This week on Frank's Unsolicited Advice I am joined by my friend, business partner Maryanne Owen. As we discuss a post I put up two days ago discussing friends doing business with strangers instead of friends. Do not forget to share, like, comment and share with your friends.

I call this episode eliminate the option, because I feel a lot of us go into a situation with the option of quitting, or finding something better and this takes away from actually putting the work in. I give three different examples of what I saw as a kid of three different marriages who never gave up and survived the test of time. One even dealing with addiction and never giving up on their spouse. I feel like today too many times we are more willing to give up than fight. Here lately I feel like I have been getting punched from every direction, like the Devil is trying me and there are times I felt like giving up. I am sharing this because I am sure there are others in the same shoes as me and might need to hear this. Many times we ask for more because we think we do not have enough, we do not take the job that is offered because it is not the job we want, we do not buy the house that is available because it is not the house we want and not prioritizing the goals over the wants. How we want to create generational wealth but will not save any money or sit with a person to help. We do not put the value on the things that matter instead we put them on the things that do not matter.

This new episode is about my thoughts on how being in the military or living in certain places can be like an abusive relationship. Before you jump down my throat, I have been serving in the Navy for 25 years. I do not have any regrets about joining and I would certainly do it all over again if I could. I went there with the wife to attend the Breakthrough convention for my business and company I represent WFG. I met business partners face to face that I only met through zoom. It helped me put in perspective what I need to do and also showed me my business cannot grow with out support from my family and friends. I discuss how we are programmed to not support eventually creating the crab in the barrel mentality. I learned how when you have support you can go far in life!

I recommend before going into the 2022 you should make the phone calls you have not made yet, forgive those who have hurt you, and ask for forgiveness from those you have hurt. I recorded this December 2, 2021 wanted to release this before Christmas but due to renovations in my house I was not able to post it. In this episode I discuss what the holidays mean to me. The value of the holidays and what we should really be focused on. Overtime the holidays went from the family and love of it, to gifts and value of those gifts. I want to say that I am grateful for the things I do have but also for the people I have met over the years. The biggest gift anyone is given is life, and to be able to love others. My first episode in a long time. I spoke about this topic because a friend inspired me to speak on it by her character during a situation where it could destroy anyone. She was tested by this issue but she remained positive and continued to push positivity. Please subscribe.

This episode I talk about how when we are given a message a part of it is lost in the deliverance. Whether the person delivering the message leaves parts out or tells the story to benefit themselves. With everything going on in my life I recorded this episode about two months ago. But with my recent promotion I decided to re-record it. In 2019 I checked in to my new command and sat down with my supervisor, now friend and mentor to review my record. He gave me an honest assessment and told me if I want to promote I would have to give it all I had just to have a chance. So I went back to my friends house where I was staying contemplating retiring then. But Shelly and My wife said keep pushing Frankie you can do it. So I trusted him, did everything he told me to do and the process worked. Hence why I titled this episode trust the process.

I was asked today who am i? I did not have an answer to give, but it made me think of who i am. I think at one point or another we do ask ourselves who we are and wonder what our identity is? I believe the people who figure this out reach success, whatever success is for them. This gave me the idea to record this episode. Who am I? Do you know who you are?

This episode was recorded when I came back from New Orleans, because I realized how I was not putting effort into things that matter. I would say to myself next time or when I find out if I am promoted then I will start. We are all guilty of procrastinating from time to time.

This week we discussed the Julio Jones trade to the Titans, does this make them competitors, and will it work. We discussed a list of the top 32 QB whether or not we agree with the top five or the whole list leading to a nice debate. Also discussed how since the judge ordered the names to be released of the women who are pressing charges against Deshaun Watson it has been quiet.

I decided to talk about refocusing because I know I was not focused on what I needed to be focused on. I was still allowing myself to be preoccupied by other things than focusing on what I need to do in preparation for a possible new chapter in my life. The moral of it is that we need to put the focus, attention and energy in to the next step in life understanding I cannot give something 100 percent when I am half in somewhere else.

This week we discussed a bet about who will have the better record Steeler, Patriots, Jags, or Eagles. Also other news about the NFL.

I recorded this in the midst of dealing with some emotions I did not expect to have. This is my being transparent about what I am dealing with and how I have been feeling but after my trip to New Orleans I feel better. There is nothing wrong with facing your feelings.

This episode I am talking about growth in life. I apologize for using a word on my live about two weeks ago. In my opinion you need to be able to analyze yourself and be able to recognize your flaws in order to fix them. I also talk about how we battle our demons and our vices everyday.

This week I am dedicating this episode to my mother Lillian, my wife, Sirena, Mari, Brenda and the rest of the women who I see being the best Mothers they can be. I was blessed to have a Woman who taught many things but the biggest thing is being in touch with my emotions and feelings. Who taught me how to express how i feel not being scared because I am a man. Thank you mom.
