Phil Mickelson is one of the greatest golfers of all time. Fact, not opinion. His win this past Sunday at the PGA Championship was full of great sports moments. Thousands of fans flooded the fairway behind Mickelson and marched lock step with him to the 18th green to witness golf history. Mickelson's win at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, South Carolina makes him, at 50, to be the oldest golfer to win a major on the PGA Tour. There was some drama however. Collin Morikawa played his consistent, skilled game to beat the field at the WGC Workaday Championship this past weekend. The final round also featured a show of respect to Tiger Woods by many players who donned red and black clothes for their final round just like Woods does. Tiger Woods continues to recover from a serious car accident a little over a week ago. Chris gives a recap from his recent trip to South Florida. Tiger Woods was involved in a serious car accident in Los Angeles California. His injuries, while not life threatening, will likely end Tiger’s PGA Tour career. PGA Tour Professional Justin Thomas let his frustrations get the better of him after missing a putt. The gay slur was captured by the NBC microphones. Thomas, the formerly the world’s number one ranked golf professional apologized soon after the round at The Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii. “There’s absolutely no reason for me to say anything like that” he told the New York Post. He continued, “It’s terrible. I’m extremely embarrassed. It’s not who I am.” Chris and Ben offer their two cents in this episode of everyone’s favorite golf podcast.

The PNC Father Son Challenge was exactly what golf fans needed as most have had to put their clubs away for the winter. We got to see our favorite PGA Tour Pros team up with their sons and dads for an outstanding weekend of golf memories. Justin Thomas and his Dad prevailed to win the championship but that was just a small part of the story. After months of hype we got to see Tiger Woods and his eleven year old son Charlie Woods play together. The wait was well worth it! But is all the media attention good for an eleven year old? A.L. Kim won the U.S. Women’s Open on December 14, 2020 at the Cypress Creek Golf Club in Cypress Village Blvdruskin Florida. The win capped off an exciting weekend of women’s golf.
