Niggun Havayah is a journey of the soul wrestling with uncertianly and awakening to the Divine saftey, love, presence and comfort that is Havayah, this moment. Hayayah is all of us: our deepest selves, our innermost light and our innermost reservoir of healing and wholeness. As the mind slips into "hayah", the past of what was and "Yiheyeh" the future of what will be, we gently remind the mind to withdraw from the center to allow the soul's timeless light of present moment awakening and wholeness to permeate our being. In doing so, we land in Havayah. Here, and only here, do we encounter our innermost selves & innermost light.

For more on the Vision movement visit our magazine here: visionmag.org/ להיות יונק מזיו האלהות, במובנה הטהור העליון, שרוממות מעלתה היא הענוה של "תכלית הידיעה שלא נדע", ועם כל זה, למרות מה שידיעה זו היא שלילית, תהיה הנשמה מלאה ומתמלאת תמיד בכל עת ועונה ציורים אלהיים חדשים, מעדנים ומרוממים, - לזה דרוש שיהיו כל חוגי ההרגשות והמחשבות מתאימים אל היניקה של החמדה והעריגה האלהית. ולזה אין די במעשים הפרטיים שיהיו רצויים, ומשוקלים בשקל של מוסר מאיר ומתוקן, כ"א גם שהרגשות הפנימיות, המתרוצצות מאיליהן בתוך הנשמה, יהיו מבונים על בסיס האור והשלימות. ודבר זה אי אפשר כ"א כשתהי' ג"כ האומה, שממנה היחיד בא, כולה מיוסדת ברוחניותה על הטוב והאור האלהי, שאז מתאימות הרגשות הבאות לאדם מצד לאומיותו אל האור הטהור של המוסר היחידי העליון. אבל אם האומה היא רשעה בתכונתה, אי אפשר שהיחיד היוצא ממנה יהיה כולו בר וטהור, כי הרגשות הלאומיות מוכרחות להטיל בו את זוהמתן. להדריך נפשות, שהן מלאות זוהמא ונטיות רשעיות, אי אפשר באור הזיו האלהי כי אם ע"י עילום גדול, וכל שהרשעה יותר שלטת כך העילום צריך להיות יותר מעובה. הירידה שלנו מפני החטא גרמה גם בנו עביבות גדולה, שהשלילה הבאה בעקבתא דמשיחא, ועמה החוצפה, היא מכוונת מצד תכסיס ההנהגה העליון לטהר את המשך הזיו העליון מכל סיג של ציורים חיוביים בתוך העצמיות האלהית העליונה, אבל בתוכיות תכונתנו נמצאת היכולת לחיות באור ד' הבהיר, ולהמשיך על ידו הדרכות כוללות ופרטיות, ע"י הלבשות יפות שאינן פוגמות את האור כ"א מתקנות אותו למראה עינים. אבל בעולם כולו, במובן האומות שבתוכו, אין גם אומה אחת המוכשרת לזה. ע"כ מוכרח הערפל לכסות לאומים. רק כשנהיה מה שאנו צריכים להיות, תשוב להאנושיות הסגולה העליונה, שהתמצית שלה תהיה מסוגלה לאור הרוחני הגנוז בתכונתה, וממילא תתרומם כולה ובגאון תכיר את האושר שלה, במה שזכתה שהחלק היותר מוכשר שבה יהיה ממולא באור האלהי הזך, וע"י השפעתן תדע בכללותה איך להתרומם לפי מדתה.

