Hello to you listening in Cartegena, Columbia, South America!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga.Perhaps like me you have walked a long road to find out how to use your voice to shine a light into the world that would be vastly incomplete without you. Perhaps you might still feel self-conscious about using the power of your voice.Hear me when I say this: it's your time! You did not come to Earth to be quiet. Set aside your limiting beliefs. They are of no use to you! The world needs what you have to give. If what you have to give is a cup of water would you deny it to a world that is thirsty? Of course not!The more you get to the heart of your message and the message of your heart the more likely it is that you will speak your truth, live your truth, and the world will be less thirsty.CTA: You can always read another "How To" book; but how much more fun, engaging and memorable would it be if you and I could chat about how you can get to the heart of your message to connect with, engage and influence your audience. If you are curious email me at Quarter Moon Story Arts to set up a Discovery Chat. Let's get to the heart of your message! You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Have you ever noticed how life hands you gifts you never expected—especially in the middle of change? This season of transition has brought me community, peace, freedom, confidence, and support in ways I couldn't have planned. From friends stepping in to carry forward Santa Fe Hive, to the quiet liberation of letting go of almost everything we own, I'm discovering that life has a way of surprising us with beauty when we create space for it.One truth that keeps coming back to me is this: courage comes before confidence. Every step into the unknown requires courage first—and only then do we grow into new levels of confidence. This episode is an invitation to pause, notice, and honor the unexpected gifts unfolding in your own life. What blessings have surprised you lately?
What does it actually mean to speak your truth? Is it the same as speaking the truth? And how do you know when you've truly spoken yours? In this episode, I dive deep into these questions and share one of the most personal and powerful excerpts from my upcoming book VOICEPRINT. It's a raw story of losing - and reclaiming - my voice, and the life-changing lesson I learned about the difference between speaking with confidence and speaking your truth. ✨ Inside this episode: Why speaking your truth is not the same as “telling the truth” The messy, courageous reality of voicing what's real for you How silence, shame and gaslighting suppress your authentic voice The energetic shift that happens when you speak in alignment My personal story of rediscovering my voice after losing it in a toxic relationship If you've ever struggled with saying what's really on your heart - or feared being “too much” - this episode will remind you that your voice matters, your story matters, and your truth deserves to be heard.

Let's honor a friend and previous guest, Rachel Luna. Rachel encouraged women to stand in their truth, even when there's pressure from other people to stand down. Although she passed away recently, she was and continues to be a lighthouse for so many. In this replay, Rachel discusses the toughest moments she faced as an entrepreneur, why it's okay to offend others (and even judge them), her experiences with racism and cancel culture, and how to anchor your life and business in your values. Rachel lived unfiltered and unafraid, and she's deeply missed. In this episode, you will learn about: Having faith and respect for other people's beliefs (and their curiosity). The toughest moment she faced as an entrepreneur. How her priorities changed after her breast cancer diagnosis. How a shift in language can activate your unconscious programming. Rachel's neuroscience perspective on judgement and what it really means. Why you have permission to be offensive and how to use it for good. How to make better decisions in your personal life and your business. What it means to be a wild woman: Freedom to be—whatever that means to you. What a ripper of a chat with the absolute powerhouse that is Kath Essing. We met recently and within minutes I knew I had to get her on the show. Kath is real, warm, hilarious, and brave as hell. She’s just released her second book The Courage to Speak Your Truth, and in this convo, she opens up about what it took to get there. Remembering childhood trauma in her 20s, navigating the healing process (which she calls a total sh*t show), reporting her abuse, confronting her abuser, and working through it all to help others do the same. We talked healing, sport, therapy (all of them), inner child work, punching pillows (or not), the joy of being fully honest, and how bloody hard but important it is to speak your truth. This one’s deep but somehow also full of laughs, swear words, and goosebumps. If you’ve ever felt like you’re the only one carrying some heavy stuff... this ep is for you. How do you speak your truth? How do you do so in a way that is heartfelt and vulnerable? How do you let yourself be seen for who you truly are?It requires facing the fears and beliefs that have stopped you. Until now, that is. :)Tune into this week's Soul Sovereignty & Sexuality Podcast to learn How to Speak your Truth - especially the energetic and emotional shifts it requires. The online Sacred Body Wisdom Series contains three practices that not only open your throat chakra, but that open a direct channel between your womb and throat, as well as your heart and throat. These channels often get “clogged” when old traumas, karmas, and emotions are suppressed. The more you clear them (through repeated listening), the easier it is to speak your truth from your heart (without blame, attack, criticism, or anger).Access the Sacred Body Wisdom Series here: https://thepathtosovereignty.com/sacred-body-wisdom-foundational-series/If you are anywhere near Salem, Massachusetts, I will be doing my next in-person Sacred Body Wisdom Workshop there on Sunday, August 10 from 5 - 7 p.m.You can also join me in Medina, Ohio on August 24, Asheville, NC on September 6, and Abingdon, Virginia on September 7. She guides you to embody your power, reclaim your sovereignty, and experience true freedom through retreats, workshops, and online portals of transformation. After leaving the legal profession in 2013 to embark on a spiritual pilgrimage, Jessica experienced an 8-year initiation into divine feminine power. During this time, she spent years researching religious history, ancient civilizations, and mythology. She has identified the core beliefs – deeply embedded in the individual and collective psyche – that keep us from owning our power, speaking our truth, and liberating our sexuality.Subscribe to the Soul Sovereignty & Sexuality Podcast on your favorite platform so you don't miss an episode! While the astrology sky is light on transits this weekend, there's still magic in the air. Mercury in Leo forms a playful sextile with Venus in Gemini, fostering creative communication and heart-centered connection. Meanwhile, the Human Design week kicks off on Saturday with the Sun entering Gate 56 – Expansion, the Gate of the Storyteller, and the Earth grounding us in Gate 60 – Conservation. In today's show, we'll explore how to harness these energies to speak your truth, express your unique journey, and balance adventure with stability. It's a perfect time to ask: What story are you here to share?
