Season 6, Episode 11 | Pastor Chad and Shane Oehler discuss 1 Timothy 5:1-8, focusing on treating church members like family with respect and purity, honoring true widows, and the responsibility of families to care for their own to avoid burdening the church.
Our West Next Steps Pastor, Chad Classen, continues week eleven of our teaching series, Breakthrough. Prayer is a gift from God—a tool that He's given us to foster deep and meaningful relationship with Him. God invites us to consistently use this gift of prayer, knowing how much a life of prayer can transform our desires and perspectives to align with His. There is power as we pray out loud, approach God boldly, and bring our real self to Him. Prayer has a unique way of teaching us how to depend on God as we trust His goodness, wisdom, and plan. In this message, Pastor Chad explores the following Scriptures: Luke 18:1-8 NLT One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. "There was a judge in a certain city," he said, "who neither feared God nor cared about people. A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, 'Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.' The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, 'I don't fear God or care about people, but this woman is driving me crazy. I'm going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!'" Then the Lord said, "Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don't you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?" Matthew 6:5-8 NLT When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. "When you pray, don't babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. Don't be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! Matthew 6:14-18 NLT If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. "And when you fast, don't make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get. But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. – Next Steps Looking to take a next step? In this message, Pastor Chad Veach launches the series “Better and Brighter,” teaching from Matthew 5 that followers of Jesus are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Christians aren't meant to live for themselves, but to live on mission — helping people who are far from God encounter His love and grace. Pastor Chad emphasizes that the heart of the gospel is rescue. God didn't send Jesus to condemn the world but to save it. Through stories like the lost sheep and the lost coin, he reminds us that being lost does not remove someone's value — it only changes their location. God relentlessly pursues people who are far from Him because they still belong to Him. The message challenges believers to stop living small, self-centered lives and instead join God's rescue mission. Ordinary people carry an extraordinary message — the gospel of Jesus. When Christians live boldly and share their faith, they become the salt and light that can make their cities, communities, and workplaces better and brighter.
Pastor Chad taught that the cross, once a symbol of shame and punishment in the Roman world, became the greatest symbol of hope because of Jesus. He explained that the real problem in the world is the evil and sin present in every human heart, which separates us from God. From the beginning of Scripture, God promised a coming Savior who would defeat evil and restore humanity. Jesus fulfilled that promise by living without sin and dying on the cross as our substitute, taking the punishment we deserved so we could be forgiven and reconciled to God. Through the cross, the barrier between God and humanity was removed, giving believers access to God and the transforming power of His Spirit.

Friend of Sinners - Pastor Chad Hertler The Gospel of Mark - Mark 2:13-17
Pastor Chad's sermon centers on the idea that the “good news” of the gospel begins with understanding the seriousness of sin. Using the image of the fig leaf from Genesis 3, he explains that sin is not just a mistake but a rebellious condition within us that brings shame and separation from God. Like Adam and Eve, people try to cover that shame with “fig leaves” such as success, morality, or image, but these efforts are temporary and insufficient. The true good news is that God Himself provides the covering we cannot—pointing to Jesus, who takes our shame on the cross and clothes us in His righteousness, offering not just forgiveness but real transformation from the inside out.

In this powerful message titled This Is My Vow, Pastor Chad Veach reminds us that marriage is not sustained by feelings — it is sustained by covenant. Rooted in Genesis 2, he teaches that marriage was God's idea from the beginning, designed to flourish when built on His foundation. Love is not accidental, and strong relationships don't happen by chance. They are built through intentional decisions, daily commitment, and keeping God at the center. Pastor Chad challenges couples to reject comparison, forgive quickly, and choose gratitude over criticism. Feelings will fluctuate, but faithfulness is a choice. When God is at the center — like a cord of three strands — storms may come, but they won't destroy what is grounded in Him. This message is a call to stop drifting, stop blaming, and renew your vow — not just on your wedding day, but every single day.

