I want to let you in on something that hit me hard recently: If you're “playing it cool” in life, chances are… you're actually just playing yourself. In this solo episode, I'm breaking down a moment that made me reflect deeply — a missed opportunity on a Brooklyn street that left me with instant regret. I'm sharing it because I know I'm not the only one who's ever let fear get dressed up in confidence. We convince ourselves we're being smooth. That we're in control. But deep down, we're just scared — scared of looking dumb, getting rejected, or not living up to the version of ourselves we're trying to project. I dive into: Why “playing it cool” is costing you the life you want What fear looks like when it's wearing designer clothing The hard truth about opportunities: they don't wait for you to be ready Why it's better to live with a “no” than a “never know” How to start acting like the version of yourself you're trying to become If you've been sitting on an idea, holding back your voice, or missing shots you know you were meant to take — this one's for you. Let them see you try. Let God see you try. You're not here to play it cool — you're here to play it real.

In this deeply personal and heart-centered episode, Karen McMahon sits down with her longtime friend and pastor, Ray Longward, Lead Pastor at Experience Vineyard Church, for an open and vulnerable conversation about faith, healing, and leadership in life's hardest seasons. For the first time publicly, Karen shares the central role her Christian faith has played in her personal life and in founding Journey Beyond Divorce—“coming out” not just as a divorce coach and podcast host, but as a follower of Christ. Together, they explore the critical role of a spiritual foundation during major life crises such as divorce, loss, and personal transformation. They discuss shifting from religion to authentic relationship with God, the healing nature of a welcoming and emotionally intelligent church, and the courage it takes to live authentically in a divided world. Pastor Ray brings over a decade of ministry experience, leading a Bible-rooted community known for radical welcome, emotional intelligence, and a deep commitment to the wounded and marginalized. Whether you're spiritual, skeptical, or somewhere in between, this heartfelt dialogue offers hope, wisdom, and practical encouragement for navigating life's darkest moments with grace, faith, and courage. In this episode of the HappyCast, Stephanie and Andrew sit down with ultrarunner Rachel Millman, whose race résumé spans mud-soaked DNFs, monster climbs, and fearless returns to the start line. Rachel takes us inside her recent finish at the Ouray 100, a beast of a race boasting over 40,000 feet of elevation gain, where she crossed the line just 23 minutes before the final cutoff. From navigating steep, loose terrain to staying upright during nighttime descents, she shares how grit—and a little stubbornness—got her to the finish. But this conversation isn't just about one race. Rachel opens up about the string of tough outcomes that came before Ouray, including storm-battered miles at Viper 200, a grueling DNF at Cocodona 250, and the blister battles that have been her biggest nemesis. Her honesty about the mental lows, self-doubt, and problem-solving in the middle of a race paints a real, unfiltered picture of what it takes to keep showing up for the toughest challenges. We also dig into Rachel's approach to training in Phoenix, her attraction to big-vert events, and what's on deck next—hint: Moab 240 and Javelina 100 are coming up fast. Whether you're here for the stories about running waist-deep through floodwater, chasing cutoffs in the mountains, or simply finding joy in pushing limits, this episode is a reminder that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is sign up, show up, and keep moving forward.Be sure to subscribe to the podcast wherever you listen, and we always appreciate you leaving a good rate and review. The past 8 months of my life have brought some of the hardest challenges I've had to face. Going through a divorce. Carrying the weight of a major launch just to keep things going… the business, the bills, all of it. And the loss of clarity about what I even want anymore. When I've shared about this with peers like James Wedmore and in my mastermind group, I've realized I'm not alone. So many of us are navigating massive shifts in business, relationships, health, identity and live itself. And when the clarity goes, it's easy to feel stuck or even burnt out. But through it all, there are three powerful lessons that keep me grounded. I shared these lessons on social and people loved it. Now, I'm going even more in depth on each one on the podcast. Listen in and learn how to know it's time to restructure your business, why insecurities can become your superpower, a mind blowing lesson for me that transformed how I see my work, and how to stay out of self-pity and in your power especially when times get tough. If you're a high achiever, creative, or entrepreneur who feels burnt out, stuck, or unsure of what's next, you'll love this episode. Because when you grow your awareness in positive ways, your business will grow in