We're in that weird in-between. Just like Bambi learning to walk, we too are finding our legs as we walk out of the ashes that was our old identity. As we move forward, Rachel asks just one question, “What is it that you REALLY want to say?”. This time may feel messy, imperfect, and you may even be surprised by how comfortable you are with this new experience, or perhaps you're completely mortified by your new. No matter how you're feeling, remember this: let it exist first and let it be better later. You got this. Love you, mean it! SUPPORT THIS PODCAST AND LEAVE A REVIEW! Back in May, Chris Griffins lost $30k in brand deals, in just four days, because of a reel he uploaded weeks earlier. The video? A statement about money, providership, and what he believes a man's role is in a relationship. Watch it here. It was picked up by a major Australian podcaster, stitched and shared, and suddenly… the country turned on him. Thousands of hate messages. News articles. Debates on The Project. And yet, Chris says it was the calmest he's ever felt. So why did I bring him on the podcast? Because women in my world are tired. We've built the businesses. Been the providers… and we're proud of it. But so many of us are quietly asking: “Do I still want to be the one carrying it all?” This episode isn't about picking sides in an online debate. It's about what happens when someone speaks a hard truth out loud and what it takes to stay in your integrity - even when people don't like it. In this raw and completely unfiltered conversation, we dive into: How to stay grounded and clear when the internet is tearing you apart The pattern Chris saw in EVERY message he received about the reel (and what he noticed about the women who reacted most strongly) What real safety in a relationship looks like, for BOTH partners Why being neutral or “nice” online might be keeping you invisible… and what to do if you actually want people to care The unexpected reason high achievers struggle to hold onto wealth How Chris reframes “losing everything” as the best thing that ever happened And the mindset that has helped Chris become completely unshakeable. Prefer YouTube? Watch here. I get SO lit up by every single conversation I have with my community.

With so many blazing fires in the world and the constant upheaval in our daily lives, it's easy to get overwhelmed by what we think needs to get done. What protest do I go to? Do I sit and meditate to help the collective frequency? Do I do both? How? What if nothing I do actually affects any kind of change? But the real question is: how can we focus on what feeds and nourishes us? Yes, we must continue to fight for collective liberation. And yes, we have to tend to the daily responsibilities of caring for ourselves and our families, but can we do them in ways that allow us to feel fed by them? Can we reframe washing dishes into a kind of meditation, for example? When it comes to being a human in the world, are we choosing actions that help to create the life that we envision for ourselves? Or are we doing things out of obligation, things that feel like we *should* do? These are questions I'm asking all of us in this week's episode. Hello and welcome to the show! What we're going to do is a meditation. I'm getting a lot of energy around the throat chakra. This is a blue color, and it relates to self-expression—being able to speak, say your mind, and express your truth. A lot of people who have healing gifts were told to be quiet when they were young or had a mom who said, "Children should be seen and not heard." In a fascinating way, I have friends who are Indian, Chinese, American, Irish, and from many parts of the world, including Mexico. So much of the planet has a patriarchal approach where women traditionally weren't encouraged to be heard. The problem with that is if we don't say our truth and express ourselves, it's hard to evolve as human beings on the planet. So we're going to do a quick guided meditation. We'll go through the normal process and then do some extra blue chakra work—beautiful energy around self-expression. I'm so happy to bring this to you today! My name is Erica, and I have a new website, Energy Clearing for Life. It's going to feature my meditations, and you'll be able to buy things—it'll be super fun! It's being built for me right now as we speak. Let's begin by pulling blue energy up through the balls of our feet. Imagine going down to the center of the earth and pulling blue energy up through your feet. Nice. Now, bring that blue energy up through your knees. Sit with your spine straight if you can. It's a good idea to close your eyes if you're able. That was releasing some energy right there. See that blue energy coming up through the balls of your feet and through your knees. Now, focus on your sit bones, the base of your butt, and your sacral area. Run some red energy in little circles through that space. Ask yourself, “Can I clear anything blocking my base chakra?” Just set the intention: Let's clear anything out that isn't serving me right now. Very nice. Now, move to the second chakra, just below the belly button. This operates