For more on the Vision movement: visionmag.org/ כל דעה כוזבת, המהרסת את העולם, נובעת ע"פ רוב ממקור החפץ להתעלות בלא גבול ובלא הכנות הנאותות, שזה גורם לנפילה והשתברות. עבודה זרה חפצה להתקרב אל האלהות בחושים, וירדה לשפלותה. כי רצתה לעלות למקום שאי אפשר לעלות, ולא קנתה ההכנות הדרושות, שהן דרכי הדעה וההרגשה, המכשרת את האדם להיות מבקר בהיכל ד'. הנטיה מקו המקורי, ממקורם של ישראל, יש לה תמיד מעין עבודה זרה, דהיינו חפץ ופועל לצייר את האלהות בהכרה מוחלטת חיובית. רק גילוי האלהות שע"י מדת הענוה הגדולה של משה רבנו ע"ה למד לו, כי "לא יראני האדם וחי" ו"לא תוכל לראות את פני". זאת היא תכלית ההתעלות של הצורך האנושי אל דעת האלהים, שידע את חלק הידיעה ואת אי אפשרותה במילואה, שע"י כן תהיה תמיד ההתעלות שבה, ע"י החלקים המתגלים בהכשרת האדם, הכח הדוחף את התרבות היותר נשגבה. הנצרות חשבה, שהיא יודעת את האלהים. היא מדדה את הבלתי נמדד באמת המוסר האנושי, ע"פ אותה המדה שהיתה יכולה להשתער בימי התגלותה. ומן הדמיון שיש לה ידיעה, במה שאין לה ולכל נוצר כל מושג, והרגשה במה שאי אפשר להרגיש, התקרבה, בטבעה לאליליות, ונסתבכה במושגים אליליים כ"כ, עד שלא תוכל להנקות מהם כ"א ע"י שברון גמור בעצמותה, שיגרום ביטול צורתה והשבת חלקיה הטובים למקור שמשם לוקחו, שהוא אוצר התורה ואור ישראל. מה שהיא הנצרות ביחם אל החסד והמוסר, שהיא חשבה שהיא מבינה בהם את האלהות ומרגישתה, כן היא המושלמניות ביחס אל החכמה והגבורה, שהיא חושבת שהכירה בהם את העצמיות של האלהות, ועל זה בנתה את יסודה. אמנם חכמה וגבורה מחזיקות את המעמד בלב בצורה יותר אמיצה מחסד ואהבה, המרככים אותו ומביאים לנטות פנים לכל צד. על כן תוכל המושלמניות להחזיק יותר מעמד בריחוק מהאליליות, ולא תשא פנים להרגשת הלב, שע"י שיתוף של ציורים וסמלים ודעות חלושות תוכל למצא את הרוך שהיא חפצה. אבל בכל זה לא תוכל להחזיק מעמד קבוע, ואין בינה לבין האליליות חיץ הגיוני. כי האלהות המובנת והניכרת ע"פ מדה נבראת, כחכמה וגבורה. וכל מיני מעלות כאלה, ממה שהפה והלב של האדם המוגבל יכול לדבר ולחשוב, היא בעצמה תכונה של אליליות, מפני שקרותה והעדר מציאותה, ולעולם תנוצח מן הכפירה השוללת, שצדקה ממנה כשנעריך את שתיהן אל המושג האמיתי של האלהות. כי ההעדר והשלילה הם סוף כל סוף סוביקטיביים לאדם, ובזה הם אמת, שכל מה שהאדם משיג, משער ומשכיל, באופן חיובי, הכל הוא שלול ואפוס מאמתת האלהות, מפני שההגבלה והאפסיות הנן הדברים היותר מסמנים את כל המושגים האנושיים, ממה שתהי מוצצת בהן ההתעצמות של ההויה והישות, שהן במציאות הנבראים רק מפני הופעת האלהות עליה ולא מצד עצמה. ע"כ יסוד דעת אלהים העומדת לעד היא האלהות המתעלה על כל התבונה וההרגשה, והחתומה בתוך התבונה וההרגשה בחותם של הענוה, ושל אי אפשריות ההשגה. ודוקא מצד זה היא גדולה בפעולתה על החיים. היא מישרת אותם, מעלה אותם תמיד עדי עד, וכל החיים כולם, וכל התנועות החפשיות שבעולם הרוחני והחמרי, בעולם הפרטי והכללי, מוצאים דוקא בה את תפקידם. אמנם כדי להיות אומה שלמה יכולה להתפרנס במזון רוחני דק ונאצל כזה, בפנימיות נשמתה, צריך לזה הכשר גדול מאד, הכשר גזעי והכשר מוסרי והכשר הסתורי, וכל אלה נשלמו רק בכנסת ישראל. "אך עמי המה בנים לא ישקרו, ויהי להם למושיע"

