in the beginning gavin prayed, and recited scripture. the episode was determined to fail from the beginning, sin, covering the forum less and empty audio. gavin forgot to ask the anticipated question that we all live for, well maybe just me
The podcast starts, as always, with a prayer. Quickly Gavin rushes through the prayer because of some concerns of length. Sharing a popular Bible verse and the context behind it. When he finishes explains how a text, written in a prison tens-of- thousands, of years ago is encouraging two teenagers at a table and hopefully … you. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON EVERYONE, THIS IS YOUR ONE ONLY HOST IF THE SHARED VENT, COMING TO YOU LIVE FROM THE PODCAST STUDIOS. Two-hundred and twenty-two days has felt like two hundred and twenty-two days. It is so nice to be back inside your ears. A lot has changed, and that's exactly what gavin covers in today's intro. Before that, he starts off the episode in prayer, proving the point, that you can pray how you want to. gavin shares a little too much about what has happen over these two hundred days. sharing the goal of taking this pod to college, gav, says the show must go on. future episodes can include a spectrum of topics from transitioning to underwhelming surprises. what gavin hopes you takeaway from this episode, is that IT IS possible to lead yourself out of a bad situation. and thank God, we can say that. God is faithful to be with, even to the end of the days. WOOP WOOP! WHATS GOING ON EVERYONE, THIS IS YOUR ONE AND ONLY HOST OF THE SHARED VENT telling you how to be a co-host for the pod. Contact gav for business inquiries @progavin50 (ig), @progavin50 (sc) @thesharedvent@gmail.com HEY
the co-hosts start in prayer, posturing their hearts in the freedom abounding in the mighty and gracious God. gavin shares a verse from james, and later in the pod, expands on what it means to him. before meeting the cohost and asking the deep, personal, intrinsic questions, gavin does the long awaited intro. which makes the co-host raise the roof, an act, out of pure joy. victor (JeFf) shares how he got on the pod and explains his journey to the united states, bringing about an emphasis on Christianity and faith in God. The beautiful journey. gavin, then asks the significant question that deals w/ spooky fall vibez. STAY TUNED AND CONNECTED CAUSE A CHANGE MIGHT BE TAKING PLACE THAT WILL MAKE THE POD look DIFFERENT. we all have a story to share and that's the goal of TSV to share your story (how do I share my story on the pod?) (keep reading). victor surprises gavin by telling him he's only been in the states for 2 years! the coming to america invited this co-host, to Christ. in kenya, the biggest block was the people around him. teenagers who would be-little others because of their faith in God (imagine that) kids have effects on each and everyone of us. regardless of what you believe, peers can have a significant change on what you believe. victor shared about when he felt the feeling to be born again and man oh man was it a beautiful revelation. to start the journey, the winding road, the beautiful journey. the co-host talks about the immediate and later affects of being born again. that Christianity isn't a religion where people lead strict lifestyles but it's a relationship. once you act on that weird tingling feeling to come closer to God, washing your hands, you start to receive a joy that is awe-inspired. Gavin talks a bit more about the verse found in james 4:8. and victor shares the one thing that separates man from God, is sin. it repels you from the nature of God. victor drops some straight up science that defines a bit about God's character. He, God, is omnipotent. science and belief of God co-exists says the co-host. God created science but is boundless to the limits of it. the world is spacious, in time, and formable. God is the opposite, timeless, spaceless, and formless. in just over 1000 pages (the number of pages in gavin's Bible), we know the Gospel. which would be the biggest book gavin would ever read. what we know about Jesus is what God has told us in 1000 pages. there is hope that through science, and the belief in God. we are but a small pocket of wind and we get opportunities on this beautiful journey. don't settle to know what only you have been taught but do some digging for yourself. literally can't even think about how big God is.. maybe try to put that phone away or the ice cream tub down. find God. as you open yourself to God, He opened Himself to you. thank you victor, for coming on the pod. if you wanna be the next co-host reach out= you can contact gavin via any of the platforms: instagram: thesharedvent , snapchat: progavin50 gmail , thesharedvent@gmail.com and tik tok= godlovesu316 love u, peace out ✌️
Stepping into a posture that God had given him everything, Gavin sets out talking to God. THIS IS LITERALLY THE THIRD SEASON. COME ON DAWG, THAT IS AWESOME. Gavin gives a long-awaiting introduction, so set your volume to low, so you keep your ears intact. Gavin points out a brother in faith, nudged him toward God, and that is how we got here. In all humility, Gavin has no idea what is going to happen with this podcast, but he is trusting God throughout this season. (AJR song gets mentioned). Gracious hearts towards you, the listener, you don't have to listen (or read or step up and be apart of the vent) but you are. Gavin points out that without the faithful audience, he would still be doing his thing but with you, apart of it, it feels more significant. Some things have changed others have stayed the same. THE DEEP QUESTION CAME BACK, and Gavin introduced it horribly long. He tells a story about blueberries and footballs (where does that fit in, the show notes, nobody knows..) Coming back to the significance of your presence in this community, Gavin reminds you, that you are worthy, appreciate, hand knit by a God who hand knit the world. Gavin shares a myriad of verses that has