With so many blazing fires in the world and the constant upheaval in our daily lives, it's easy to get overwhelmed by what we think needs to get done. What protest do I go to? Do I sit and meditate to help the collective frequency? Do I do both? How? What if nothing I do actually affects any kind of change? But the real question is: how can we focus on what feeds and nourishes us? Yes, we must continue to fight for collective liberation. And yes, we have to tend to the daily responsibilities of caring for ourselves and our families, but can we do them in ways that allow us to feel fed by them? Can we reframe washing dishes into a kind of meditation, for example? When it comes to being a human in the world, are we choosing actions that help to create the life that we envision for ourselves? Or are we doing things out of obligation, things that feel like we *should* do? These are questions I'm asking all of us in this week's episode. Transforming your mental, physical and spiritual health is possible. Karima McKenzie is a certified educator with 22 years of experience, and she has had the privilege of inspiring thousands as a math teacher, coach, and administrator. Her journey hasn't been without its challenges—after battling burnout, anxiety, depression, and coming dangerously close to suicide, she found her purpose. She helps individuals and organizations develop self-awareness, overcome anxiety and emotional challenges, and become the best versions of themselves. Her workshops, courses, and book combine holistic practices with actionable steps to create a life of purpose, balance, and clarity. Method (Truth, Exercise, Meditate, Protect, Love, Eat to Live, Speak Your Truth), a few daily practices students can adopt to stay grounded and balanced, what does it mean to treat your body like a temple, what does setting a boundary actually look like in real life, how we can honor ourselves by saying no, why mentorship so crucial for young students, and healthy ways college students can express emotions. Hello and welcome to the show! What we're going to do is a meditation. I'm getting a lot of energy around the throat chakra. This is a blue color, and it relates to self-expression—being able to speak, say your mind, and express your truth. A lot of people who have healing gifts were told to be quiet when they were young or had a mom who said, "Children should be seen and not heard." In a fascinating way, I have friends who are Indian, Chinese, American, Irish, and from many parts of the world, including Mexico. So much of the planet has a patriarchal approach where women traditionally weren't encouraged to be heard. The problem with that is if we don't say our truth and express ourselves, it's hard to evolve as human beings on the planet. So we're going to do a quick guided meditation. We'll go through the normal process and then do some extra blue chakra work—beautiful energy around self-expression. I'm so happy to bring this to you today! My name is Erica, and I have a new website, Energy Clearing for Life. It's going to feature my meditations, and you'll be able to buy things—it'll be super fun! It's being built for me right now as we speak. Let's begin by pulling blue energy up through the balls of our feet. Imagine going down to the center of the earth and pulling blue energy up through your feet. Nice. Now, bring that blue energy up through your knees. Sit with your spine straight if you can. It's a good idea to close your eyes if you're able. That was releasing some energy right there. See that blue energy coming up through the balls of your feet and through your knees. Now, focus on your sit bones, the base of your butt, and your sacral area. Run some red energy in little circles through that space. Ask yourself, “Can I clear anything blocking my base chakra?” Just set the intention: Let's clear anything out that isn't serving me right now. Very nice. Now, move to the second chakra, just below the belly button. This operates at an orange frequency. Let's roll some orange energy through that part of the body. Many people carry trauma from past lifetimes, current lifetimes, or abusive relationships. That area can hold a lot, so go ahead and clear it with a beautiful wave of orange energy. Next, let's move to the solar plexus, which operates at a yellow color. Imagine rolling yellow energy through it. I once had a galactic astrologer tell me I have a lot of yellow in my field, which I thought was pretty cool! Yellow and turquoise are my two colors. So let's roll yellow right through your solar plexus. Now, place your hand on your heart. Thank yourself for all that you do, all that you are, and for being here on the planet at this time. Just honor the fact that you chose to be here during a time of massive change. So much is shifting so quickly—AI is doing a lot of things (though it's definitely not recording my podcast for me yet!). Now, let's move up to the third eye. Focus on that spot between your eyebrows and run some violet energy through it. Then, right above the top of your head, picture white energy flowing through your crown chakra. Let's go back to the throat chakra now. Take a deep breath. Thank you, throat chakra. Thank yourself for speaking your truth. Thank yourself for journaling—if you do. Maybe you record things, even if they never see the light of day. Thank your throat chakra for allowing you to express your higher truth. Roll some blue energy through it and feel it expand. Now, imagine yourself feeling completely free in your self-expression. See what it feels like to be fully