I was invited to play in a special curtain-raiser basketball match by the Mount Gambier Pioneers (who went on to become the 2014 SEABL Champions, mind you) in support of NAIDOC Week. The story arc would have culminated on Friday night, with the basketball match taking place at the Icehouse (the Mount Gambier Basketball Stadium) before the Pioneers' match, with me matched up against 5SE's Jase Scheidl. Unfortunately, I never got to play. For the record, the team I would have been on went on to win, so... y'know... think of how much more we would have won by had I been playing!
