Today's episode dives into the self reflection tools we can use as students to help deal with the stress we face during our undergraduate degree. Scarlett covers what causes us stress, how we deal with stress in our lives, what actions we take to improve these situations and notice how it negatively impacts our health. Along with diving into the challenges faced during our studies, manging conflict in the workplace, connecting with likeminded individuals and the importance of finding our tribe. Ending with the simple yet effective ways we feel included and seen in the healthcare environment. WELCOME BACK! In today's episode we are joined by Colleen Kelly. Colleen is a Yamaji woman of Mid-West Western Australia. She is a registered nurse with post graduate and masters qualification in emergency nursing, education Indigenous health and Indigenous leadership. Colleen is a Lecturer in the Gukwonderuk Indigenous unit of Monash University, Melbourne and current PhD student. She is currently working in the area of teaching, learning and construction of Indigenous health curriculum. Colleen is particularly interested in influencing the health system to improve Indigenous health equity. Her aim is to help educate health care graduates who are able to work in partnership with Indigenous Australians to ensure the best possible health outcomes. Colleen also serves on the board of First Peoples Health and Wellbeing - a dynamic Aboriginal community controlled health service aiming to improve access to affordable primary health care in urban Melbourne.
