Tyler Bonin is the Civics Education Specialist at the Goldwater Institute's Van Sittert Center for Constitutional Advocacy. Prior to joining the Institute, Tyler managed marketing efforts at State Policy Network and the Classic Learning Test (CLT). Casper Christensen og Dennis Jacob Hess Rosenfeld var været fra start til slut, kyndigt bakket op af Nikolaj Tarp efter nogle timer. Vi starter med en samtale om 'Bag facaden på DFI og Cinemateket', hvor vi får besøg af Rasmus Brendstrup, programredaktør i Cinemateket. Han deler indsigter fra sine snart 50 års (vi runder op) erfaring med filmprogrammering, festivaler og kulturelle arrangementer. Ved hans side er Sara Prahl fra DFI's Danmark på Film, hvor hun arbejder med at formidle dansk filmarv og gøre det tilgængeligt for et bredere publikum. Sammen taler vi om DFI og Cinematekets kulturelle rolle og de spændende projekter, de har gang i. Herefter fortsætter vi med debatten om 'Dansk børne- og ungdomsfilm i krise?'. Instruktør Jonas Risvig, kendt for ungdomsserier som Salsa og senest spillefilmen Kontra, og Mariella Harpelunde Jensen, programchef for Buster Filmfestival, diskuterer dansk børne- og ungdomsfilms aktuelle tilstand. De giver deres perspektiver på, hvad der skal til for at genoplive dansk børnefilm og bringe flere kvalitetsproduktioner til det unge publikum. Midtvejs skifter vi tempo og går over til et af aftenens mere letbenede og dog tungtslående indslag: 'Stunt Grand Prix 2024'. Her træder Nikolaj Tarp til som medvært, og sammen præsenterer vi en række vilde filmstunts, som publikum stemmer om. Selvom stunts måske ikke fungerer så godt som lydoplevelse, har vi valgt at beholde det, for at I kan få fornøjelsen af de anekdoter og diskussioner, vi knytter til hvert klip. KA-POW! Vi fortsætter aftenen med 'Skab verdens bedste film!', hvor vi sammen med publikum skaber en fiktiv film ud fra elementer fra nogle af verdens mest indtjenende film. Publikum stemmer om nøgleelementer fra klassikere som Jaws, Star Wars, Avatar og mange flere, mens Nikolaj på humoristisk vis samler det hele til et pitch for den ultimative blockbuster. Herfra af bliver aftenen mere løssluppen, når vi slipper tøjlerne på diskussionen om 'Overvurderede mesterværker II' - en snak, der går fra sjov til anstrengende, fra stimulerende til pinefuld.