in your body—whether you're at an event, on the phone, or with family. What does it feel like to be completely comfortable saying what you want, without fear, shame, or the pressure to be perfect? Let's release that. Give yourself permission to say silly things. Give yourself permission to be the "tall poppy"—to shine, stand out, and be seen. Now, reach up to the heavens. One of my favorite meditations is inspired by another woman named Erica. She says, Reach up to a star in heaven—it's your own star. Say hello to it, and bring that energy down into your body. See your throat chakra being completely unplugged and free. If you've had an idea for a book, podcast, video, or YouTube channel, imagine it unfolding. Picture yourself speaking, sharing, allowing, and being fully YOU. If you've ever felt different from your family, you're not alone. I was so different from mine—my brother once told me, after living with me for a summer, that he understood me even less! If your blood family never truly "got" you, release the shame and self-doubt that comes from seeking their approval. Some people may never validate you in the way you hope—but that's okay. You are enough. Now, bathe yourself in golden light from head to toe. Let's go beyond the seven chakras to the 7 to 15 etheric chakras outside your body. Reach up to the heavens and ask for white light to flow through you. Let it clear away anything that's not in your highest good. Thank you so much for sharing this meditation with me! I look forward to many more. Pretty soon, you'll be able to visit my website—I can't wait to share more with you. "Before you speak, ask yourself: “Is it honest? Is it kind? Is it necessary? Is it the right time? Does it improve the silence?” - Sathya Sai BabaToday, Erin and Sasha explore the 5th Chakra of speech, poetically named Vishuddha, meaning “purification of poison.” Vishuddha Chakra represents the Ether element, and the ability to turn poison into nectar - the process of purification. It is located in the throat, and is the seat of the power of the word. It brings Prana to the respiratory system. “The more silence behind your word, the greater the impact.” You may find, upon personal practice, that the simple elegance of Silence can be prescribed to most internal challenges. This chakra represents the quality of honest communication, turning ignorance into awareness, transmutation, choice, alchemy, infinity, receptivity, sensitivity, self-expression, “finding one's voice,” the ability to speak from the heart, and the ability to listen from the heart. Used properly, Vishuddha makes our words nectar, not poison. All poison becomes nectar when Vishuddha is strong and stable, developed and activated. Our words create reality, and since they originate from thought, our thoughts create our reality. Therefore, words are not only descriptive, but creative. When Vishuddha is activated, everywhere you go, becomes better as a result of you being there. If too much noise is there, too much talking or too much thinking, Vishuddha cannot be stabilized, because the element it represents is Ether (spaciousness, emptiness). The bija mantra for Vishuddha is “Hum,” which means “I am.” Because on a micro-level, we are God: the creator, preserver, and destroyer. Which brings me to the story of Samudra Manthan, the churning of the ocean. Once upon a time, the devas (gods) and asuras (demons) were on a quest to retrieve Amrita, the sacred nectar of immortality. In doing so, they had to churn the ocean using Mount Mandara as the churning rod, and Vasuki (the serpent King) as their rope. As they churned in what appears to be the original tug of war, Divine gifts emerged, like Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, and the celestial cow Kamadhenu. However, before the Amrita appeared, a deadly poison called Halahala surfaced, threatening to destroy all of existence. Terrified, the devas and asuras turned to Lord Shiva for help, and in an act of supreme selflessness, he took the poison to his mouth to prevent it from harming creation. But instead of swallowing it or spitting it out, he held it in his throat, where it turned his skin blue, earning him the name of Neelkantha (the Blue throated one). This moment of holding and transforming toxicity without allowing it to spread, is the symbolic origin of the Vishuddha Chakra. Just as Lord Shiva purified the deadly poison without letting it harm him, Vishuddha governs the purification of thought, word, and energy. Shiva's restraint symbolizes conscious speech, wisdom, and the power of truth. The throat chakra teaches that life contains both poison (negativity, challenges) and nectar (divine wisdom). It is our ability to process, hold, and transmute energy that determines our spiritual growth. This chakra represents self-mastery, communication, and purification. Like Shiva, we must learn to hold challenges with grace, not letting toxicity consume us but instead transforming it into wisdom. When our Vishuddha Chakra is balanced, we speak with clarity, authenticity, and purpose, just as Shiva's act saved creation. Welcome to the SpeakUPZee Podcast, the show designed to motivate, inspire, and push you to become the best version of yourself! In this episode, titled “Finding the Courage to Speak Your Truth,” we're diving into the power of standing in your truth—no matter how uncomfortable it may be. Too many people silence themselves out of fear of judgment, rejection, or misunderstanding. But real growth starts when you find the courage to express yourself fully and unapologetically.
