Listen as host Amy Rodquist-Kodet, health coachwith UK HR Health and Wellness, shares a powerful tool for navigating hardship with greater meaning and compassion. In this episode, Amy introduces TranscendentReframing, a practice rooted in psychological research and personal experience that helps us shift how we carry suffering. Rather than bypassing pain, this approach invites us to name our stressors, reframe them with intention and anchor them in a larger story of connection.
12.09.25 Pt 1 - Gareth Cliff kicks off with a raw monologue on the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk – unpacking how it's shaken South Africans and rippled across the globe. Was he just a pawn in a much bigger game for simply speaking his truth? Ben adds his fiery take, fueling the debate. The show then swerves into lighter territory, celebrating the quirks of UK cuisine and wondering out loud what exactly is in Kelly Osbourne's water. The Real Network

Political commentator Mike Indian wonders why the revelations about Lord Mandelson weren't caught in the vetting process but his sacking tops a bad week for the Prime Minister. Mike says that Angela Rayner will be missed: she spoke to Labour voters who Starmer can't reach. Mike expects she will return to the cabinet within a year or so and may yet end up as the party's leader. The PM needs a deputy leadership election like a hole in the head as it will allow grievances to be aired; some are calling it a referendum on his performance. Mike also summarises what he feels should be in the autumn Budget. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

In this episode, I am sharing the process of embracing big visions and the fears that often accompany them. I start by sharing a personal anecdote from 2016 when I first received the idea to write my solo book. The initial excitement was quickly overshadowed by fear and skepticism from those around me, which led me to caution against sharing my ideas too freely. I reflect on my experience with launching my NLP coaching certification, Outspoken, where I had to build everything from scratch without any proof of concept. A mentor pointed out the difference between that experience and my current vision for Unbothered, emphasizing that now I have a supportive community that sees the potential in my vision even before I do. This support is crucial as it helps me navigate the fear and excitement that come with pursuing something new. Radical Thinking: How to See the Bigger Picture (Swift Press, 2024) is a book about how you view the world. It's about the things that shape your thoughts, from what you notice and how you interpret it, to what you assume, believe and want. It's also about how, if you think in a radical way, you can look beyond your limited view of the world to see the bigger picture. This isn't one of those books that points out why you get things wrong, or offers you a set of rules to get it 'right'. Instead, Peter Lamont (a former magician, now Professor of History and Theory of Psychology at the University of Edinburgh) takes us on a curious tour. As he looks at the things around him, he reveals how we look at everything. He discovers – in nearby streets and buildings, and quirky local history (about Sherlock Holmes, the birth of Encyclopaedia Britannica, and the original self-help book) – the things that shape how we view the world. He shows how, from a local point of view, we create a worldview. No wonder that we disagree. However, if you're curious, then you can see the bigger picture. And, in a world of urgent noise and competing truths, you can make sense of anything. In this episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Pragya sits down with Clance Laylor—Master Strength Coach, founder of LPS Athletic, creator of the Athlete Activation System, and driving force behind the Raise the Bar Foundation. Known as "The Pro Maker," Clance has spent over three decades transforming young athletes into champions across the NHL, NBA, MLB, MLS, CFL, and Olympic level. From the science of strength training to the unshakable discipline required to excel, Clance shares what truly separates the great from the good—both in sports and life. He opens up about overcoming a career-ending injury, why real coaching beats online gimmicks, how mindset can be built, and why durability matters as much as speed or power. This is a no-nonsense conversation on what it takes to win at the highest levels without losing sight of personal growth and character. About the Guest:Clance Laylor is one of only a handful of Master Strength Coaches in the world. Founder of LPS Athletic in Toronto, he has worked with top-tier athletes across professional leagues and the Olympics. He created the Athlete Activation System, a structured, measurable performance framework, and launched the Raise the Bar Foundation to support driven athletes who lack financial resources. His philosophy blends science, culture, and mentorship to develop champions in sport and in life. Key Takeaways : Discipline + Consistency = Champion: True success comes from disciplined, daily micro-progressions, not occasional big efforts. Mindset Can Be Built: Surround yourself with the right culture, habits, and mentors to develop resilience and a “can't stop, won't stop” attitude. Beware Fitness Shortcuts: Real progress requires skilled coaching, not viral trends or copy-paste programs. Execution and adaptability matter. Durability is Power: Strength is the foundation of all athletic qualities, but injury prevention is equally critical for long-term performance. Turn Setbacks into Service: Clance's career-ending injury led him to build a legacy through coaching and mentorship. Focus on Your Craft: Avoid distractions and master what you're best at—excellence attracts opportunities. Measure Everything: If you don't track your performance, you can't prove you're improving. Bigger Picture of Success: Part-time effort produces part-time results. Commitment, sacrifice, and patience build lasting achievements. Stay Grounded During Delays: Reflect on your progress, minimize social media distractions, and focus on doing everything in your power. Legacy Through Giving Back: The Raise the Bar Foundation empowers hard-working athletes to pursue their dreams regardless of financial barriers. After the arrest of comedian Graham Linehan for social media comments, Professor Tim Evans of Middlesex University says we cannot go on behaving like this and expect our friends in the United States to go on supporting us in our quest for a free sociey. We are humiliating ourselves internationally and spiralling into a broader delegitimation crisis. Argentinian President Milei calls himself an anarcho-capitalist. But what is that? Tim explains a world of scholarship dating back over 150 years. And with the Tories so low in the polls, distrusted and in no man's land, he asks if the Conservative Party might already have died. The legacy media loves to pat itself on the back for finally covering Jeffrey Epstein once he was arrested in 2019, but the truth is, they missed the story for decades—and that failure wasn't accidental. For years, major outlets treated Epstein as a quirky billionaire with “mystery wealth” instead of digging into how he made his fortune, who enabled him, and what exactly was going on inside his homes and on his island. Even when survivors spoke out, their voices were buried, sidelined, or reduced to gossip-page fodder. The press had access, the resources, and the evidence, but time and again they chose not to connect the dots. They focused on lurid details only after Epstein became too toxic to ignore, all while ignoring the structural rot that allowed him to thrive. What's worse is how the media continues to miss the big picture even now. Instead of relentless investigation into Epstein's financial networks, intelligence ties, or the power players who shielded him, they've defaulted to shallow narratives, quick-hit headlines, and recycled speculation about “lists” and celebrity gossip. By narrowing the lens to scandal and personality, the press shields the institutions that made Epstein possible: banks, universities, government agencies, and the so-called justice system that protected him. This isn't just incompetence; it's complicity. The media's failure has given cover to the powerful and left survivors fighting to tell the truth on their own. They didn't just miss the story—they helped bury it.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:‘He used people': Jeffrey Epstein scandal rolls on as new names emerge | Jeffrey Epstein | The GuardianBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

