Spider-Man is one of my favorite characters. I decided it's time to look at the source material. I may now want to read all the early Marvel Comics.
Avataro Sentai Donbrothers 08 A Thing for Long Hair - April 24, 2022 Writer: Toshiki Inoue Director: Hiroyuki Kato How do intentions matter? Did Tsuyoshi mean for the artist to die? Does it matter? Is the world really a better place without him?

In Gorenger Shogaku Gonensei Directive 4: The Lying Robot, Secret Squadron Gorenger cracks a case involving greed and jealousy without even putting on their spiffy suits. Do the Gorenger need to transform every time?
In Gorenger Shogaku Gonensei Directive 3, Mirror Mask lures Secret Squadron Gorenger towards certain death by his devastating laser with Tsuyoshi, Akaranger, serving as the bait! Is Akarenger OK?
Gorenger Shogaku Gonensei Directive 2: Sees the Gorenger leap into action to save a scientist and his granddaughter from a plot to exploit his genius engineering skills for their malicious mission. Does fighting taint a pure heart?
Gorenger Shogaku Gonensei Directive 1: Rally Under the Gorenger Flag is an alternate telling of Gorenger. Was this story too fast-paced?
Was the moral at the end of the story too preachy for you? Did it work for you?
Does Goro have a point when he challenges Shinmei about who the Gorenger serve?
Did this change the way you see J Jonah Jameson? Would you like to see more Spider-Man: Life Story Annuals like this?
Would you like to see this Radiant Wraith attacking the Earth Radiants redeemed or turned into an ally for them?
Is this part of the story going somewhere?
There is a lack of moral clarity between the writing team and Ultraman himself. I think.
Healthy skepticism is a virtue. You should question those in power. I think this comic gets around to admitting that, while telling a cool sc-fi story.
Did the Red reveal work for you? Will Nathan ever return? How could he?
What's Shin's dad's problem? I don't get it. Would he be dubious about his son being a firefighter or other dangerous profession that works to save people? What do you think his problem is? Is there something in his past to make things extra comic-book and soap operah-like or is it just a generational divide type-thing?
How do you feel about the latest developments? Are you excited? Is this an improvement?
I loved The Rise of Ultraman and I am excited to see if the crew can keep up the momentum.
Is this a slice of life or a superhero comic? Does it have a strong enough identity? Does it need to escalate to keep your interest?
I loved The Rise of Ultraman and I am excited to see if the crew can keep up the momentum.
Radiant Black had an adequate start for me. I was a bit dubious going into issue 2, but I held out hope it would be really good. I heard some STRONG hype for it, but I proceeded with caution. Was it a let down or did it live up to the hype? More importantly, did it rise to the level of Higgins' Ultraman comic?
Wanda and Vision fight to save Westview.
Forced by Agatha Harkness, Wanda Maximoff must relive past memories as she charts the steps that led her to Westview.
Monica plots her return to the anomaly while Wanda navigates a slew of unsettling complications, and Vision forms a new alliance to help.
Halloween has arrived in Westview! While Wanda takes Billy and Tommy trick-or-treating, Vision ventures out to the far side of town on a hunch.
I loved Higgins' work on The Rise of Ultraman (Mat Groom deserves some credit for hat, but I don't know how much) so I decided to check out this project. Was it as good as I hoped for?
This latest turn is so exciting. I was not expecting things to escalate so quickly!
Join me as I #CelebrateIshinomori by analyzing Robot Detective. Like much of modern Kamen Rider, Robot Detective actually has a 2 episode debut. This was a really exciting continuation of episode 1.
This show keeps getting better. My favorite thing might be feeling like I was along for the ride with the team investigating Westview. This feels so much like it is a part of a larger universe, abd it makes me want to learn more about it.
Join me as I #CelebrateIshinomori by analyzing Robot Detective. He is a robot. He is a detective. His name is K, and he is the eponymous lead of Robot Detective.
Join me as I #CelebrateIshinomori by analyzing Bishoujo Kamen Poitrine! Yuko becomes Poitrine to stop scammers from making it rich off of her superhero persona and help out the neighborhood detective along the way
A full-color graphic novel by manga legend Shotaro Ishinomori based on the classic video game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
This was a groovy episode. It seems to be a kind of story I have long been interested in. After the short, positive review, stick around for some speculation and random sitcom insights.
WandaVision is off to a good start. I'm hooked by the debut and looking to see what comes next.
In The Rise of Ultraman #5 With every step comes an earthquake. With every breath comes fire that melts steel. Witness calamity incarnate: BEMULAR!!
After going through the Spider-Verse I found my least favorite Spider-Man costume. I'll explain why it's bad and offer alternative designs for it.
It can be argued that no story NEEDS to exist, but this felt like an especially needless use of a miniseries. My favorite part was when it ended.
In The Rise of Ultraman #4 Shin learns the USP secret that could lead to Kiki's death and trigger the Kaiju Crisis. What can Ultraman do to stop it?
Spider-Gwen is weird to me. The movie version is good. The Comic version feels redundant and like she can't quite stand on her own. Her 2015 mini-series showed that to me.
My kid got me to read her Spider-Gwen and it piqued my interest in the Spider-Verse. It was a let down. Find out why.
The Rise of Ultraman #3 from Marvel Comics has fun action, escalating stakes, and healthy skepticism of authority figures. It's a great comic and this series is strong. I have a lot to say about it, so check out my full analysis!
This post-Pearl Harbor issue of Captain America Comics deals with the new Japanese threat in an interesting way. The Japanese characters are drawn with exaggerated features to help dehumanize them and make them easier to hate. It's good for propaganda, but bad for the soul!
The inside cover to this book boasts that it is NEW! DIFFERENT! EXCITING! I have to say it does deliver.
This issue feels like Avison and Shores pulling out all the stops to make the absence of Kirby and Simons less noticeable. They hit a lot of the same highlights and do a lot of the most Cap and Bucky things they can in how the visuals are presented.
Shin Hayata faces almost certain death. He can live and seize his own destiny if he can face his own darkness and rise above it.
The WORLD is at stake, but so are love and familial dynamics... I guess. This story has taken a turn I didn't expect, but I am still interested to see where it goes from here.