Rav Kook in the 32nd piece in Orot Yisrael U’T’ḥiyato describes the inner scream and cry of the soul to be heard and redeemed by the individual and the Nation of Israel. הפלגים יבלי המים של החיים העליונים של הנשמה הטהורה, במעמקים הם זורמים, במעמקי הטבע הגופני ובתחתית הבשר והדם הנם הומים ורועשים, אמנם מתפרצים הם אל על, צועקים ובוכים, מתנודדים וקובלים, מתאמצים ומתפתלים הם באין הרף לעלות אל הרום, להגלות בצורה מאירה חיה חיים שלמים, מלאים זיו הוד ופאר הדרת גבורת קדשי קדשים. אשרי האיש, השומע את קול נשמתו מתוך מעמקיו, ואשרי העם המאזין את הד הקול של הנשמה הכללית שלו, איך היא מתגעשת מתוך מעמקיה, ואשרי המקשיב הטהור אשר יקשיב את בת הקול של כל היצור הקורא מתוך מעמקיו להתגלות בהירה עליונה, טהורה וקדושה, אורו של משיח נתון בכלאי היסורים של עמקי העמקים, ובעת קץ גאולה, בעת אשר רק קו אחד יגלה בתכונה של איזו זהרורית אורה להחיש ישועה כללית לבית ישראל, יגלו ויחשפו אלה הסמנים המורים על צעקת העומק, ומתוך כל התנועות הכלליות והפרטיות, הנפשיות והגופניות, יוקשב אותו הקול האדיר והחזק, "קול ברמה נשמע נהי בכי תמרורים רחל מבכה על בניה, מאנה להנחם על בניה כי איננו". והקול עולה ומתעלה בתכונות חיים ומעשה, בתכונות רעיון ומחשבה, בתכונות המון גוים ורוח עריצים, בתכונות נפשות כמהות, עורגות ומקוות, בתכונות חולמי חלומות כועסים ומתקצפים, בתכונות אנשי ישוב ומתינות, בונים ומשכללים, בתכונות אנשי קדש משקיפים ומקוים, פועלים וצופים ישועה וגאולה, ומכולם יעלו ויגלו זרמי אפיקי הנחלים של המעמקים, שכולם אומרים אותה התשועה המנחמת: "מנעי קולך מבכי ועיניך מדמעה, כי יש שכר לפעולתך, נאם ד', ושבו מארץ אויב, ויש תקוה לאחריתך, נאם ד', ושבו בנים לגבולם".

For more on the Vision movement: visionmag.org/ הרוח והמעשה מתאימים הם יחד בדרך יחושי. רוח מיוחד דורש להספקתו מעשים מיוחדים. אבל לעולם רחב וגדול הוא עולם הרוח מעולם המעשה, המעשים, כל כמה שאינם מורגשים לכל לב ואינם נתבעים מן הטבע בדרך ישרה, כבר הם צריכים לאידיאלים ולהשפעה קיבוצית, וההשפעה הקיבוצית היא נערכת לפי גדולת רוחה. התכונה האוניברסלית ממלאת לעולם את לב עדיני הרוח שבבני אדם. ע"כ ירגישו מחנק אם יסגירו אותם ברוחם רק בתוך חוג לאומם. אבל האומה שהאוניברסליות הגמורה טמונה בעומק נשמתה, "נדיבי עמים, עם אלהי אברהם", היא דודשת לעולם מעשים החוקקים יפה את טפוסה בקרבה פנימה, ועליהם חלים בשפע המון אידיאלים נאצלים אוניברסליים, שהכללתם עולה עד מרומי עד, עד מקום שהעין מתעששת שם והרוח המופשט המלא זוהר רק הוא מתנשא עד אותן הגבעות הרמות. צמצום מעשי והרחבה רוחנית יחדו הנם המטבע הראשי של צביון ישראל, עם לבדד ואור גויים יחד. השקיעה המוחלטת בשאלת השעה לא תוכל להתאים לרוחו, הטמיעה של רוחות מפלגתיות, שכל עניניהן הם מחיה וכלכלה חמרית וסיפוק אסתתי, רק כפי מה שהעין הקצרה, הכבושה בחומר בוער, מתנודד לכל תאוה ארעית, תוכל להתרומם אליו, מכשילה היא את כחו. ע"כ לא תדום כנסת ישראל מזמרתה הפנימית. בכחה הכללי תחבוק בקרבה את ההמון המפלגתי, תמתק את מרירותו, ותאגד האומה כולה עם כל דרישותיה. ומריח העדנים העליונים שלה ישובו החיים המפלגתיים גם הם להיות מוטבעים באותה הצורה החביבה, שיש בה טוב ונשגב, לא רק הכרח ומלחמת בשר, והצורה הכלכלית גם היא תתרומם ע"י הבטחון המוסרי, אשר יספיק לחדור בכל האומה, בצורה מתוקנת המלאה אמון של אחים, לא רק בביטויים ריקים כ"א בעצם מעמד הנפש והרצון הקבוע, המרכז את החיים ודרישותיהם. וחילוק המקצועות בעבודת המעשה ועבודת הרוח לא יוליד עוד דלות ומשטמה, כ"א עושר ואהבה מלאה חיים ותעצומות לעם.

