Provaris Energy Ltd (ASX:PV1, OTC:GBBLF) CEO Martin Carolan talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's progress at its new Robotics Innovation Centre in Norway, a key part of its strategy to streamline production of hydrogen and CO₂ tanks. Carolan outlined how robotics and laser welding are helping Provaris reduce labour-intensive processes and improve cost efficiency in constructing large-scale pressure vessels. “The way in which we're using it to fabricate large steel plate layers is to minimise the labour content and be as efficient as we can in production,” he said. Carolan shared that the company is midway through fabricating prototype components for the H2Neo hydrogen tank. This includes sections of cylinders and end caps. The testing phase is planned for the first quarter of next year, with the goal of meeting final regulatory conditions and securing full construction approvals. Provaris is also working with partners such as K Line and Yinson to demonstrate capabilities in both hydrogen and CO₂ applications. These site visits are expected to build confidence across its stakeholder network, from offtake to financing groups. Looking ahead, Carolan said the company's licensing model will support new revenue by enabling third-party fabrication of tank and integrated ship designs. “What we're establishing is not only the design, but the ability and know-how to fabricate and then transition that off to industrial scale production,” he explained. See how the Robotics Innovations Centre operates here: https://youtu.be/F3_-dLIWIWc Further updates are expected on the progress of hydrogen supply partnerships in the Nordics and tank designs for CO₂ storage and injection. Have you ever wondered why God allows you to go through the “miry clay” seasons of life? In this powerful message, Elder Andre Healey draws from Psalms 40:1–3, reminding us that God not only hears our cry but also lifts us out of despair and sets our feet on solid ground. Using the striking metaphor of a diamond, Elder Healey reveals how life's pressures and challenges are part of God's refining process—cutting, shaping, and polishing us for His glory. Just as diamonds gain their brilliance through time and transformation, we too are made stronger and more radiant through perseverance and faith. Your trials are not signs of defeat but evidence that God is preparing to reveal His glory through your life. Trust the process. Thanks so much for having us. You, you're both preparing for the UK offshore wind supply chain Spotlight 2025, in which Joel and I are looking forward to attending up in Edinburgh on December 11th. Uh, and it's an event that showcases where the UK stands in Global Offshore Wind Development. Uh, but Emily, I, I know there's some challenges in the UK at the moment and, uh, the UK is working through those. Want to talk to some of the. Those challenges and how the spotlight is gonna help work through those. Yeah, uh, of course. So, um, I think that, you know, we as the uk like have identified quite a while ago that offshore wind was a really massive opportunity for us. You know, we've got a really amazing offshore wind resource, [00:01:00] um, and. So we really wanted to take advantage of it and, you know, push forward with a, with that industry. Um, the things that we've come up against is that, um, ability to then provide homegrown, um, supply chain, you know, actually have, uh, businesses in the uk being that, that main supply, um. In the first port of call, you know, there was the, uh, a lot of the, um, sort of components that we, we sort of have to, to build the fixed bottom offshore wind was all coming from abroad, so it's like, right, well, how do we reap the benefits internally of this really amazing industry that we can build? And so, um, having, uh, supply chain spotlight events where we can really shine a light on the different companies internally in the UK that are actually providing services and providing, um, the supply chain for offshore wind, um, is, is super critical. And the, the catapult, um, the offshore renewable energy catapult, uh, where Magnus and I both from, um, is, you know, [00:02:00] really key into making that happen. I know when you look online at the re catapult and you see like the people that you partner with, the organizations, the, I mean OEMs, um, all of the innovative technical technology companies that are coming out there, it it, it's, it's so great to see. Right. And then this is me sitting in my, my American chair a and I talked about this. We talked a little bit about it off air, about the fact that wind energy in general, when you're, when you're talking offshore wind, onshore wind, it is a huge. Industrial and economic opportunity for all the countries that are involved in it. And simply because things like this don't come along that often, right? Like you have the, you know, the automo, I look at it like that, like the automobile was a thing, right? Like, oh, we went from horses to this. This is a huge opportunity. It made a lot of people, a lot of money, put a lot of people to work. Wind is the same thing in my perspective, and maybe not at that grand of scale, the automobile, of course, but. You are seeing with your organization, the involvement with people like we have the, the Siemens facility in [00:03:00]Hull, and I know you guys do a little bit of work with them, uh, bringing that manufacturing onshore into the uk. But not only is it bringing manufacturing what you're doing here with the UK offshore wind supply chain spotlight is taking. The small companies, the, the,