“Learn from the L's and the wins in life—it's not a one-sided coin.” In this episode, Nick speaks with Mark Ross, a Marine Corps veteran and host of the Speak Your Truth podcast. Mark shares his journey through mental health struggles, including PTSD, suicidal thoughts, and the impact of his military experience. What to listen for: The journey of self-discovery through counseling. The challenges of wearing a mask in society. Encouragement for veterans to seek help and compensation for their struggles. Understanding the importance of learning from both successes and failures. Self-mastery involves continuous growth and self-acceptance. “Sometimes going through hell creates a better, more authentic version of yourself.” Tough times often force us to reflect and strip away what's not serving us, revealing our truest selves. The struggles we face can help us align more with who we truly are rather than who we think we should be. Difficult experiences can teach resilience, self-awareness, and clarity about our values. Emerging from hardship can feel like a transformation—like becoming a "new" you with deeper understanding and strength. Recognizing the beauty in how hardship shapes us allows us to embrace the authenticity that comes from those experiences. “The most courageous thing we can do is keep moving, even when it sucks.” Taking steps forward, no matter how small, builds strength and helps us persevere through tough times. Even if progress feels slow, it's better than standing still—motion itself creates possibilities. Acknowledging that something is hard while still moving forward is a form of bravery in itself. Every time you keep going, you're proving to yourself that you can handle more than you thought possible. About Mark Ross Mark is a Marine Corps veteran and mental health advocate who suffers from PTSD. He is also the creator of The Speak Your Truth with Mark Ross Podcast. His goal is to spread awareness of how mental health affects people and their families. Do you wish you could take up space, speak your truth, and show up as your authentic self without fear or making apologies? Wellness + Wisdom | Episode 698 How does the pro-blame bias influence our thinking and judgment? Cory Clark, Behavioral Scientist, joins Josh Trent on the Wellness + Wisdom Podcast, episode 698, to unpack why we shouldn't fully trust science, how victim mentality creates a dysfunctional dynamic, the dangers of social media-fueled tribalism, and how self-awareness, courage, and meaningful conflict can transform the way we create an honest connection with others in today's world. "When you have people who identify strongly with a political in-group on the left or right, they start to become very afraid of contradicting beliefs that are strongly held by their in-group based on the fear of being ostracized. Our brains evolved to be averse, trying to avoid anything that could get us ostracized from our social group. So we're giving so much power to the extremists within our own group when most of the time, they're not the people to be listening to." - Cory Clark

Morning Mantra: "You never look good trying to make someone else look bad."The internet has made it possible for us to connect with others everywhere. It also has made it possible for people to feel they have the right to say anything. I get this every single day in my business. It's difficult but you must vow not to engage. Don't waste time having imaginary arguments with imaginary people. You can speak your truth AND do it with kindness, compassion and respect for differences. If people want to bully and be mean, ignore them. Don't spend your precious energy trying to justify and defend. Preserve it for spreading love and kindness. As one of my favorite authors says, "if you're not kind on the internet, you are not kind." {Glennon Doyle}So be kind, spread love, and ignore the haters.#BeRealAndKind #BeHappy #BeHorsey #BeHippie #HorseHippie #MorningMantra #InspirationalQuotes