"והסירותי דמיו מפיו ושיקוציו מבין שיניו, ונשאר גם הוא לאלהינו, והיה כאלוף ביהודה ועקרון כיבוסי".

In preparation for Yom Ha'atzmuat we learned a piece from Rav Kook (Mamraya Harayah, The Eulogy in Jerusalem) where Rav Kook, in his eulogy for Binyamin Ze'ev Herzl, the founder of political Zionism, discusses the difference between Maschiach Ben Yosef and Maschiach Ben David. We also learned a piece (Orot Yisrael, 6:6) that echoed a similar theme, how the force of Maschiach Ben Yosef must die and the force of Maschiach Ben David must reign.

Torah on Parshat Metzorah from the sefer Aish Kodesh, the Pieseczna Rebbe's collection of near weekly sermons to his holy flock from within the destruction of the Warsaw Ghetto, on Yom Hazikaron laShoah ve-laG'vurah, a day that celebrates the inner strength of the survivors and those who fought back against the Nazi destruction. The Rebbe discusses how concealed within destruction is Redemption, and one must try to believe that everything that happens is for the good. We also looked at 2 Torah teachings from Rebbe Nachman of Breslov who reiterated the Rebbe's messages regrading the limits of knowledge and the power of faith in G-d's goodness. (Sichot Haran 3; Likutie Moharan 4:1)