at an orange frequency. Let's roll some orange energy through that part of the body. Many people carry trauma from past lifetimes, current lifetimes, or abusive relationships. That area can hold a lot, so go ahead and clear it with a beautiful wave of orange energy. Next, let's move to the solar plexus, which operates at a yellow color. Imagine rolling yellow energy through it. I once had a galactic astrologer tell me I have a lot of yellow in my field, which I thought was pretty cool! Yellow and turquoise are my two colors. So let's roll yellow right through your solar plexus. Now, place your hand on your heart. Thank yourself for all that you do, all that you are, and for being here on the planet at this time. Just honor the fact that you chose to be here during a time of massive change. So much is shifting so quickly—AI is doing a lot of things (though it's definitely not recording my podcast for me yet!). Now, let's move up to the third eye. Focus on that spot between your eyebrows and run some violet energy through it. Then, right above the top of your head, picture white energy flowing through your crown chakra. Let's go back to the throat chakra now. Take a deep breath. Thank you, throat chakra. Thank yourself for speaking your truth. Thank yourself for journaling—if you do. Maybe you record things, even if they never see the light of day. Thank your throat chakra for allowing you to express your higher truth. Roll some blue energy through it and feel it expand. Now, imagine yourself feeling completely free in your self-expression. See what it feels like to be fully in your body—whether you're at an event, on the phone, or with family. What does it feel like to be completely comfortable saying what you want, without fear, shame, or the pressure to be perfect? Let's release that. Give yourself permission to say silly things. Give yourself permission to be the "tall poppy"—to shine, stand out, and be seen. Now, reach up to the heavens. One of my favorite meditations is inspired by another woman named Erica. She says, Reach up to a star in heaven—it's your own star. Say hello to it, and bring that energy down into your body. See your throat chakra being completely unplugged and free. If you've had an idea for a book, podcast, video, or YouTube channel, imagine it unfolding. Picture yourself speaking, sharing, allowing, and being fully YOU. If you've ever felt different from your family, you're not alone. I was so different from mine—my brother once told me, after living with me for a summer, that he understood me even less! If your blood family never truly "got" you, release the shame and self-doubt that comes from seeking their approval. Some people may never validate you in the way you hope—but that's okay. You are enough. Now, bathe yourself in golden light from head to toe. Let's go beyond the seven chakras to the 7 to 15 etheric chakras outside your body. Reach up to the heavens and ask for white light to flow through you. Let it clear away anything that's not in your highest good. Thank you so much for sharing this meditation with me! I look forward to many more. Pretty soon, you'll be able to visit my website—I can't wait to share more with you. Speak Your Truth: The Battle Begins Are you listening -----------------------------------------------GET your self care kit ✨ **One love & Happy Moon!**
"Before you speak, ask yourself: “Is it honest? Is it kind? Is it necessary? Is it the right time? Does it improve the silence?” - Sathya Sai BabaToday, Erin and Sasha explore the 5th Chakra of speech, poetically named Vishuddha, meaning “purification of poison.” Vishuddha Chakra represents the Ether element, and the ability to turn poison into nectar - the process of purification. It is located in the throat, and is the seat of the power of the word. It brings Prana to the respiratory system. “The more silence behind your word, the greater the impact.” You may find, upon personal practice, that the simple elegance of Silence can be prescribed to most internal challenges. This chakra represents the quality of honest communication, turning ignorance into awareness, transmutation, choice, alchemy, infinity, receptivity, sensitivity, self-expression, “finding one's voice,” the ability to speak from the heart, and the ability to listen from the heart. Used properly, Vishuddha makes our words nectar, not poison. All poison becomes nectar when Vishuddha is strong and stable, developed and activated. Our words create reality, and since they originate from thought, our thoughts create our reality. Therefore, words are not only descriptive, but creative. When Vishuddha is activated, everywhere you go, becomes better as a result of you being there. If too much noise is there, too much talking or too much thinking, Vishuddha cannot be stabilized, because the element it represents is Ether (spaciousness, emptiness). The bija mantra for Vishuddha is “Hum,” which means “I am.” Because on a micro-level, we are God: the creator, preserver, and destroyer. Which brings me to the story of Samudra Manthan, the churning of the ocean. Once upon a time, the devas (gods) and asuras (demons) were on a quest to retrieve Amrita, the sacred nectar of immortality. In doing so, they had to churn the ocean using Mount Mandara as the churning rod, and Vasuki (the serpent King) as their rope. As they churned in what appears to be the original tug of war, Divine gifts emerged, like Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, and the celestial cow Kamadhenu. However, before the Amrita appeared, a deadly poison called Halahala surfaced, threatening to destroy all of existence. Terrified, the devas and asuras turned to Lord Shiva for help, and in an act of supreme selflessness, he took the poison to his mouth to prevent it from harming creation. But instead of swallowing it or spitting it out, he held it in his throat, where it turned his skin blue, earning him the name of Neelkantha (the Blue throated one). This moment of holding and transforming toxicity without allowing it to spread, is the symbolic origin of the Vishuddha Chakra. Just as Lord Shiva purified the deadly poison without letting it harm him, Vishuddha governs the purification of thought, word, and energy. Shiva's restraint symbolizes conscious speech, wisdom, and the power of truth. The throat chakra teaches that life contains both poison (negativity, challenges) and nectar (divine wisdom). It is our ability to process, hold, and transmute energy that determines our spiritual growth. This chakra represents self-mastery, communication, and purification. Like Shiva, we must learn to hold challenges with grace, not letting toxicity consume us but instead transforming it into wisdom. When our Vishuddha Chakra is balanced, we speak with clarity, authenticity, and purpose, just as Shiva's act saved creation. Welcome to the SpeakUPZee Podcast, the show designed to motivate, inspire, and push you to become the best version of yourself! In this episode, titled “Finding the Courage to Speak Your Truth,” we're diving into the power of standing in your truth—no matter how uncomfortable it may be. Too many people silence themselves out of fear of judgment, rejection, or misunderstanding. But real growth starts when you find the courage to express yourself fully and unapologetically.
“Learn from the L's and the wins in life—it's not a one-sided coin.” In this episode, Nick speaks with Mark Ross, a Marine Corps veteran and host of the Speak Your Truth podcast. Mark shares his journey through mental health struggles, including PTSD, suicidal thoughts, and the impact of his military experience. What to listen for: The journey of self-discovery through counseling. The challenges of wearing a mask in society. Encouragement for veterans to seek help and compensation for their struggles. Understanding the importance of learning from both successes and failures. Self-mastery involves continuous growth and self-acceptance. “Sometimes going through hell creates a better, more authentic version of yourself.” Tough times often force us to reflect and strip away what's not serving us, revealing our truest selves. The struggles we face can help us align more with who we truly are rather than who we think we should be. Difficult experiences can teach resilience, self-awareness, and clarity about our values. Emerging from hardship can feel like a transformation—like becoming a "new" you with deeper understanding and strength. Recognizing the beauty in how hardship shapes us allows us to embrace the authenticity that comes from those experiences. “The most courageous thing we can do is keep moving, even when it sucks.” Taking steps forward, no matter how small, builds strength and helps us persevere through tough times. Even if progress feels slow, it's better than standing still—motion itself creates possibilities. Acknowledging that something is hard while still moving forward is a form of bravery in itself. Every time you keep going, you're proving to yourself that you can handle more than you thought possible. About Mark Ross Mark is a Marine Corps veteran and mental health advocate who suffers from PTSD. He is also the creator of The Speak Your Truth with Mark Ross Podcast. His goal is to spread awareness of how mental health affects people and their families. Wellness + Wisdom | Episode 698 How does the pro-blame bias influence our thinking and judgment? Cory Clark, Behavioral Scientist, joins Josh Trent on the Wellness + Wisdom Podcast, episode 698, to unpack why we shouldn't fully trust science, how victim mentality creates a dysfunctional dynamic, the dangers of social media-fueled tribalism, and how self-awareness, courage, and meaningful conflict can transform the way we create an honest connection with others in today's world. "When you have people who identify strongly with a political in-group on the left or right, they start to become very afraid of contradicting beliefs that are strongly held by their in-group based on the fear of being ostracized. Our brains evolved to be averse, trying to avoid anything that could get us ostracized from our social group. So we're giving so much power to the extremists within our own group when most of the time, they're not the people to be listening to." - Cory Clark
