November 21, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 53 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare to play the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field. Alex and I start this show by looking at the Steelers' Thursday injury report and specifically, what the current outlook is for QB Aaron Rodgers, RB Jaylen Warren, and OLB Alex Highsmith. We discuss the contraption that Rodgers wore on his injured left wrist on Thursday and he reportedly looked as a limited practice participant. We move forward from Pittsburgh's injury report heading into Friday to look briefly at the injured players that Chicago is currently dealing with. On Thursday, we once again heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions. We discuss Smith possibly adding a wrinkle to the team's version of the tush push, how he feels about using RB Jaylen Warren and RB Kenneth Gainwell in any situation, and what it would take for rookie RB Kaleb Johnson to get more touches moving forward. As for Austin's Thursday comments, we discuss what he had to say about CB Cory Trice Jr. now being out for the rest of the season. We also talk about what Austin had to say about OLB Nick Herbig and OLB Jack Sawyer. We also go over Austin's thoughts on preparing to defend against Bears QB Caleb Williams on Sunday in Chicago. We welcome Adam Hoge of All City as a first timer to the show on Friday, and he helps us preview the Steelers-Bears game. Hoge has covered the Bears for many seasons, and he certainly knows that team inside and out. We get his thoughts on several things related to the Sunday afternoon game in Chicago and that includes his analysis of Williams and new HC Ben Johnson. Adam fills us in on the Bears' injuries, how CB Jaylon Johnson might be back this week and the impact that could potentially have. We also get his thoughts on Rodgers potentially playing on Sunday against the Bears, a team that he has a lot of history and success against dating back to when he was the longtime quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. Adam talks about the Bears' offense and defense quite a bit in this interview, and we get his not-yet-set-in-stone prediction for the Sunday game at the end of the interview. If not already doing so, make sure to follow Adam on X/Twitter at @adamhoge and make sure to read his work here: https://allchgo.com/author/hogejahnsauthor/. After finishing with Hoge, Alex and I provide our own preview of the Steelers-Bears game. We break down what we are looking for out of each team on both sides of the football Sunday afternoon. Alex and I then give our picks against the spread for the remainder of the Week 12 NFL games provided by show sponsor MyBookie.ag. We also give our final score predictions for the Steelers-Bears game. This 135-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted above and we end this episode by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. On the Friday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise to discuss the surprising popularity of Steelers backup QBs Will Howard and Mason Rudolph. Why are some fans so eager to see both with future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers in place as the starter? Is there any world where Howard, a rookie, is ready for meaningful NFL snaps if Rodgers can't play in NFL Week 12 because of his injury? What is his upside at the NFL level? And why have some fans moved on so quickly from Rudolph's struggles that they lamented early in his career as the backup to Ben Roethlisberger? Our duo tackles those questions, plus some AFC North topics. Will Steelers fans regret the team not taking Shedeur Sanders in the NFL draft if he thrives in his first start for the Browns? Are the Bengals a bad team even if Joe Burrow is able to return at some point this season? And are Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and the Ravens really as dangerous to the Steelers in division race as some perceive them to be? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it's the narratives surrounding the recent performance of quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers wasn't great before leaving last week's win over the Cincinnati Bengals at halftime, but he wasn't as bad as he had been the previous week, either. Back up Mason Rudolph only slightly performed better, and most of that was do to his receivers running after the catch. Is there really a lot that Rodgers could be learning from Rudolph if he is unable to play against the Chicago Bears this Sunday? Alan breaks it down. Learn more about your ad choices. Perhaps the Bears' best player could make his return against the Steelers on Sunday. Dan Wiederer and Mark Grote kick off this episode by reacting to the news that star cornerback Jaylon Johnson was a full participant in practice Thursday. Also, the Bears still aren't sure if Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play as he deals with a left wrist injury. If he does, it's a welcome opportunity for Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, who has always admired the way Rodgers plays. The Otherside: Mark Carman joins the show to give the perspective of the Bears. He thinks he is losing the Carman war between himself and Ken Carman. His appearance on The PM Team is the pinnacle of his week, he says. The Bears defense is banged up, even if Rodgers is not healthy, how big of a deal is that?
Fair Game with Nick Farabaugh. Who does Nick think will start for the Steelers this Sunday? Nick says that it would take a lot for Rodgers not to play and would not have that short of a leash. If he was to have a short leash, Farabaugh says that they would just make him inactive. There seems to be concern about the status of Cam Heyward.
Mike Tomlin spoke moments before the guys took the air and said that "we will see how it goes" when it comes to Aaron Rodgers' health for the game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Rodgers is still listed as 'questionable'. Who will start on Sunday: Rodgers or Mason Rudolph? Both Poni and Mueller say that they think Rodgers will play.