helped him in his season. IT'S BEEN 4 MONTHS AND WE ARE BACK! Gavin reviews what has changed. He has a job, understands motives in wrestling with temptation and porn. He also started being more involved in social media (tik tok= @godlovesu316 , snapchat= progavin50, Instagram= thesharedvent) He talks about how he hasn't been truthful with the “break” from the podcast, he wanted to see how long he could remain away from God. And it sucked. The audience reached out constantly, and finally Gavin opened the door to where God has been all along. It's a choice to let Him in. The host didn't know what he was doing when he said he'd continue the pod, but he did it anyway. That is faith. To not know and THEN to do. He dabbled in Ecclesiastes and said heart throbbing verses that are in the Bible. Read the Bible, make your faith journey, your own. He has a few interested co-hosts so definitely get in touch, and see how you can get on. Reach out in gmail, = thesharedvent@gmail.com, or other stated social media's. The Shared Vent is a vent that is shared between all. Encompassing everyone and even you. For everyone who was made in the image of God, listens to this, even you. Starting off with a nice spoonful of gratitude, the ‘closer' of season two begins. The goal of this episode is to just hash out the season's festivities, with a few of the co-hosts. The hosts, starting with Reese, is honestly just living and having fun. Moving on to Larry, he is dealing with some stressors at work and is just steadily ripping that potato chip. Conversation includes schooling, the crazy weather, and so much more. Gavin shares his reason for the season; that Jesus suffered the many abuses not for the spiritual things we get lost in – but for us. As seasons of life transition from one to another, Gavin points out some feelings of, “not being ready”. Along with the truth that we are constantly being provided for in this transitional period. The podcast looks to be a safe landing place – home to friends pointing towards Jesus, as described in, 2 kings, even if it sounds a bit funky. As always, if you would like to be a future co-host of The Shared Vent you can contact Gavin via any of the platforms: instagram: thesharedvent snapchat: progavin50 gmail- thesharedvent@gmail.com P.S. stay tuned at the very end to hear a vacuum! Thank you. I love you, peace out! -gavin
Everyone's favorite part of the episode, the important topic, lingering in all of your thoughts all week: the important questions. As you might remember from previous episodes, these questions feature not just the commonality of simple questions, but the real...important...questions. The questions that reveal ourselves at our deepest depths. The co-host believes that cardboard is easier to swallow than a pan (does that confuse you
Welcome back to another episode of, The Shared Vent! Starting off with a prayer of consecration, the beginning of yet, another installment of this podcast. Gavin welcomes on, “LARRY” (ik ik- hold you excitement)! To further this episode, Gavin asks the co-host a very specific question in your favor. He asks this question because he knows you will get to understand where Larry is coming from. I won't give you too much information, but it has to deal with the planting of a flower! Tap the ‘play icon' now to hear more! Larry explains how he ventured his way in to the podcast (which you can do- and I must say it is so easy!). And now time for the meat of the sandwich- FUN CAR STORIES WITH LARRY! (It has a jingle to it doesn't?) Larry introduces his pleasure found in cars m, came at a very young age- within the span of a few hours Larry, himself, went from a sandbox to a Nissan car! In a more recent story, he brings up the fact that a lot of us are ‘rear wheel people' just going wherever the wind takes us. But he brings up a crucial point, found within reevaluating a situation, can bring much help to a situation! Your past experiences, other people's stories, and even the day to day can help you learn. The idea found behind ‘learning' can relate back to the workings of God. God gives us people, situations, and our last to help discern a tricky circumstance! Next up, we hear a story about the YELLOW BEAST! And the joy that can be found within drifting. We wrap it up with a quote from Noel Miller that deals with cars and monks- and getting a beautiful picture painted about what enduring patience can turn in to, namely, a huge reward factor! If you would like to be the next co-host of, ‘The Shared Vent' you can contact Gavin on snapchat: progavin50 email: thesharedvent@gmail.com instagram: @thesharedvent Enjoy the day. God bless. I love you, peace out✌️
Ventors- it has been a MINUTE! I hope you all are doing well- and if you're not- hoping this episode finds you joy in our Father! In today's episode of The Shared Vent, Gavin brings on a long-time-listener: BRAD. I know.. I know... hold your excitement. This episode dives into the book of 1st Samuel chap. 1-3. Now time for the moment all of you look forward to! The most important part of the podcast! The questions. Well listen in, cause we cover a huge descion depending upon a christmas tree's opinion of who he wants to be cut down by. Gavin also touches on his opinion of Tesla and then they get into the meat of the podcast. Brad describes how he felt inadequacy through his bout w/ depression which left him feeling ‘empty and boring'. He chose to just push it off and ‘man up'- put his self aside (which is what a lot of us do, whether we realize it or not:(). Gavin touches on an account found in Genesis while describing the fig leaf we all bear and try to hide ourselves with. Which is almost always commonly linked to an activity or a situation in which you always have enjoyed since childhood. It is talked about the loss of innocence, and even the loss of this child like, ‘childness'. If Adam and Eve had just one fig leaf per person, we feel in our day, that we might have a whole bouquet. The point of that