Did we take the entire summer off from the podcast without realizing it? Yes. Did we manage to read and find joy? Sorta! We are counting all wins big and small and we hope everyone else is too. We so appreciate those that are still listening to us ramble about the things we love. We are discussing the absolute brilliance that is REEL by Kennedy Ryan, this one took us through our emotions in a way that was so deftly crafted we decided to make it a...multi(?)-parter. We aren't sure how many episodes but it will be more than one! 

Happy Endings Ahoy!! This episode we talk about HER SCOTTISH ROGUE by Dahlia Rose. We got a sexy lady pirate and an equally sexy Scottish pirate. We get into our feelings about what we want in our pirate heroines but ultimately loved this duo, flawed continuity and all. 

Dear Gentle Listener, By now we are all fully enamored and indoctrinated into the Bridgerton universe and all things Regency. And it comes as no surprise that these two Lusty Intellectuals have thoughts and struggles with this offering from ShondaLand and Julia Quinn.  There was lots to love and plenty to raise a dubious, duke-ish brow at as well. Join us if you too had some gut feelings about the series that did not align with all the seemingly universal gushing of the ton!

We have been deep in survival mode the last few months. How about you all? There's so much to love in this book and we hope everyone will go out and read it!!

One of our favorite secondary characters in a series gets her HEA in this one, and we love every pervy pun along the way. We need 2 episodes to fully appreciate Crashing Into Her by Mia Sosa. Part 1 is all about compression shirts, smoking hot reggaeton dance offs, and tangents about dicks out in Target.

This episode we become full indoctrinated in Romancelandia reading our first Beverly Jenkins novel! We are now official. In Part 2 of A Duke by Default we made it to the sex! You know we're all about the sex. We loved everything about this book. And like Part 1 we spent a lot of time in our feelings.

Join us for Part 1 of our review of A Duke by Default. For those still following us, you knew what this was! We are a bit messy on plot & long on sighs, and groans, and feeling our feelings out loud. Alyssa Cole does a number on us. WE. LOVED. IT. Like all good things we took our time with this one. This is a slow burn that we loved savoring.

Praise Frosty, Santa, Mrs. Badass Claus, & Rudolph too for the ooey gooey gem that is Wrapped! Be prepared for a lot of out loud laughter & then some very real tears. Maybe read this without an audience... ;) We did some ruminating on our 10th episode.

All of our extra is completely appropriate. We fell in love with 2 men at the same time. We also realized that small town life can be fan-fucking-tastic!

We have all been Dani at some point in our lives and the negative self-talk hit a little close to home. We definitely open up more in this episode about our own self-work and how sometimes it takes another to help get us through it the way Toni helps Dani. Because let's be honest, that's what good dick will do for you!

Everyone is talking about this book, and so are we! Get ready for a total gush fest. We fan girl hard all things Talia Hibbert and Mating the Huntress. This may be the episode we realized what perverts we are, and we aren't sad about it.

This episode is all about fated mates & pheromones. Lots of wine was consumed, which led to lots of laughter and lots of fun. It's a cute, quick, easy read. But definitely read the first book in the series so this book makes sense.

Tangents upon tangents, chicken blood, & dick soap. The plot is very dense, with lots of very realistic external conflict, very well written. The romance arc moves a little slower and the heat level is low. This is a curse heavy episode. And we had very strong opinions about the characters throughout.

We fell in love with the characters and Naima SImone in this book. We cover #MeToo, female pleasure, and why men should read romance. Get ready for a gush fest because we mostly just talked about how much we loved it!

Lots of spoilers. We fan girled hard on this book so we decided to gush about our love of this book instead of reviewing Pretending He's Mine. That review will happen after the next one.