Being authentic means daring to voice your thoughts and beliefs, even when they challenge the status quo. It's about recognizing that your perspective is valid and valuable. When you speak your truth (even if your voice shakes), you not only empower yourself but also inspire others to do the same. Each time you choose honesty over approval from others, you create a cascading effect of authenticity, encouraging those around you to step into their own light. What's The Message from this Super Full Moon in Taurus? Claim Your Value, Claim Yourself. Why is this lunar cycle with Taurus so important? We have a powerful connection occurring between the Moon, Sun in Scorpio and Uranus in Taurus, Saturn in Pisces, and Mercury in Leo, going retrograde. Also another major planetary change is happening with Pluto moving into Aquarius. The Moon and Uranus are in a dance right now. Uranus is the planet of sudden happenings, absolute change, deep visionary perspectives, innovation, and the releasing of old, status quo attitudes and of false and erroneous beliefs. Uranus has been 7 years in the sign of Taurus. In its final degrees, it is also joining up with Pluto in Capricorn. So this Full Moon along with the other "planetary councilors", are questioning whether we will meet the challenge of claiming personal and collective sovereignty and autonomy? "Freedom or Tyranny" ?As you listen to the ideas and questions that I put forth in this episode of "Your Wild Soul Reflection", ask yourself how are you going to show up in these next years? For clarification the Moon is where we have our deepest feelings of emotional, psychic awareness, comfort and inner life well-being. The Moon is how we feel nurtured, receive and give comfort. Taurus is exalted in the Moon placement. This means that Taurus is at ease, relaxed, and inspired to be connecting with the Moon. Well, here's the message about change. Recall that I mentioned Venus is the guiding/ruling planet of Taurus. At this time Venus is giving us support, through a placement in the sign of Capricorn. Venus represents the ability to attract, relate, and see the beauty in our lives. In a greater sense, it's about how we value and exchange our uniqueness, one with the other. This lunar cycle with the Taurus Moon, Sun in Scorpio, Uranus in Taurus and even Saturn in Pisces are asking us to take a deep and profound journey. What kind of world do you want to create? This Full Moon is shining a lunar light on our treasures of self-worth, inner and outer resources which can be our Soul/ life gifts, talents, abilities. We are each the "Answer" for creating the way we want to live. Embrace your wisdom, guidance and treasure. Be a Voice of Truth. Trust in Yourself and be open to support from the Universe. Let's have an Astrology Conversation. I look forward to seeing you. In this week's episode of OBSESSED we're diving into the power of voice and storytelling, drawing inspiration from icons like Barbra Walters and Oprah Winfrey—women who've captivated audiences and changed conversations for decades. We'll talk about how to craft a compelling voice that commands attention, connects deeply, and inspires action. But it doesn't stop there. As a true crime enthusiast, I'm particularly inspired by the storytelling brilliance in shows like Reasonable Doubt on Investigation Discovery, where Detective Chris Anderson and Fatima Silva dig into cases, seeking truth and justice. They show how powerful voices can seek clarity and serve a purpose greater than themselves. In today's episode, we'll explore how to channel the art of compelling communication into your own ventures, whether you're pitching ideas, creating content, or simply sharing your story.

This noble-sounding little statement has been around for a couple of decades but was popularized by Oprah Winfrey at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards. She stated, “Speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we have.” In all fairness, she was talking about those women who dared to speak up about being sexually harassed; however, the quip rapidly became a modern mantra for those who say absolute truth doesn't exist, but that all truth is individual and comes from within.I. We Should Know the TruthII. We Should Guard the TruthIII. We Should Speak the TruthTalk with God: Meditate on John 17:14-19 and ask the Lord to sanctify your life by the truth of His Word.Talk with others: Ask your Connect Group how they stay “ready in season and out of season” (v. 2).Talk with kids: Who can you share the gospel with?

