Numbers 19 is a significant chapter in the Old Testament that outlines the laws regarding the red heifer and its use in purification rituals. This ordinance was given by God to Moses and Aaron and was crucial for maintaining ritual purity among the Israelites. The chapter begins with God commanding Moses and Aaron to take a red heifer that is without blemish, has no defect, and has never been yoked. The heifer was to be brought outside the camp and slaughtered in the presence of the priest, Eleazar. Eleazar was to sprinkle its blood seven times toward the front of the Tabernacle. The entire heifer—its hide, flesh, blood, and dung—was to be burned. Cedarwood, hyssop, and scarlet wool were thrown into the fire as it burned. Afterward, a clean man was to gather the ashes and store them in a clean place outside the camp, to be used for purification from sin. The ashes of the red heifer were mixed with running (fresh) water to create the "water of purification." This water was used to cleanse those who became ritually unclean, particularly from contact with a dead body. A person who touched a dead body became unclean for seven days. On the third and seventh days, they were to be sprinkled with the water of purification to be cleansed. If someone refused to be purified, they remained unclean and were cut off from the community.Objects, tents, and vessels that came into contact with the dead also had to be purified using the water. The red heifer ritual symbolized the need for purification from sin and death. The ashes, mixed with water, provided a way for people to be cleansed and restored to purity. Many Christian scholars see the red heifer as a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice cleanses people from sin. Just as the heifer was sacrificed outside the camp, Jesus was crucified outside Jerusalem (Hebrews 13:12). The chapter emphasizes the importance of holiness, showing that impurity must be dealt with before a person can approach God. Numbers 19 serves as a powerful reminder of God's provision for purification and points forward to the ultimate sacrifice of Christ, who cleanses believers from all sin. It highlights the need for spiritual purification, the importance of obedience to God's commands, and the understanding that sin and death require divine redemption.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sendme-radio--732966/support.

Strong, solid and fortifying are all words that could be associated with the cedar tree. Even its name, originating from the Arabic word “kedron” means power. Through history, many cultures have gathered around a cedar tree or in building constructed from its wood. Cedars have always represented the solidarity and certainty that comes from community. Many people, opportunities and challenges will arise in life, but it is the special few friends and loved ones who will be there through thick and thin. Cedarwood grounds you in this remembrance, ensuring you do not become too busy with an excess of obligations, clutter and unnecessary duties. The legacy you will leave in this world will not being what you have done, but rather how you have made people feel. Cedarwood reinforces the importance of time with family and friends and dispels anxiousness around putting yourself out there and meeting new people. Cedarwood reminds you that you do not lose yourself amongst a group but find out who you truly are. Here is Adam's other video exploring Cedarwood: https://youtu.be/9r8xQKcZcQM?si=uhUjK... Johnny Flynn is a polymath – as comfortable as an actor on stage and screen as he is writing and performing songs. You have perhaps seen him as Mr Knightley in the film Emma or as Ian Fleming in Operation Mincemeat. In his latest film, One Life, he stars alongside Anthony Hopkins, as the young Nicholas Winton, who helped Jewish children flee from the Nazis in what became known as the Kindertransport. He's currently starring as Richard Burton in the play The Motive and the Cue, the story of how Burton and Sir John Gielgud clashed as they staged Hamlet on Broadway in 1964. Johnny has also released four albums with his band Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit. He composed the theme song for the acclaimed TV series Detectorists, and more recently he's collaborated with the nature writer Robert MacFarlane on two folk albums: Lost in the Cedarwood and The Moon Also Rises. His musical choices include Paul Robeson, Sondheim and Bizet.

Bug bites can be a serious issue during the Summer months, especially if you live anywhere near water. It can become more than a minor inconvenience when one small bite grows into a larger problem like Lyme Disease or West Nile. These tiny critters can pack a real punch to our bodies and I want you to be protected! The risk to using a a product that doesn't work is much higher for bug repellent than deodorant or laundry detergent. The latter might not leave your clothes bleach white, but the former could pose a serious risk to your life. When I moved to Virginia, the natural living part of me wanted to make my own insect repellent. But the environmental toxins attorney in me had to do a two-week deep dive on all of the research that is out there on bug sprays and insect repellent and DEET and all of it. Let's set you up for a safe and joyful Summer with this weeks episode on what insect repellents actually work, without all the toxins. Wendy's DIY Bug Spray In a 2 ounce glass spray bottle, add 7 drops each of Citronella, Purification, Cedarwood, Lavender and Lemongrass. Sprinkle in a pinch of salt (to help the oils mix with the water) and fill with distilled water. Spray on any exposed skin while outside and re apply every 60 minutes. *Make half the recipe for kids under 6Purchase all the oils here.Toxin Free ShopFind my top insect repellent picks.Check out the shownotes for more resources here!If you enjoyed this weeks' episode, please: Leave a a positive review or rating wherever you listen Shop toxin free products on my Toxin Free Shopping Guide Download your free Tossing the Toxins Guide Post a screenshot and what you loved and and tag me on instagram @wendy_toxinfreeish Want to ask me a question to get answered on the podcast? Purchase your sample kit here for the virtual private Riachi tasting by June 10th to ensure delivery! _________________ Finding Riachi was a happy accident, and boy am I happy it happened. Riachi has been making wine and spirits - mainly arak - in Lebanon for 184 years (since 1839), until they decided to enter the whisky space in 2011. Roy Riachi, the family's current generation, found a love for whiskies around that time and put his family's unusual still to use making Lebanese whisky. A decade later, they're still the only Lebanese whisky distillery around. They have two product lines: Levant Heights, their experimental line, and Athyr, an all-Lebanese product made from Lebanese sun-dried barley, Lebanese oak, and Lebanese cedar for the Cedarwood finish. This is some seriously good and seriously cool whisky, and you'll want to try it. Luckily, someone just happens to be hosting a private virtual tasting on June 17 with Roy himself! As an Environmental Scientist and Educator, Esther created Benesafe® Solutions in line with her commitment to sustainability and passion for protecting the environment. From her education, volunteer, personal, and professional experiences, she soon recognized the negative effects of toxic and unregulated chemicals on wildlife, the soil, drinking water, plants, diseases, social injustice, the Earth, and its people. At Benesafe® Solutions, they strive to create products that are in line with their values. Their goal is to be mindful of our impact on our planet. Benesafe Solutions' main ingredient is Cedarwood Oil What Is It? Our natural cedarwood essential oil is extracted from the wood of the juniper tree (Juniperus mexicana). Why Do They Use It? Cedarwood oil repels and kills scent-driven insects, such as mosquitos, fleas, and ticks. These insects, as well as many others, need the pheromone octopamine to maintain necessary life functions (respiration, metabolism, reproduction, movement, etc.) the cedarwood oil blocks the octopamine receptors causing the insects to die. Fortunately, beneficial insects like bees and butterflies are not affected. The oil from cedarwood also alters insect pH balance, and breaks down the fat that insects need to survive, causing death. Cedarwood oil is very effective at leaching moisture from targeted insects which eventually dries them out and kills them. Does it actually work? See for yourself with this third-party efficacy study and report http://www.benesafesolutions.com/ (on their website).

