A caller thinks Gio decided to talk about game 7 of the NBA Finals because he didn't want to talk about how terrible his Mets have been. A guy named Matt called in. He came in third place at Fanatics-Fest, but the first amateur person, and he won some cash.
After phone service resumed, callers discussed Boomer's accurate Tyrese Haliburton injury prediction and Gio's avoidance of the Mets' struggles. Fanatics-Fest amateur winner Matt called in. Peter Schwartz provided an update, addressing his son's "portal" status and a caller's "bag of problems" comment. He covered the Thunder's NBA Championship win, mixed reactions to Kristin Chenoweth's anthem, and the Yankees' victory over the Orioles with Jazz Chisholm's help. The segment ended with a comparison of Peter to Mr. Met and a discussion of the old Yankees mascot, "Dandy," plus a question about the Mets' slump-busting.
Boomer's predictions came true: Francisco Alvarez was sent down, and Tyrese Haliburton's calf injury became a season-ending Achilles injury. Kevin Durant was traded to the Rockets, finding out live at FanaticsFest. Peter Schwartz, filling in for Jerry, provided his first update, covering the Thunder's NBA Championship, Haliburton's injury, and KD's trade reaction. The Mets lost to the Phillies, falling out of first place, while the Yankees beat the Orioles thanks to Jazz Chisholm. Tom Brady won the Fanatics Games, distributing cash to fans. The hour ended with Keegan Bradley's Travelers Championship win.

Scottie Scheffler noted that fans sometimes want carnage in golf but they don't in other sports. Golf courses all being so different makes the sport unique. A kindergartener drew Boomer and Gio and his mom did not know what caused him to draw them.
Adam Schefter is getting into golf. Gio looks back on his golf game before he really picked up the sport. Gio agrees with a caller that fans have to let go of comparisons when judging prospects and current players. Gio also explains that teams do it to sell tickets to minor league games. A caller uses the same barber as Adam Schefter and says Schefter is always on his phone. Gio thinks everyone around Schefter is probably looking for information.
Gio lamented how quickly jokes spread and become stale, referencing a Shedeur Sanders joke. Gio voted for King of NY Sports for Evan & Tiki, while Boomer did not. Adam Schefter is getting into golf; Gio reflected on his own golf game. Gio agreed with a caller about letting go of comparisons in sports, noting teams use them to sell tickets. A caller shared Schefter is always on his phone, leading Gio to believe people seek info from him. CLo updated after Joey from Yonkers revealed the Yankees and Mets last had simultaneous 5-game losing streaks in August 1996. The Yankees lost their sixth straight (Cody Bellinger's HR wasn't enough), and the Mets their fifth. Both aim to avoid a second consecutive sweep. Scottie Scheffler noted fans want golf "carnage" but not in other sports; varied courses make golf unique. A kindergartener drew Boomer and Gio. Finally, Boomer and Gio congratulated Ann Liguori on her Gracie Award for "Talking Golf with Ann Liguori" on WFAN. The segment ended with a note about parking difficulties.
Hour 1 The Yankees and Mets both lost again but Gio is trying to stay positive. What can the teams do about Anthony Volpe and Francisco Alvarez? CLo plays the lowlight of the Volpe error from the Yankees loss and then moves to the Mets getting shutout in Atlanta. Boomer thinks Thursday will be “explosion day” for the Yankees offense. Finally, a song from Boomer's youth is popular on TikTok and Gio has a question for Eddie about dogs. Hour 2 The Lakers are being sold for $10 billion. Would Dolan or the Steinbrenners consider selling? Gio says fans, not the Yankees, are responsible for overhyping Anthony Volpe. The Yankees and Mets had another night of bad losses and their division leads are shrinking. The hour ended with a debunked Hulk Hogan report, Shedeur Sanders getting pulled over for speeding and more Anthony Volpe calls. Hour 3 Boomer and Gio are asked about the King of NY. Adam Schefter is getting into golf. We have an answer on the last time both the Yankees and Mets had losing streaks this long at the same time. CLo has all of the lowlights and postgame reaction from another night of losing New York baseball. Scottie Scheffler says golf fans root for carnage. Boomer and Gio congratulate Ann Liguori. Hour 4 Atlanta is still a house of horrors for the Mets and Gio believes he has a good relationship with Carlos Mendoza, who could be at Fanatics Fest on Saturday. Tommy DeVito and Jaxson Dart watch Love Island together. Can women parallel park and is Evan a classic Muppet?