is to know that we are all sinners, that we all fall short, but there is a God who does not try to shame and make us feel bad about ourselves, but he strengthens us and in the words of Brad, “ repair our cracks with gold!” Don't ever forget where you came from, thank God where you've been and have faith in him about where you are going! Some Figleafs from Brad was music, art, and movies. Whatever your fig leaf might be, it is not inherently bad (sort of like how a fig leaf itself, without any context is not inherently bad) but it becomes bad when we, as bearers of Christ likeness try to exclude ourselves on this one topic and not try to see God in our moments and in our days. Brad talks about his philosophy that he learned from the great, Bruce Lee, that being exactly like water. Water itself is very adaptable, so Brad is encouraging us all to be adaptable, to hear more of this tap play NOW! When it comes to a time when people have to face reality it's really hard but it is really life-giving, to embrace it and start to make a perspective shift, realize where you're at and by the grace of God may you get out of it! We all carry a burden, we all carry gold, we all fight, and we all have our story. We learn about a great band called, type o negative and it has a banger song called black no. 1 (https://youtu.be/vFwYJYl5GUQ) Johnny Kelly has really cool hair and Dracula has a surprising voice hit that link! HOW DO I GET ON THIS PODCAST! My snap is: progavin50 my Gmail is thesharedvent@gmail.con my ig is @thesharedvent God bless and I love you, peace out ✌️
Continuing with the set up of the second season, Gavin brings on one of his good friends named Maddie(snap: penguinlover272) for one great conversation! Also going along with the last episode Gavin asks some very “unique” questions to make sure the audience knows what kind of person is being brought on. Maddie opens the podcast by answering some “life” questions that don't get much attention in today's world. She continues to paint the picture of how she feels alone in large group areas with much clarity. The hosts of the podcast talk about the infamous question “how are you” and the many paths that follow afterwards. Gavin brings up the perspective shift that the world can't answer these “life” questions but the importance of bringing it back to God who had you in the first place to answer the questions. The struggles one faces makes oneself whole. It's in those moments where you face newness when something great begins. Gavin talks about the humbling change one can make about enjoying the wrestling to go back and fourth with conditions instead of feeling chained to the condition. Gradually the conversation got lovingly as the host brought up the beauty that God provides. The last season of The Shared Vent has been a beautiful ride, Gavin would like to thank each and every listener who jumped in the last season. This season of The Shared Vent is going to be a little different this time. But Gavin prays the audience finds it to be a good change. In season two Gavin plans to bring on different audience members to co-host each episode and share a little or a lot... about their own personal experiences. In this specific episode Gavin introduces Brayden (the co-host) [snap; bmcmillen21] by asking a few “interesting” questions and begins to touch on a few significant topics. Brayden shares a unique life motto he has chosen to live by and explains how he keeps it in all situations. The hosts also touch on the basis of media and technology and provides tips on how to stay grounded in the wonderful times ahead. Both hosts agree on the idea that it is important and even strengthening to face difficult situations in life that result from having lack of control. If you made it all the way to end, you're probably asking yourself how do I join. Gavin has your back. If you would like to chat with Gavin about being a future co host you can ask him on Snapchat: progavin50 or email him @ thesharedvent@gmail.com. Love you! Peace out!
Normally people do not take part in crossing the Pacific Ocean on one log. Normally people do not cross woods in far off states. In this episode of The Shared Vent, Gavin speaks about his bout with overthinking and over analyzing. With the help of some personal stories and some encouragement from friends and the Bible, Gavin provides a Giver of peace upon those who overthink. Often times thinking or analyzing are not inherently bad traits, but once they are utilized upon years and years they start to get detrimental. And that brings oneself into a season of searching which offers an escape through the life of Jesus Christ! Do you remember when you led the celebration? When the smile stuck to your face for all the hours of the day. Ohh the days, where did they go? Ohh our smile where did IT go? This frown I see below my nose is only good to catch the water below. It doesn't have to be that way. In fact, Gavin would say it has never been that way. This sense of doubt we have now leads deeper and deeper in to a deep...dark...hole. It gets scary down there. We're lost, with no where to go. Oh..oh if only I could get out of this deep... dark...hole. In this episode of The Shared Vent, Gavin speaks about how the seasons of life can be tricky and hard to identify. In fact, the season season of doubt he is dealing with seems it is no where near over, but it's no longer deep...dark...doubt... oh no. It's superior strengthening. Your perspectives forge your paths. What path are you on? What curves have you since endured? What has been taken away? Cause the buffet is awaiting straight that way.
In this episode, Gavin sheds some light on a particular difficulty he's dealt with since grade school. For years, he'd go on and on without never truly understanding what it was he was dealing with. That Confident Hope you've been searching for all your life is right in front of you. Guys it's there right now. Speak into it. Stay strong! I love you, Peace out❗️