This is the audio of my Solar Plexus Chakra Healing Meditation from my online course "Ignite Your Wild." This course was designed for women, but is not exclusive and meant to be open and healing for everyone.Link to the Course*I say "Sacral Chakra" in the intro, but meant "solar plexus".SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA | MANIPURALocation: Navel / stomachColor: YellowElement: FirePurpose: Your Solar Plexus is known in Indian Tantric Practice to be your "place of gems" and it where your light radiates from. This is the chakra where full mastery of your physical body is achieved and your confidence and ability to assert yourself extends from. When your Solar Plexus is in balance: Your light shines bright, your aura expands, and you attract others with light. You are confident and fears subside, any depression turns to joy, and your insecurities melt away. When your solar plexus chakra is balanced, you make clear and confident decisions, without judgment and your personal identity shines bright. When your Solar Plexus is out of balance: You shut down your light and take action from the place of your ego. You also have feelings of being imbalanced with a depletion of energy and you may also become self-sabotaging with a want and need to control others. When your Manipura is blocked, so is your entire energy system and you may experience lower back pain or digestion issues along with a lack of confidence. Also, if you do the homework from any past episodes, please still turn it in, no matter how late! After all, a wizard (or witch, presumably) is never late--nor is he early. Today, we focus on deep, restful sleep. This relaxing hypnosis will ease you into a beautifully deep healing sleep. So, be safe: do not listen to this recording while driving! HUMBLE BRAG MOMENT: this month (August 2021), Stories from the Subconscious Podcast has reached 3,000 unique listens! Thank YOU for listening and sharing - we all truly do have the ability to help even just one person. NOW, let's talk about this month's HYPNOSIS EPISODE. This month, we are focusing on SLEEP - so the episode will be a little different than the past. I will NOT count you back UP. So it is designed to guide you into a beautiful nap or send you off to sleep at night. I can already hear the question: DOES THAT MEAN I WON'T WAKE UP AND I'LL BE STUCK IN HYPNOSIS!? No, of course not. You still hear a doorbell ring when you're really into watching a movie, right? Listening to a guided hypnosis is the same thing. There is no such thing as getting stuck in hypnosis. And since the objective of this hypnosis is to welcome in rest, the objective is to allow you to sink into that rest and relaxation deeper and deeper so that you wake up energized with intention. Doesn't that sound spectacular?! The truth is: the more you go to sleep with intention, the easier it is to wake up with intention. And the easier it is to wake up with intention, the more you go to sleep with intention. It's a cycle, you see? As any of you know, I am a Certified Aromatherapist (as well as a Certified Hypnotherapist) and for me, the two practices compliment each other seamlessly. Here are my recommendations to accompany your inhales for this hypnosis: Lavender Essential Oil: it has been SCIENTIFICALLY shown to bring someone from a more active beta brain wave state into an alpha brain wave state. It's like you are pre-gaming if you use lavender before hypnosis. Perhaps “priming” is a better word for it. NOTE: There are MORE lavender products in the world than there is lavender essential oil to supply them. What does that mean? It means that there is a LOT of synthetic fragrance out there posing as lavender. If it is synthetic and NOT plant based (like lavender essential oil is), it will not have the chemical constituents to interact with the brain in such a way as to help bring the brain into theta. Quality is the #1 focus when we talk essential oils. So read your labels and do your homework. Lastly, Lavandin IS NOT LAVENDER! Alright I'll put that topic to bed. Many do not enjoy lavender. If that is you, I recommend Cedarwood or Black Spruce essential oils. **Inhaling essential oils before practicing hypnosis is not obligatory, however it will help deepen the practice.** So, go ahead and start inhaling your oils and bringing your focus and awareness to your breath…Because you are about to sleep like a baby. Are you ready?!
