Reconciliation - In the letter to the Colossians, the apostle Paul makes it clear that it is ultimately all about Jesus. Jesus is sufficient and the only way that we will truly feel alive is when we are in Jesus. Join us this spring as we reflect on what it looks like to live a life that is grounded in the saving work of Jesus. This week's passage is Colossians 1:15-23 and Noel Musicha and Jere Lester from Ebenezer Church, our Church plant in Linda Vista, are preaching. In the first few verses, we see that Christ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, and the one who holds all things together. These words paint a picture of Christ as the all-powerful and eternal ruler of the universe, who has always existed and who will always reign supreme. But it's not just Christ's power that is emphasized in this passage; it's also his redemptive work on the cross. The verses remind us that through his death and resurrection, Christ reconciled all things to himself, making peace between God and humanity. If you want to learn more about Jere and Noel, they we just guests on the Conversations Podcast: conversations.ljpres.orgWe want to connect with you! Who Is This Jesus? Today's world is filled with noise and anxiety. During this season of Lent, Jesus invites you to listen, pray, reflect, and simply Follow. Jesus did not invite people into a life of discipleship by saying, “come and lead with me.” Instead, he invited people to “follow him” and “learn from him.” Between now and Easter we are going to be talking about what it means to “follow” Jesus and what it looks like to trust God's “leadership” as we live out our lives. This Sunday is Palm Sunday. The celebration of Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem as king. The Scripture passage is Matthew 21:1-11. Jesus rides into the city on the back of a donkey, as his followers wave palm branches and lay down a bed of cloaks. The whole city wants to know, “Who is this?”We want to connect with you!