“We offer a three-year advance replacement warranty—something none of our competitors do,” said Antoine Karachekhlian, Channel Director, North America – Canada at Snom Americas. At Navigate 25, Karachekhlian sat down with Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, to highlight Snom's continued innovation in IP phones and DECT mobility. A centerpiece of Snom's presence at the event was the M500 series DECT solution, featuring a desk set, handset, and ruggedized handset. Unlike traditional phones, the system requires only power—no network cabling—connecting wirelessly through a secure, voice-dedicated DECT base. It can even emulate a key system mode for added flexibility. Karachekhlian emphasized Snom's heritage, dating back to its pioneering role in the late 1990s and its acquisition by VTech in 2017, which has strengthened the company's resources and reach. Today, differentiates itself through responsive customer support, channel-first distribution, and regional warehouses in the U.S. and Canada that ensure product availability. “AI isn't just a buzzword—it's transforming how contact centers and collaboration tools deliver value.” – Gary Pesta, Collaboration Account Executive, Webex At Navigate 25, Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, sat down with Gary Pesta of Cisco's Webex team to explore how Cisco is helping enterprises and service providers meet customer needs with flexible, AI-powered solutions. Cisco's focus, Pesta explained, is on enabling seamless collaboration across voice, video, and customer engagement channels. A centerpiece of that strategy is the Webex Contact Center, now enhanced with AI-powered agents. These can be scripted for predictable tasks or run autonomously, offering customers a real glimpse of what “AI in action” looks like. Pesta also highlighted Cisco's expanding role in CPaaS, where organizations such as utilities and local telcos are using messaging to proactively inform customers of outages, billing, and service updates—meeting customers before frustration turns into a support call. Another innovation drawing attention at the event was the Cisco Desk Pro, a 27-inch AI-enabled collaboration device with built-in noise cancellation and platform flexibility. Whether customers run Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Webex, the Desk Pro adapts—showing Cisco's commitment to being platform-agnostic while delivering premium quality. As enterprises shape their “back-to-office” strategies, Cisco sees its AI-enabled devices and collaboration platforms as central to enabling hybrid work and customer engagement. Pesta also underscored Cisco's ecosystem partnerships, noting that Cisco's new 9800 series phones are certified for MetaSwitch and Alianza, aligning with the spirit of collaboration at Navigate. Albertsen highlighted XSponse's integrated security and communications platform, which combines wearable technology, wall-mounted devices, and advanced detection capabilities. The ecosystem is designed for deployment in schools, hospitals, corrections, hospitality, and casinos, offering both large-scale and small-footprint solutions. One key feature is XSponse's wearable badge technology, which provides immediate safety alerts. With a triple-button press, the badge triggers LED and vibration feedback, sends alerts through the network, and can even dispatch 911 calls to on-site security officers. The devices also support full audio intercom functions and include built-in cameras with electromagnetic shutters for privacy. XSponse extends beyond personal safety with unique environmental monitoring capabilities, including a vape detector that integrates into HVAC systems to identify vaping and other anomalies such as methane, carbon monoxide, and various toxins. Albertsen emphasized that the system is designed to integrate directly into existing security infrastructures, giving organizations a robust, scalable platform to enhance safety, communication, and real-time incident response. “To boldly go where no SIM has gone before.” That was the theme at the Advantix booth during ScanSource Partner First, where Ansley Hoke, Senior Vice President of ScanSource's Integrated Solutions Group (ISG), joined Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, to discuss the company's expanding