Welcome to the CREEP-O-RAMA Podcast, where four sleep-deprived weirdos plummet face-first into the blood-soaked fever dream that is horror classic A Nightmare on Elm Street & A Nightmare on Elm Street: Freddy's Revenge while doing what they do best: wildly overthink horror films. Ridiculousness Includes:
Podcast Episode 290 It's been three years since we did our last “Shark Week,” and we thought it was high tide to do another. But this time with a twist– they're all horror comedies. We'll start off with “Sharktopus,” a terrible, terrible film that was good enough to spawn two sequels, “Sharktopus vs Pteracuda” and “Sharktopus vs Whalewolf,” which actually got better as the series progressed. Then we'll take a look at “Sharkenstein” and “Sharkula,” which you can probably guess all you need to know from the names alone. Finally, we'll watch “Shark Side of the Moon,” a silly sci-fi story about a colony of sharks, you guessed it, on the moon. Welcome to Shark Month! Yes that's right folks, for the month of July we will be watching shark related movies! This week Bede Jermyn, Prof. Batch and Kollin are here, no Super Marcey unfortunately - she was needed elsewhere for some reason. Kicking off Shark Month is Batch's pick of film with Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf (2015), surely this one is better than last years Cocaine Shark pick right? Right?!Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf was directed by Kevin O'Neill, it stars Casper Van Dien, Catherine Oxenberg, Sharktopus and Whalewolf! If you have never listened to a commentary before and want to watch the film along with the podcast, here is how it works. We will tell you when to press and you follow along, it is that easy! Revisit episode 446 as we play our famous Nickname Game segment!
It has been over 12 years since we put out the album Exploding Head Syndrome. That album was an important milestone for us. Positive impacts the album had for us include: -Marked our very first full length album recorded in a professional studio environment -Contained the song "Sharktopus" which is to date, our most successful song in the realm of YouTube views, with 10+ million. -Contained "Avada Kedavra" - our Steve Goodie collaboration which has 2+ million views, and won a Logan Award -Contained "Raichu a Song" - which was the #1 song on The Dr. Demento Show in 2010. -Musically hinted at the psychedelic wackiness to come, with more musical experimentation happening It was also our final album to contain song parodies. For some Nuclear Bubble Wrap fans, this album is a nostalgic, comfort listen. Others find it to be tacky and immature, with its naive and lowbrow humor. But it can't be denied that the album is important to the band's history, and is a cornerstone of the sound they are known for today. 12 years later, Needlejuice Records has decided to give this long out-of-print album a retrospective 4-CD box set treatment, with a complete remaster by Angel Hair Audio, and all of the bonus content that could be dug out of the archives from this era of the band. With this box set, you will receive the entire contents of the 2009-2012 releases from the band, warts 'n all: You Are What You Eat, Exploding Head Syndrome, and Abracadaver, plus all of the non-albums studio recordings of the time, a wealth of demos, live recordings, unreleased home recordings, and the first ever release of an experimental lo-fi album called Graze the Skylines, which was recorded at the same time as Exploding Head Syndrome and was a true foreshadowing of the musical direction to come. This track is one of the many odds and ends available on this collection: an unreleased cover of Worm Quartet's "Vampire Penguins" - recorded purely for fun with no intended release whatsoever. Pre-order the CD box set here, or get a digital download of the entire collection here.

This is the moment you've been waiting for... SHARK WEEK 2022 and that is blood in the water. Are you ready to hear our eight great and not so great shark movie reviews? Jaws 1, 2, 3-D, IV the Revenge: The Jawsmovie franchise is an American natural horror film series that started with a 1975 film that expanded into three sequels, and was based on a 1974 novel by Peter Benchley, which was inspired by the Jersey Shore shark attacks of 1916. The main subject of the saga is a great white shark, and its attacks on people in specific areas of Long Island, New York, United States and The Bahamas. The Brody family is featured in all of the films as the primary antithesis of the shark. Bait (2012) - A freak tsunami traps shoppers at a coastal Australian supermarket inside the building - along with 12-foot Great White Sharks. Deep Blue Sea (1999) - Searching for a cure to Alzheimer's disease, a group of scientists on an isolated research facility become the prey, as a trio of intelligent sharks fight back. Sky Sharks (2020) - Deep in the ice of the antarctic, a team of geologists uncover an old Nazi laboratory still intact where dark experiments had occurred. In order to conquer the world, the Nazis created modified sharks who were able to fly. Sharktopus vs Whalewolf (2015) - When a mad scientist mixes the genes of a killer whale and a wolf, it creates the Whalewolf, and it's up to Sharktopus to stop it. www.wyrdrealities.net --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/wyrd-realities/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/wyrd-realities/support