Shlomo Yitzchak and Eliyahu Yekutiel learn a piece in Orot where Rav Kook discusses the importance of the dissolution of the 12 tribes of Israel as a way to unite Am Yisroel under one consciousness, with the goal of tribal re-emergence in order to reawaken the full spectrum and color of the Jewish People. שכחת השבטים ליחוסם היא הכנה לאחדות האומה. על ידי הזכרון של חלוק השבטים היתה הגלות גורמת, שכל שבט יחולק ויפרד לגמרי מכללות האומה, וארס הנכריות היה חודר בחלקים המיוחדים והבדודים. אמנם ע"י השכחה הזאת של ההתפרטות נתרבה הבלבול והערבוב, לא רק התפלות המיוחדות וראויות לכל שבט שבט בפני עצמו בתקון העולם נתבלבלו, כי אם כל ערכי החיים, הפנימיים והחיצונים, כל צביוניהם של ההרגשות, הלמודים, המנהגים וההדרכות, שכל אחד מהם במקומו הוא מוסיף תקון אור וחיים מתאים עם הלך הנפש השבטית ובונה את עולמו, והוא לפעמים מעכר וסותר בנין בהיותו מלופף בסדרים שאינם מענינו. אמנם כל זה מסבב רק צרה ויגון ארעי, אבל בפנימיות החיים חיה היא הנשמה הכללית שנתעוררה הרבה ע"י מחית הקוים הפרטיים, ואם הנעם והסדור נתמעט ומרירות ויסורין רוחנים וגשמיים מתחברים עם כל מעשינו, בכל זה "אע"פ שמיצר ומימר לי דודי לי ובין שדי ילין". ומתוך האחדות הבלולה, המלאה ערבוב וחסרון סדור, יצא לאור תכן חיים מתוקן ומסודר, שיגלה ויראה בהופעת אור חיים של גאולה וישועה, וישראל ישוב על מכונו וכח שבטיו ישוב אליו באחדות הרמונית, ועוד תעבורנה הצאן על ידי מונה, ומזבח ד' ההרוס יבנה עוד הפעם על ידי שנים עשר אבנים, "כשנים עשר שבטי בני יעקב אשר היה דבר ד' אליו לאמר ישראל יהיה שמך", על ידי אליהו מלאך הברית, אשר מאז נקרא על ידי קנאתו "ד' הוא האלהים" הולך הוא ועובד עבודת השלום להשיב לב אבות על בנים ולב בנים על אבותם, על ידי אור רזי תורה העליונים ההולך ושוטף בכנסת ישראל ומתפלש בכל מעבדיה, עסקנותה, ספריותיה, תקוותיה ועבודותיה, המתראים בצורות שונות, מקדש ומחול, מבנין וגם מהירוס, אמנש כולם כאחד עסוקים בבנין הפנימי והחיצוני, הפרטי והכללי, למעלה למעלה מחוג הכרתם של כל הפועלים והעובדים עצמם וגבוה הרבה יותר מכל מטרותיהם המצומצמות, רק בעצת ד' אשר יעץ לתת לעמו אחרית ותקוה. "באחרית הימים תתבוננו בה בינה".

Chag Sameach! טעות גדולה היא ביד אותם שאינם מרגישים את האחדות הסגולית שבישראל, וחפצים הם בדמיונם להשוות את הענין האלהי הזה, המיוחד באופי הישראלי, לענין כל תוכן של עם ולשון אשר בכל משפחות האדמה, ומזה בא הרצון לפלג את הענין הלאומי ואת הענין הדתי לשתי פלוגות, ושתיהן יחד נחלו בזה שקר, כי כל עניני המחשבה, ההרגשה והאידיאליות, שהננו מוצאים באומה הישראלית, חטיבה אחת בלתי מחולקה היא, והכל ביחד עושה הוא את צורתו המיוחדה. אמנם כשם שטועים המתאמצים להפריד את החלקים הבלתי מתחלקים הללו, ככה יותר הם טועים אותם שהם סבורים שאפשר הדבר שהחלוק והפרוד יעלה בידם של כל המתאמצים להפריד את התיומת, ומזה בא שהם לוחמים נגד מחזיקי חלק אחד מהחטיבה הישראלית בחמה שפוכה, על הפרדתם המהבלת, מבלי לשים על לב איך צריכה המלחמה הזאת להתכונן. אם היה אפשר להפריד באמת את התכנים הרוחניים שבכנסת ישראל, אלא שהדבר מנוע מפני איזה חק תורי, אז היתה צריכה המלחמה להיות מכוונת נגד המחזיקים בחלק נפרד מיוחד, לבלע ולכלות את צביונם מעל שמי האומה. אבל כיון שמניעת הפירוד היא מניעה מוחלטת בטוחים אנחנו שהמפרידים, מחזיקי החלקים הבודדים, אינם טועים כ"א בציור דמיונם ולא בפועל הויתם, כי באמת בזה החלק הפרטי, כיון שיסודו בחיי האומה בכללה, הרי הכל כבר נמצא בו, וצריכה המלחמה להיות מיוחדת רק לגלות להם את טעותם ולברר להם, שכל מאמצי חילם להפריד את האחדות הישראלית העליונה לא יעלו בידם. וההסתגלות של שלמי המחשבה והרצון הישראלי, בכל עמק טבעיותו, צריכה רק להיות לבקר את החזיון החלקי מכל עבריו, ולהראות בו בעצמו את כל סימני תמותו וכליליותו מכל הנושאים כולם, גם מאותם הרעיונות שבעלי הרוח רצו כבר להסיח מהם את דעתם ולעקרם מנפשותיהם. ע"י בירור ענין אמתי זה יעמדו סוף סוף כל בעלי התפרדות על ההכרה, שדי להם לכלות לשוא את כחם, ותחת להחזיק בחלק נפרד מדומה, שכל השאיפות והתכנים הכלליים של כל האומה כולה, בכל ערכיה, כלולים בו, אלא שהם כהים ומטושטשים, ומתוך כך מונעים הם מהנפשות המחזיקות בו את שובעם הרוחני, מצמצמים את מרחב רוחם ומדריכים אותם בנתיבות מלאי חתחתים, - יותר נח יהיה להם להכיר באמת את האמת המציאותית ולהחזיק בכל התוכן החי הקודש של אור ישראל השלם בכל הופעותיו בגלוי. בזה יושיעו את נפשם מכל צרה ומחשכים, ויביטו וינהרו אל ד' ואל טובו, ולא יצטרכו עוד לענות את נפשם בשברי רעיונות כהים ומטושטשים, אשר לא יוכלו מעבר מזה להפטר מהם לנצח ומעבר אחר למצא להם ברור והארת רוח, כי הם תכנים אשר טובם ולשד חייהם הנלהב והעצום לא יתגלה כ"א על הככר הרחכ והשלם שכל החיים הישראליים, במהותם הכללית והשלמה, מתראים בו בכל מלא עזיזותם.