role in wireless connectivity. Hoke explained that Advantix, now part of ScanSource's ISG, is the multi-carrier wireless connectivity arm of the business, designed to help partners extend connectivity beyond the four walls with WAN-enabled devices. The integration of Advantix into ISG reflects ScanSource's commitment to delivering recurring revenue services and enabling partners to compete more effectively in the growing mobility market. When VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 launched in June, it marked more than just another release. It was the clearest signal yet that Broadcom is betting big on the modern private cloud. In this episode of Tech Talks Daily, I sat down with Prashanth Shenoy, who leads marketing and learning for the VCF division at Broadcom, to discuss what the launch means for enterprises and how those themes are playing out live at VMware Explore in Las Vegas. Prashanth shares how VCF 9.0 was designed to help enterprises operate private clouds with the same simplicity and scale as public hyperscalers, while keeping sovereignty, security, and cost predictability front and center. He explains why this release is more than an infrastructure update. It's a shift toward a workload-agnostic, developer-centric platform where virtual machines, containers, and AI workloads can run side by side with a consistent operational experience. We also unpack Broadcom's headline announcements at the show. From making VCF an AI-native platform to embedding private AI services directly into the foundation, the message is clear: the AI pilots of the past are moving into production, and Broadcom wants VCF to be the default home for enterprise AI. Another major theme is cyber compliance at scale, with VCF now offering continuous enforcement, rapid ransomware recovery, and advanced security services that address today's board-level concerns. But perhaps the biggest takeaway is the momentum. Nine of the top ten Fortune companies are now running on VCF, more than 100 million cores have been licensed, and dozens of enterprises—from global giants to mid-sized insurers—are on stage at VMware Explore sharing their adoption stories. The so-called “cloud reset” that Prashanth has written about is not just theory. Companies are rethinking their cloud strategies, seeking cost transparency, avoiding waste, and building resilient, AI-ready private clouds. This conversation highlights how Broadcom is doubling down on VCF with a singular focus, a massive R&D commitment, and a clear vision of where private cloud is headed. If you want to understand why private AI, developer services, and cyber resilience are now central to enterprise strategy, this is a conversation worth hearing.

In this episode of Technology Reseller News, publisher Doug Green speaks with Ameet Dhillon from Phoenix Technologies, live from the VMware Explore show floor. Dhillon returns to discuss FirmGuard, Phoenix Technologies' cutting-edge remote BIOS management and security solution, now gaining momentum among MSPs and IT professionals. FirmGuard, developed by the BIOS pioneers at Phoenix Technologies (est. 1979), is the industry's only remote BIOS management platform, offering IT teams—whether internal or managed service providers—the ability to monitor, configure, and update BIOS across diverse hardware environments (including Dell, HP, and Lenovo) from a single interface. In the conversation, Dhillon breaks down how FirmGuard addresses real-world needs, including BIOS security monitoring, enabling TPM for Windows 11 migrations, and streamlining OEM BIOS updates—tasks that were traditionally manual, fragmented, and time-consuming. While Phoenix Technologies doesn't hold a direct partnership with VMware or Broadcom, their presence at the show highlights the tool's relevance to the broader IT ecosystem. As a proven solution with exclusive capabilities, FirmGuard is positioned as a must-have in any advanced security stack, especially for channel partners and MSPs looking to enhance endpoint security. Aaron's Alley P320 / FBI drama Safety Fail: P320 Concerns The report found that the striker safety lock on the Sig Sauer P320 does not work as designed. Specifically, it indicated that the safety lock can be disabled through movement and friction, rendering it ineffective at preventing the striker from impacting a chambered round. The evaluation showed that with common movements representing those of a law enforcement officer, it is possible to disable the striker safety lock, which is supposed to be the last safety feature to prevent unintentional discharge. The report also noted issues such as wear on the sear, a ledge on the striker pin hook, and movement of the slide and components during testing, all of which could contribute to the risk of uncommanded firing. Overall, the findings suggest that the safety mechanism is unreliable and can be compromised, raising serious safety concerns about the firearm.