the same direction as well! Did you enjoy this episode? Today I'm talking about the easiest and hardest situations to win in. Life is a performance-based game, and as professionals, we're expected to show up and get the job done. But not every situation gives us the same odds of success. In this episode, I break it down into three main types of situations: some set you up to win easily, while others make it a lot harder. Once you understand how to spot them, you can adjust your approach and boost your chances of winning. Show Notes: [01:20]#1 The impossible one is when you have no game, you can't win. [09:37]#2 Easiest way to win is when you're really good, but nobody knows who you are because there are no expectations. [22:37]#3 The hardest way is when you're really good and everyone not only knows you, but they expect you to win. [28:02]Recap Next Steps: Power Presence Protocol

This is a special joint Q&A episode with my brilliant friend Victoria from The Body Love Binge, where we answer real recovery questions from our communities. We're covering so much in this conversation — from getting your period back, to setting boundaries with family, understanding set point theory, challenging intuitive eating rules, and what recovery fatigue really means. If you've ever wondered whether you're doing recovery “right”, feared that eating without hunger will mean endless weight gain, or just needed to hear two people who've been through it talk honestly — this one's for you.⏱️ Listener Questions & Timestamps:[03:01] “What can I do to get my period back?”Georgia asked about restoring her period after 10 years. I share why rest, nervous system regulation and patience are key, and how you don't need to force-feed yourself — your body already knows how to heal.[10:30] “How do I deal with body comments or judgments from my elderly parents?”We talk about the emotional impact of family comments, how to set boundaries with consequences, and why healing the inner child matters so much in these moments.[19:34] “Is intuitive eating secretly diet culture? Why does it feel so contradictory?”We unpack the truth about intuitive eating — how it can become another rulebook, and why real food freedom means trusting yourself, not following guidelines.[28:46] “Will I keep gaining weight if I eat when I'm not hungry?”I share my own experience with set point theory, why trying to stay at the low end of your ‘range' backfires, and how eating freely will always stabilise when you're truly at peace with food.[37:10] “Why are some people in very large bodies? Doesn't that mean they eat too much?”This one gets to the heart of weight stigma. We talk about trauma, shame, emotional coping, bingeing vs restriction, and why body size isn't a simple equation of input and output.[46:30] “Why am I so exhausted now that I'm finally eating?”I've lived this one — the deep, bone-tired fatigue that hits when the eating disorder lets go. I explain why it's part of recovery, what's happening in the body, and why it's not something to fight against.[51:15] “Can binge eating become a bad habit after recovery?”Victoria answers beautifully here — the difference between bingeing and emotional eating, how habits aren't bad unless shame is involved, and why full permission is what leads to true choice.[59:01] “What challenges do you still face in life after recovery?”We both open up about the things we're navigating now — from motherhood and visibility to self-expression and the ongoing journey of growth beyond recovery. If you're looking for real support from people who've been there and truly get it, The Eating Disorder Recovery Circle is here for you. It's a unique community of people at all stages of recovery, supporting each other through the mess, the milestones, and everything in between.Inside, you'll find:Monthly coaching calls with opportunities for 1:1 supportThe Feelings Navigator to guide you through tough emotionsLive workshops and expert-led coursesDozens of how-to recovery guides (like how to eat at a buffet or go to a restaurant without fear)On-demand recovery resources, including Overcoming the Fear of Weight Gain

When the Climb Gets Quiet: How to Push Through Doubt and Hard Seasons Let's be real—success isn't always loud. Sometimes, it's painfully quiet. And in this raw, soul-deep conversation with my brother Brendon Burchard, we talk about the side of growth most people don't want to admit: the seasons of doubt, fear, and feeling like you've lost your fire. This isn't about hype—it's about what to do when you've hit a wall and the old playbook doesn't work anymore. Brendon and I open up about the moments behind the scenes—the ones where you're showing up for others, delivering value, crushing goals... and still feeling empty inside. We talk about how to navigate those internal storms that show up without warning, and why so many high performers are secretly struggling with isolation, fatigue, and questioning their purpose. If you've ever felt like your soul was in a fog even while your life looks “successful” on the outside—this is for you. What hit me hard was when Brendon said, “The world rewards energy and service, but you can't give what you don't have.” We explore what it