We learned Torah 6 and 8 from Rebbe Nachman's Likutie MoHaran where Rebbe Nachman discusses in Torah 6 how one must embrace from the offset that Teshuva/Repentance/Returning to G-d and our essential selves, is a two pronged process of failure and success, of ups and downs, of doing more but also accepting just being where we are at. In Torah 8, Rebbe Nachman talks about the importance of the breathe, of breathing, pausing, living in the now and accepting our lack.

Dr. Israel Eldad's comparison of the acceptance of the 1947 UN Partition Plan to the Ancient Jewish Sin of the Golden Calf. Taken from Eldad's collection of autobiographical diaries titled: The First Tithe. We further discussed the modern day adaptations of Eldad's ideology as it relates to the recent peace plan espoused by Donald Trump's America and how it's acceptance and celebration would mimic the laughter of those who danced around the egel.

Inspired after the recent Zusha song Basi Lgani, we learned the Mamar, Bati L’gani, that the Lubavitcher Rebbe gave over upon accepting the mantle as the 7th Rebbe of Chabad on the 10th of Tevet, 1951. The Rebbe reminds us how G-d’s presence is abundantly found even in the lowest chambers of existence, and how it is a Jews responsibility to reveal this Divinity that exists wherever they find themselves.

This shiur given at the Kever of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov in Uman attempts to do the impossible and introduce the Tzadik and Spiritual enigma that is Rebbe Nachman. We looked at a number of teachings from Rebbe Nachman's hassidic masterpiece and magnum opus, Likutei Moharan, in addition to painting the picture of the Tzadik through looking at his parables and recalling his legends. Rebbe Nachman said that if it weren't for his scion and primary disciple Reb Nosson of Nemoriv later known as Reb Nosson of Breslov, none of his teachings would be known. Reb Nosson, in the aforementioned spirit, recalls in Sichot haran 48, how Rebbe Nachman would insist on starting over anew in his service of G-d multiple times a day. Rebaynu would fall and start over, fall again and start over, refusing to relinquish his spirit while forbidding himself to fall into despair. We should draw the strength to follow in the path of the Tzadik as we take our brokenness and recreate ourselves anew bigger and brighter day after day...

In honor of Yom Ha'atzmaut 5779 we learned a piece from Rav Kook, Orot HaMilchama ט on Rav Kook's vision of Hebrew Universalism, brought about through the creation of a model society in Eretz Yisroel.