SHOW NOTES: On this show…we unleash our instincts and seize the moment as we find our voice and speak our truth. How many moments have passed you by? Has the cat got your tongue as you overanalyzed a situation instead of acting on impulse? That is time you can't get back and possibilities that will never be. Life's too short to hold back. Acting on instinct and speaking your truth in the moment is about embracing the now, not waiting for the ‘perfect' time. When you trust your gut and say what you mean, you create real connections, take bolder actions, and live more authentically. Time is precious, and we don't always get second chances to express how we feel or take that leap. It's about being brave, trusting yourself, and seizing every opportunity before it slips away. What is holding you back? Have you ever stepped back and widened your perspective to better understand why you second-guess yourself? No really, it is that easy. So many times we act or don't act but never question why. You aren't a robot programmed by someone else. You have complete power and if you don't, it's time to take it back. Operating on instinct does not mean operating on auto-pilot. It means when you feel led to act…act. If you don't trust yourself to take that kind of quick action then there is something there that needs our attention. Overcoming self-doubt is key to acting on instinct and truly seizing the moment. We often second-guess ourselves, waiting until we feel “ready,” but the truth is, there's no perfect time. Self-doubt holds us back from expressing what's in our hearts and taking bold steps forward. When you push past those doubts and trust yourself, you unlock the power to act with confidence and authenticity. It's about realizing that your voice matters, your instincts are valid, and every moment you hesitate is a moment missed. Let's dive into this topic so we can reach a level of trust with yourself because you're more capable than you think. Joe Costello asks, What's Holding You Back? - found on LinkedIn On Mel Robbin's YouTube channel, I found so important tips on - What's The Quickest Way To Success? Ending This One Habit | Mel Robbins At My Saltwater Skyline I found Time is Precious: Making the Most of Each Moment Building trust in yourself is about developing confidence in your abilities, decisions, and instincts. It's a process that takes time, self-awareness, and practice. Here are some steps to help you build that self-trust: Keep Promises to Yourself: Start by setting small, achievable goals and following through with them. Whether it's sticking to a daily habit or completing a task, honoring your commitments to yourself builds self-trust over time. Acknowledge Your Strengths: Reflect on what you're good at. Make a list of your strengths, skills, and past accomplishments. Recognizing your capabilities reinforces the belief that you can handle future challenges. Learn from Mistakes, Don't Dwell on Them: Mistakes are inevitable, but instead of beating yourself up, see them as learning opportunities. When you accept that errors are part of growth, it helps you feel more comfortable taking risks and trusting your judgment. Be Decisive: Practice making decisions without overanalyzing or seeking constant reassurance from others. Trusting yourself in small decisions helps you build confidence for bigger ones. Even if the outcome isn't perfect, you'll learn that you can handle it. Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself, especially during tough times. Self-criticism erodes self-trust, while self-compassion fosters a sense of security in your ability to handle whatever comes your way. Honor Your Values: Stay true to what matters to you. When your actions align with your core values, it reinforces your belief in yourself and gives you a clear sense of direction. Listen to Your Instincts: Begin trusting your gut feelings. Acting on small intuitive decisions builds a sense of self-reliance. The more you follow your instincts, the more confidence you'll gain in their accuracy. Set Boundaries: Protect your energy and well-being by setting boundaries with others. This shows that you respect your own needs, reinforcing that you can rely on yourself to prioritize your well-being. Celebrate Progress: Recognize and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. Each time you succeed or make a positive decision, it strengthens your belief in yourself. Surround Yourself with Positivity: Surround yourself with people who support and believe in you. Positive reinforcement from others helps boost your self-confidence and trust in your abilities. Building trust in yourself is about consistently showing up for yourself, learning from the journey, and practicing self-kindness. As you cultivate this self-trust, you'll become more confident in your decisions and actions. CHALLENGE: Trust your gut, take that leap, and let those small actions build into something amazing. Stop waiting—seize the moment, follow your instincts, and watch how those every day wins turn into something life-changing. I Know YOU Can Do It!

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” - Carl Jung Would it not be great if you had financial freedom? Everyone dreams of this elusive state of comfort and choice without actively working. However, the journey to it goes beyond monetary gains. It is a transformative process of losing old notions of self and embracing a new identity. It involves shedding limiting beliefs, breaking free from societal conditioning, and redefining one's purpose to live a more authentic life. This is the path that my guest, Dan Jukes, has taken. Rising from rejections and disappointments, he is now a trailblazer with the courage to speak his truth and inspires others to do the same. His passion to help people find their voice, uncover their purpose and live boldly has led him to create a movement that continues to reshape lives. By providing financial literacy and the needed mindset, he has empowered individuals to achieve success early in life. Although he lives the coveted lifestyle, he remains driven by the desire to be a vessel in other's journeys. Listen in, gather insights and be motivated as we delve more into Dan Jukes' story. Krista discusses how our voice reflects our energy, defensiveness, and denial – it is the nexus point connecting mind, body, and soul. Almost 30 has allowed Krista to reclaim her voice and self, and she reflects on the challenging but beautiful path that comes with being heard by a large audience. Throughout the journey of building the podcast, Krista has had to confront the fear of speaking her truth, the fear of abandonment, and the pressure to conform. Though not always easy, Krista encourages us to embrace the unique manifestation of our consciousness through our voice.