looks like to rebuild yourself from the inside out, how to regain clarity when your vision blurs, and how to keep walking even when you don't feel strong. There's a difference between being tired and being depleted—and that distinction can save your life. This episode is a reminder that growth isn't always glamorous. Sometimes, it looks like tears, silence, and crawling through the unknown. But there's beauty in that struggle, too. Because when you choose to keep moving, to keep showing up, to keep believing even when the evidence isn't there—that's when you're becoming something greater than you imagined. Does your current path feel overwhelming? Maybe even impossibly hard? In this powerful episode of The Leader's Cut, Preston Morrison reveals why embracing the tough stuff isn't just an option—it's often the direct route to profound transformation and an undeniable connection with God. Preston challenges the comforting lie that an easy road is always the right one. He uncovers the surprising reasons we run from the very challenges God calls us to, exposing our natural leanings toward shortcuts, and our innate fear of the unknown. Discover how preemptive fear can be a powerful, unseen force, designed to halt you before you even begin, and why choosing courage is an ongoing act of faith that rewrites your story. You'll gain a fresh perspective on why we must walk through difficult seasons. From shedding our "hard edges" to cultivating a deeper, more reliant partnership with God, Preston illustrates how these challenges are meticulously designed to shape you. Prepare to understand that God often calls us to do the impossible, not to test our limits, but so He can be the "how." This isn't just an episode about enduring hardship; it's an invitation to unlock the miracle hidden within your hardest "yes." Get ready to uncover your most powerful testimony, forged in the fires of obedience, and step into the person God created you to be!
Tune in, because this one? It's a gut-punch (in the best way).

DJ CLASH / HARDEST ALLIANCE #7 ON TOXIC SICKNESS / JULY / 2025 by TOXIC SICKNESS OFFICIAL
In this special episode of the Membership Geeks Podcast, I open up about the toughest moments and biggest challenges I've faced over a decade of running a membership business. As we kick off a month of anniversary content, I dive deep into pivotal decisions, unexpected setbacks, and the realities that most membership owners rarely talk about publicly. Whether you're just starting out or have been running your own membership for years, my honest reflections are here to shed light on what it really takes to keep going—especially when things get tough. In this episode:What were the most difficult decisions I had to make in the early days of launching and shifting my business model? How did I handle sudden competition from a well-funded, well-connected industry player—and what impact did it have on my mindset and business? In what ways did external crises like COVID-19 test my resilience and force me to adapt my membership offer and team structure? What was it like to experience internal challenges, such as letting my first team member go and navigating the unexpected departure of a cofounder—and how did these affect my business moving forward?Key Quotes & Takeaways:"If you've been listening to us for a while, you'll know that I never shy away from the uglier side of the membership world of business, and I always give it to you straight.""We couldn't compete with the black book, the huge financial backing, and the fact that they could incentivize others to portray them as this ever knowing, all knowing guru, and fast track them to their place in the industry by paying them a thousand dollars for every customer that they referred.""A lot of people kind of revealed what their true motivation was. And I've got to be honest, that that made me a lot more cynical about the online business world and the kind of people who were influential within it""You can never go wrong just refocusing on your people. Right? Refocusing on your members. Why you're doing it for them? What they need from you? How you can best serve them?"Thank You For ListeningWe really appreciate you choosing to listen to us and for supporting the podcast. Wabi Sabi - The Perfectly Imperfect Podcast with Candice Kumai
In this episode of Wabi Sabi, I open up about how we can stay grounded and strong while the world feels chaotic. Everywhere we turn right now—news, politics, social feeds—it feels heavy. But instead of waiting for the world to get better, I've learned we have to work on our inner world first. I take you through the lessons of kintsugi, the Japanese art of golden repair, and how those same principles can help us rebuild from the inside out. I share why I stopped waiting for someone to “save me,” how I started to see my own worth, and why self‑compassion is one of the most powerful tools we have. You'll hear real strategies for catching negative self‑talk in the moment, shifting it toward forgiveness and love, and refocusing your energy on what you can control. If you've been feeling overwhelmed or stuck, this episode is a reminder that the cracks in your life aren't flaws—they're where your gold goes.
