step into, and what will replace it is a toxic and repressed form that looks like a man but is nothing like one. I can't speak for women, and I would never try and take that place, but I must speak out. I must. I hope this finds it's way to the men that want to be better, the parents with boys struggling what to do, and anyone wanting a love centred world.
At some point, I realised I was hitchhiking to healing. Yes, I was walking up the mountain, but as I looked back, I realised I had not gotten here on my own, and as I looked up, I knew I couldn't get much further without help. This podcast is my journey, hitchhiking with some of the greatest minds and vivacious personalities I've ever met, as well as all the goodness I've picked up on the road myself and hidden in my rucksack. Some are dead, others alive, some from the world of psychology, others from art, theology, science, and philosophy. All wonderfully, and often painfully, taking me up the mountain.
Hi Team, on this episode, I recap the first episode of my new Youtube series, where I set a monster challenge before me to get out of my comfort zone. I go deeper into the why of the challenge, and why you should do the same. Head to: @empathyempirepodcast on Instagram / @kiranroberts on Youtube to chek out the series.
Hey Podcast listeners, today, I'm sick... but I still got so much done. And that's what I really wanted to dive deep into today. How can you still be productive when you're sick or you have a life emergency? How can you still work through dark periods and times of change? The answer is much deeper and practical than being organised or even finding your passion, and I hope this helps you and brings you value.
Hey Guys, on this weeks podcast, I talk about my journey with the truth, the need to speak it, and the consequences of leaving it trapped inside of you.
Hey Podcast Listeners, this is one of my favourite topics to talk about and an idea that had absolutely changed my life. It's really the reason why I started this podcast and even wrote a free 78-page book for Naked Billy. I really hope you can find value in it today. Love you all and I hope your weekend is amazing! CHECK out the full video on "Kiran Roberts" - Confidence can be confusing. Everyone wants to be confident, but it's not really something you can just be. It's not an action at all, it's a state of being. In this episode, I dive deep into the truth of confidence, and why it has nothing to do with behaviour, and everything to do with your self-worth. Hi Podcast Listeners, on this short episode I break down five keys that are fundamental to achieving success. These aren't revolutionary, but they are the basics, and it's often by using the basics that we win in life. Take these, be reminded of what's important, and keep crushing it wherever you find yourself.
Hey podcast listeners, today I want to share with you a fundamental idea that will allow you to control the future. That's right, you can control the future. It's not revolutionary, but it is the only way to fulfil your potential and calling in this life. If you enjoyed this episode and would like more, please follow me on Instagram @empathyempirepodcast
Hey podcast listeners, you need to know that YOU are an innovator, and that means that you need to create and not debate. Today I want to share my own personal struggle with paralysis by analysis, and how even despite writing an entire section of my book to judgment, I sometimes allow it to dictate my life.
Hey podcast listeners, today I want to introduce you to the Empathy Empire podcast as a new project of mine. Unlike The Kiran Roberts Podcast, this project is really a reflection of my life, in that it has direction and intention behind it, not just rants. I really hope you enjoy this introductory episode and you can join me on this journey. Much love, Kiran.
In this episode, I end it all. P.s Don't unsubscribe ;)
In this episode, I re-articulate my vision for social media, how you should be sharing your faith, and how I want to help you.
In this episode, I tell the little story of a powerful woman for God, I talk about executing on your calling, and how redefining your labels can be more powerful than changing them. Yes, I'm nasally, yes, I stutter, and yes, it's not perfect, but God spoke through so powerfully, and I know you will take something from it.
In this episode, I talk about mental health, how and why the Christian church feels 10 years behind the world on addressing it, what we need to be impactful and influential in the world, and the need to simplify your faith and make it more practical. See you on the other side of the headphones.
Ah the age old question. If you are graduating high school at the end of the year, or you've left university among the 90% of people who never use their degree, this episode is for you. I talk about what I think you should do after high school, starting the race late in life, and why you should never do anything based on other people's judgments and expectation - not even ya mum ;) Tomorrow I'm diving deep on how to learn and become smart on your own. See you then!
I screwed up. Big time. I acted so out of character that it scared me, and now I need to move forward. We all need to move forward. If you have ever screwed up, you're not alone. Here's my truth and my struggle for all to see, and I hope you realise that all I want is to grow from my mistakes, and I hope some of the things I speak about will help you do the same.
On this episode, I talk about my own pivot on the podcast, my journey through getting to where I am, and what the future of the podcast looks like.
I had the absolute pleasure to sit down with an iconoclast of this generation. He is a graphic designer and barista, but it's his insight into faith, culture and art that really made me want to speak with him. This was my first interview, so I wasn't in my best shape, but it was still a banging podcast and I'm excited to see what you draw from it.
John Chapter One. This is a reading of John chapter one, and for the next 21 days, I'll be recording and posting a chapter every day. You can listen to it on it's own or use it as part of your 777 challenge, where you pray for seven minutes, read for seven minutes, and think on the text for seven minutes. I want to make the Bible as frictionless as possible for you to consume, because it really is the only way to know God.
We all doubt. We doubt ourselves, we doubt our calling, and we doubt God. But for me, the struggle isn't whether I doubt or not, the question is knowing what to do with it? Am I sinning if I doubt? Is my faith not strong enough if I doubt? If we don't get this right, many of us will continue to live empty spiritual lives as we try to mask the reality of our walk with Jesus. I think this episode is really going to help a lot of you come to terms with your doubt, and it may be the very key to helping you finally be in the space where you are authentically living your faith. I love you, and I'll see you on the other side of the headphones.
Hi, this is an introductory episode to my podcast, where I speak a little bit to my story, and how my growth has shaped the way I view my weakness and vulnerabilities.
