Welcome to the satonmybutt beard care podcast, an offspring of the satonmybutt website. A bearded, disabled blogger having a moan and reviewing products!
The Autumn Spice beard oil like all the Balm House oils is made up from a blend of eight carrier oils that left my beard feeling softer.
I have been sent a set of six beard oils from Balm House for review and this is the first of those oils.
The Beardy Beard Co X2 Beard Oil is handmade in Belfast, Northern Ireland from all natural ingredients. The fresh citrus scent with the Pine scent that sits subtly in the background is very nicely done!
Blended in honour of the drink of the same name is The Beardy Beard Co Black Russian beard balm. The scent is a blend of Vanilla pure, Coffee Arabica, Sweet Orange, Clove & Bay essential oils and the result is a sweetness from the vanilla and Orange followed by a coffee scent that smells like coffee beans and not a stale coffee.
Last but not least from Robin Hood Beard Co is their Outlaw beard oil that has such a complex scent and is gentle yet has a kick of cognac scent.
Without a doubt this balm gets the Golden Beard Aweard which is given to the best of the best products and my mere words cannot do justice to this amazing product!
The discussion of wether or not to shave your neck and cheek lines is often discussed. So what should you do? Well this is my input on the subject!
This is my favourite of the Beardster scents, a fresh and gentle citrus oil made from 100% natural ingredients.
Guardians of the Beard is a beard group on facebook that I set up a couple of years ago, it is actually now nearing 1900 members and we have some laughs, talk about beard care and even indulge in a selfie or two. Come and join us!
Sounds easy doesn't it, just stop shaving and that is it! But many guys give in because it gets itchy and its prickly in the beginning, here are a few tips! My favourite brands & products - http://www.satonmybutt.co.uk/my-top-brands-what-do-i-recommend/
Review of the all natural Beardster New World beard oil. The scent is a fresh Lime and floral Ylang Ylang blend.

The Balbo Beard Co is the perfect scent for this warm spring weather, a fresh blend of Sweet Orange and Grapefruit. The oil will not only leave your beard feeling softer, looking good and smelling amazing, but it will also help to look after the skin under your beard.
The Balbo Beard Co #9 Beard Balm is the perfect summer scent of Sweet Orange and Grapefruit and the balm has to be tried to understand how good it is.
The British Bearded Baby Night Tonic Beard Oil is scented with lavender and Rosemary and the oil has a slightly thicker consistency and I really like a thicker consistency beard oil.
The Bristish Bearded Baby Pure Beard balm is a lovely medium consistency beard balm with a subtle Vanilla and Lemon scent.
Review of the Balbo Beard Co #10 Beard Oil that has an incredible scent blended from Black Pepper, Benzoin & Neroli essential oils. Once again brand owner Rhian has shown that she is among the best for beard care.
Review of Balbo Beard Co #10 Beard Balm that is made from all natural ingredients and scented using Black Pepper, Benzoin & Neroli essential oils. Yet again Rhian has proved that she can produce consistently amazing beard care products and this is a brand you have to try.
Review of High Life Awesome Beard Cream from befaf, High Life is owned by hair care brand Imperial Dax who have been selling hair care products in USA for 50 + years.
Review of Oil Can Grooming Blue Collar Beard Oil that was sent for review by 3rd party reseller befaf. It has a Subtle Tobacco and exotic spices lifted by zesty Mandarin scent and left my beard feeling quite good and the branding has to be amongst the best there is.
Review of the maple syrup scented Apothecary 87 Muskoka Beard Balm from third party reseller befaf. The 100ml tube of balm is more like a cream/gel and more like a hair product than the usual firmer beard balm but it leaves the beard feeling softer with a nice hold.
Review of Woodsman Beard Co Dubai Sunrise Beard Oil & Balm that easily gets the Golden Beard Award. I reviewed this product a year ago and they have since made changes to the recipe and it has made a massive difference.
Review of Woodsman Beard Co The Woodsman Beard Oil & Balm, The Woodsman is their signature scent that is made up using Pine, Cedar wood, Sandal wood, and a hint of tea-tree create a warm woody scent.
Review of Woodsman Beard Co Classic Cedarwood Beard Oil & Balm, the scent is very good and I expect that is because it is a high quality Cedarwood oil.
Review of Woodsman Beard Co The Mountaineer Beard Oil & Balm that has a crisp and fresh-smelling blend of Sandalwood and lemon.
Review of the Woodsman Beard Co Cedar & Lime Beard oil & Balm, a nice blend that is both woodsy and citrus fresh. The balm is also available in a vegan friendly blend and I gave both 95/100.
Now it is common knowledge that I love a citrus scent, couple that with an oil natural base made in small batches and you have a lovely oil.

Alas this product isn't really a wax, it is way too soft to be any use styling and holing your tash. I am going to see how it goes on my beard at a later date!
This balm was different from the usual balms I review, it is however nicely done and I love the marketing as a beard and bonce balm.
I have had this brand on my 'want' list for a while now and so when the products arrived, I hoped they would live up to the hype. I am happy to say that the answer is a firm yes!
The Grizzly Adam beard care set is unfortunately a no thank you from me. Not only is the packaging unnecessary but the products have a scent that doesn't work and the overall quality isn't reflected in the price.
Alas this oil that came as part of a travel kit wasn't that good, the scent was meant to be Cedarwood and Lime but it just didn't work.
The travel wash came as part of a travel kit but alas it didn't live upto my expectations.
Part of a travel kit the Grizzly Adam beard balm was let down by its scent.

I gave this a reasonable review despite it being way over priced for a product that just contains Argan oil and Black Pepper essential oil and the scent isn't even good. However the brand owner threatened me with legal action and reported me to YouTube because I displayed his logo.
A nice beard wash that I still use regularly, the lather from this is incredible.