In this message Pastor Chad Veach kicks off a brand-new series titled “Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places,” teaching from 1 John 4:19 “We love because He first loved us.” Before we can love well, date well, or build a great marriage, we must first learn how to receive the love of God. In this powerful and practical sermon, Pastor Chad explains the difference between living water love and broken cistern love, showing how so many of us chase attention, affection, and cheap substitutes that leave us dry and empty. From the woman at the well to King Saul forcing outcomes, this message challenges us to stop trading real love for cheap likes, stop forcing what should be faith, and start trusting God's direction over our own desires. Nineveh | Message 3: I Still Don't Want To Go | Pastor Chad Dingess | 02/15/2026 by Bethesda Church
Preaching from the Gospel of John 1, Pastor Chad's message “Come and See” emphasizes that sharing the gospel isn't about obligation but overflow—when people truly encounter Jesus, they can't help but invite others. Highlighting Jesus' “I Am” statements and stories like Andrew, Philip, and the Samaritan woman, he shows that the gospel spreads through simple, relational invitations. The call is to seek a fresh revelation of Christ personally, then boldly bring others to experience Him for themselves.

February 15th, 2026 Pastor Chad McDonald The first chapter of Jonah is one of my favorite passages. Interwoven into the story of Jonah’s fleeing from God’s call is the story of a group of sailors who have an unexpected encounter with God that radically alters their lives. Because of Jonah, they face a storm. At first, they pray to their gods and try everything in their own wisdom and power to get themselves out of this horrible situation. Nothing works. Everything they have relied on in the past; their gods, and their own wisdom and power won’t fix this problem. When they finally confront Jonah, who fears the Lord God of heaven, they become extremely frightened. Deep inside these men, just like us, is a knowledge of God that God has placed there. In our sin and disobedience, we suppress that truth, but it is always there. When we are confronted with storms, the truth often finds its way to the surface. We are confronted with the knowledge of God. What those sailors do next is amazing. They pray to God. They ask for forgiveness and then carry out the judgment of God on Jonah as Jonah had directed them. The storm quits raging. They make it to shore, offer sacrifices to God, and make vows. These men who set out that morning on a routine voyage ended up facing a storm that caused them to run to God, have a personal encounter with Him, and their lives and eternity were changed. Where do you turn when you encounter the storms of life? What idols do you look to? Do you rely upon your own wisdom and strength? When those fail, where do you turn? Do you have an unshakable foundation in your life that carries you through the storms? David had an unshakable foundation in the Lord. The Lord was his good, his delight, his counsel, his refuge, his inheritance, and his eternal joy and hope. This foundation provided him the strength to navigate the storms and even give him confident hope in the face of death. I pray that you will join us as we walk through Psalm 16. It is going to be another great weekend with God’s people. I hope to see you at church! In Christ, Pastor Chad

Bringing Jesus Home - Pastor Chad Hertler The Gospel of Mark - Mark 1:29-39
Season 6, Episode 6 | Tyler Smith joins Pastor Chad for an engaging breakdown of 1 Timothy 2:9-15. Together they explore Paul's call for women's modest adornment through good deeds, quiet learning in submission, and salvation linked to childbearing amid continued faith, love, and holiness.
Pastor Chad preached from Acts 8, showing that God uses ordinary, Spirit-filled people to share the good news of Jesus with everyone. Using Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch, he taught that evangelism isn't about being a super-Christian or having all the answers, but about listening to the Holy Spirit, listening to people, and obeying when God leads. The gospel is truly for all people, and when everyday believers step into God's mission, lives are changed and joy is renewed in the church.

In this message, Pastor Chad Veach shares a deeply moving sermon titled “Everything's Better When You're Here,” wrapping up the “We Want You Here” series with a powerful word from John chapter 11. Through the story of Lazarus, we see how Jesus brings not only resurrection power but also compassionate presence. Before He raised Lazarus, Jesus wept. He showed us that His presence is everything even before the miracle. Pastor Chad challenges us to stop living numb and start leaning into healing. Whether you're walking through grief, loss, or uncertainty, this message reminds you: Jesus shows up first with presence, then with power. Don't pursue results pursue relationship.
