We had the absolute pleasure of spending time, with a true driver of the Glass & Glazing Industry, the energetic Nicholas Bagatelos of Bagatelos Architectural Glass Systems Inc., at the 2019 GlassBuild America show. Now, we are so very excited to share those conversations as exclusive content for GlassBuild Connect 2020 in 3 parts. Please enjoy, as the we discuss the industry of architectural glass and envelope systems and as we sit down with a vanguard of our industry - Nicholas Bagatelos. Here in Part 1 of 3 we discover the beginning of the path that Nick took to establish the creed that he lives by: INNOVATION - INNOVATION - INNOVATION, and discover why he lives by that today. We get to get a peak into the early days of how the firm B.A.G.S was founded through the amazing faith & foresight of Nick's father; and how the natural balance of a brother & brother partnership blossomed. As we continue our special series of podcast's recorded live from the national AIA Expo 2019 from the Panda Windows & Door booth, we are pleased to have Michele Grace Hottel on the show. Michele is one of our top social media fans, that loves the industry of architecture and construction. Michele is a sole proprietor architect that has been practicing architect for the past +25 years, and is based out of La Mesa, CA. She embraces the natural progression of technology to enhance her business and increase her out reach. She is a very caring individual that allows her clients red carpet service on every project she is a part of. What really caught my attention with Michele is that she has a blog called: "I've never met a women architect before..." It is a blog that chases the stories and real life experiences of being a women in the field of architecture, as she pairs it with being a Mother & Wife. We actually get a special visit from her kids in the episode, as we discuss her journey - of which seems to be timed, but is really 100% coincidental. She shares her history of schooling, struggling with math at young age, but an overwhelming love for drawing & art that pushed her to the profession of architecture. We touch on the feud of "what is the real Cal Poly?" (We hope to hear from you Cal Poly peeps...in the comments.) We thank Michele for her value that she brings to the architecture industry, and for sharing her vision along the way...and joining us on the Edify Studios Podcast. Enjoy the show!! Join us for the next episode in the ‘Design Assist' podcast series, as we address ‘The Process'. The path that is traveled by few, and documented by even less than those who travel it. As we continue to explore 'The Process' within Design Assist, we discuss the traditional buyout method of a commercial project and reverse engineer it, to extract the value of driving the 3 D's: Design Intent, Dollars & Dates. We challenge the traditional path by asking for the key stakeholder, in both Engineering and Project Management, that will execute the project to become engaged from the beginning, instead of being handed a bucket of money and a hap hazard schedule to execute a project. We understand 'The Process' as (Knowing the game): From the pre-construction phase through the installation phase of the project. We openly invite you to comment, question & share this episode with your colleagues, fellow industry professional, etc....and join us at www.edify-studios.com Here at Edify Studios, the key to our success has been, and will be, to focus on 100% customer satisfaction, of which is achieved through three key tenants: PREPARATION     • COLLABORATION     • CONSISTENCY OF PROCESSES We recognize when anyone of these three tenants are void, the stability of success is eliminated. We achieve that preparation through a systemic sales process to bring a project opportunity to us, instead of chase it. - - - iTunes: http://bit.ly/EDIFYITUNES Google Play: http://bit.ly/EdifyGooglePlay Spotify: http://bit.ly/EdifySpotify - Twitter: http://bit.ly/EdifyTwitter Instagram: http://bit.ly/Edify-StudiosInsta  LinkedIn: http://bit.ly/EdifyLinkedIn  Facebook: http://bit.ly/EdifyFB - Podcast Sponsor: www.agsshade.com  - NOTE: This description contains affiliate links that allow you to find the items mentioned in this video and support the channel at no cost to you.
