A strange medieval affliction caused a mass hysteria event in Europe where people inexplicably and uncontrollably danced for weeks, leading to several deaths from exhaustion. Likely caused by extreme stress, famine, and disease, victims believed they were cursed by St. Vitus, the patron saint of dancers, actors, and epileptics, traditionally associated with healing nervous disorders known as "St. Vitus’ Dance". Dancing sickness or disease was a documented, fatal phenomenon. This and other bizarre events lead up to the infamous Massachusetts Salem Witch Trails that took place in 1692. John 20:1-9On the first day of the week,Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning,while it was still dark,and saw the stone removed from the tomb.So she ran and went to Simon Peterand to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them,“They have taken the Lord from the tomb,and we don't know where they put him.”So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb.They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peterand arrived at the tomb first;he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in.When Simon Peter arrived after him,he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there,and the cloth that had covered his head,not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place.Then the other disciple also went in,the one who had arrived at the tomb first,and he saw and believed.For they did not yet understand the Scripturethat he had to rise from the dead.

4-7-26 Tonight we're getting back together with Carlos Herrera, owner and Meadmaker at Texas Longhouse Meadery in Wylie, Texas. Carlos is the owner and mead maker of Texas Longhouse Meadery, where Nordic inspiration and Texas craft meet in the glass. With over two dozen awards and a passion for building community through mead, Carlos is also the President of the Texas Mead Association, working to grow the mead industry and bring more people into the Longhouse. Carlos, an Army Veteran, a Paramedic, and a Diplomatic Security Specialist, started learning how to make mead from an outgoing mentor. After learning the basics from his mentor, Carlos was injured at work and was sent home to recover. While home recovering from multiple surgeries, he set out to improve his new hobby. After many hours reading, researching, and experimenting Carlos fell in love with mead and really started to hone his craft of mead making. Fast forward several years and Carlos was really making waves in his new endeavors by entering many Mead competitions, winning awards, and giving his fellow competing mead makers quality feedback as a BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program) Certified Mead Judge.