With Keir Starmer replacing his PPS, the third senior member of staff to leave, political commentator Mike Indian says it gives an impression of ineffectiveness and fosters a bunker mentality at the government's heart. Now that Reform is having to put meat on the bones of policies with its deportation plan, Labour must address the small boats problem. Although the Budget will now be largely written, Mike's advice is for the Chancellor to be bold and use a wealth tax to pay down debt and encourage people to save for their grandchildren's future and help bring down the cost of living. In this episode of The Mel K Show, I welcome back one of the most fearless investigative journalists working today, Derrick Broze. Derrick has dedicated years to exposing the real structures of power that shape our world, and he joins me to talk about his groundbreaking docuseries, The Pyramid of Power. This series is unlike anything else out there because it takes the viewer step-by-step through the layers of influence and control that impact our daily lives. Derrick began this project in 2020 with the goal of creating a concise, binge-worthy educational resource that blends original investigative work with the best research already available. Drawing from respected books, credible reports, and top-tier documentaries, The Pyramid of Power distills an overwhelming amount of information into accessible 30–35 minute episodes. Now, five years later, the series is reaching its conclusion with Episode 17. The first 16 episodes are already available for free at thepyramidofpower.net, making it possible for anyone to watch and understand the full scope of the work. The journey begins with foundational topics like education, media, and technology, then builds toward more complex and deeply entrenched systems of influence. By the time you finish the series, you will see the world differently and ask questions you might never have considered before. Derrick explains that his approach is not about theory but about fact-based, verifiable evidence. He treats The Pyramid of Power like a true crime investigation because in many ways that is exactly what it is. Each episode is meticulously sourced so that viewers can follow the trail of evidence for themselves. We discuss how the series is designed to reach a wide audience, including younger generations accustomed to streaming platforms. Derrick wanted the episodes to be both educational and engaging so people could watch them back-to-back and absorb the full picture in a way that sticks. What makes this project so important is that it connects the dots across multiple industries and institutions, showing how they work together to centralize control. This is not about partisan politics. It is about recognizing the players, the structures, and the methods that keep the average citizen uninformed and distracted. Here is what you will learn in this episode: What The Pyramid of Power series covers and how it is structured Why it is essential to use documented, verifiable sources in investigative journalism How education, media, and technology serve as foundational layers of influence Why understanding these power structures is critical for informed citizenship How you can watch all 16 existing episodes for free and prepare for the finale This conversation is an invitation to learn, question, and think critically about the systems around us. Derrick Broze has done the hard work of researching, compiling, and presenting the evidence. All you have to do is watch, listen, and decide for yourself. Knowledge is power, and The Pyramid of Power is a rare opportunity to see the world with new eyes. Watch Ep. 17. Vol 1. Professor Tim Evans of Middlesex University looks at the increasingly farcical row over cryptography. As so often, the new bill's unintended consequence could leave the UK's young people even more susceptible to malign influences. He is fascinated by Nowcast's poll putting the Conservatives behind the Greens and SNP. Could we be returning to the 19th century conservative vs liberal political picture? And despite what some commentators say, Tim believes that the UK's current financial predicament is far worse than in the 1970s and that a bond crisis could come upon us out of the blue. In the fast-paced, purpose-driven world of nonprofit leadership, it's easy to get caught up in the daily grind—budgets, meetings, grant deadlines, and community demands. But amidst the to-do lists and strategic plans, it's vital for leaders to step back and see the big picture. That's where the power of a vision board comes in.
Welcome to BanklessTV, featuring Peter Van Valkenburgh from Coin Center and David Morris of The Rage, freshly back from the SDNY courtroom with the inside scoop on the Roman Storm verdict. In this episode we unpack the split decision—how Storm beat the money-laundering and sanctions-evasion counts yet was found guilty on the hot-button “unlicensed money-transmission” charge—and what that single conviction means for every non-custodial developer in crypto. Peter breaks down the legal tightrope between FinCEN guidance and DOJ prosecution, outlines three clear appeal paths (including the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act), and explains why Roman's case could still become a rallying point for financial-privacy legislation. David shares firsthand color from the trial: jury deadlocks, high-stakes witness drama, and the emotional moment Storm walked free to see his daughter. Join us to hear why this verdict is both a wake-up call and an opportunity, what Congress, the courts, and the next administration might do next, and how the outcome could reshape DeFi, privacy tech, and open-source innovation for years to come. ------

The US June trade balance is due—measuring both goods and services. For some bilateral relationships (e.g. trade with the EU), the US goods deficit is almost entirely offset by a services surplus. Goods export patterns have been distorted by the anticipation of trade taxes, and to some extent by boycotts of US goods. It is unlikely that there will be any evidence of tariffs transforming the US into an export powerhouse.