RJ bell, Steve Fezzik and Mackenzie Rivers talk NFL betting for Week 12. Best bets as always. In this Week 12 NFL betting podcast, RJ Bell, Steve Fezzik, and Mackenzie Rivers break down matchups, trends, props, and power ratings while debating quarterback value, team motivation, weather effects, and market movement. RJ opens by promoting a 90-day all-access package and highlighting recent hot handicappers. Fezzik's best bet is Raiders team total over 19.5, citing Cleveland's historically poor road-defense scoring prevention and likely short-field opportunities created by rookie QB Sanders' turnover risk. RJ and Mackenzie evaluate low totals, weather, and historical under trends but agree the Raiders angle is stronger than the full-game over. RJ's best bet is Colts +3.5 vs Kansas City, arguing the teams are essentially equal in yards per play, success rate, and win-probability metrics, with KC overrated due to legacy bias and declining defensive performance. Fezzik adds Colts to score first at plus money due to coin-toss tendencies. Mackenzie's best bet is Lions -10 over the Giants, supported by Dan Campbell's elite ATS record off a loss, the Giants' league-worst run defense, and favorable matchups for Detroit's run game. Fezzik adds Lions team total over 30.5 and an SGP on Gibbs and Montgomery rushing overs. RJ also bets Falcons +2 vs the Saints, believing market overreacted to Kirk Cousins' injury perception and that Atlanta's roster, motivation, and power ratings remain stronger than New Orleans', which may be slipping into tank mode. Later, Fezzik plays Chase Brown under 60.5 rush yards due to expected shotgun-heavy Bengals offense with Burrow limited by turf toe and a strong Patriots run defense. The crew discusses Chicago-Pittsburgh, with RJ making his play contingent: if Rodgers starts, he likes the Bears; if Rudolph starts, he likes the over. They examine Jets-Ravens, Seahawks-Titans, Vikings-Packers, Jaguars-Cardinals, Raiders-Browns, Cowboys-Eagles, Rams-Buccaneers, and broader power-rating tiers, highlighting turnover luck, declining offenses, evolving defenses, team fatigue, coaching signals, and motivational windows. They close by summarizing all official picks and reinforcing that several favorites may be inflated while injured QBs, travel spots, and disguised regression points create value on selected dogs, overs, and player props. We discuss what led to this game looking completely different than their last matchup against the Bengals a month ago. We also talk about James Pierre, the RB committee, Aaron Rodgers' sluggish first half and more. Next we discuss Mason Rudolph's impressive second half, and whether or not he should start given Rodgers' left wrist injury. We each give our prediction for who will play on Saturday. For the final topic, we preview the Bears game with matchups to watch, injury news, and something that may favor the Steelers' defense in a big way. The crew opens the day still worked up over Mike McDaniel's 4th-and-1 gamble in Madrid before shifting to Jimmy Butler's low-key Miami appearance and Bam's quiet jab, with Leroy stepping in to diagnose the Dolphins' slow starts. Tobin then goes on a full rant about Steve Kerr, recoils at a bizarre birthday message from Skip Bayless, and faces more disbelief over his infamous snake tale, all while Brittney jumps in with her Dancing With the Stars breakdown and the show reacts to fresh sound from Mahomes, Rodgers, and Spo. Hour three brings “evidence” of Tobin's barely-audible boo aimed at Jimmy Butler, more interrogation about his snake saga, and a spirited round of Goosies or No Goosies that sends him spiraling when Leroy insists he doesn't hate Aaron Rodgers. The show closes at peak chaos: Tobin celebrating Vice Night at Kaseya Center, Spo's thoughts on beating the Warriors, and a round of laughs at Leroy's expense after AI slander leaves him salty—all while the silly sauce hits maximum strength.

Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Brian Batko and Ray Fittipaldo report from the team's practice facility ahead of an NFL Week 12 matchup with the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. Or will Mason Rudolph get the nod as Rodgers continues to recover from a broken wrist? Our duo tackles those questions for coach Mike Tomlin and OC Arthur Smith. Then ponders the future for Cory Trice Jr., who failed activation from injured reserve; and James Pierre's role at cornerback with Darius Slay returning from injury. Hour 4 with Bob Pompeani: L.C. Greenwood is a semifinalist for the Class of 2026 in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Aaron Rodgers explained how he loves playing the Bears. Jeff is with Pitt basketball to announce Pitt-UCF. The ACC isn't deep and outside of Duke, there are a lot of question marks. If Mason Rudolph has to start, Jeff doesn't think it's that much of a drop off from the first couple weeks of the season.
93.7 The Fan's Jeff Hathhorn comes on The Fan Hotline to talk about the latest in Pittsburgh sports, including previewing the upcoming Steelers' game on Sunday and looking ahead at the upcoming games for Pitt football and Pitt men's basketball.
Steve Palazzolo from the 33rd Team joined the show. Steve said he would rate Aaron Rodgers a 5.5/10 right now and Mason Rudolph a 4.5/10 – answering the same question Poni asked Pomp in the 3 pm hour. Steve isn't convinced Rodgers is playing better football than Ben Roethlisberger did in his last couple years. Steve described Rodgers as ‘a tick off' in his last few games. How good has the Steelers offensive line been in protection of Rodgers? Steve isn't sure why Darius Slay would go right back into the Steelers lineup. Does Steve think the Steelers should have regret trading George Pickens? The guys asked Steve how good Darnell Washington has been and what kind of potential he has at over 300 pounds. Steve picked the Steelers to beat the Bears, sighting how lucky Chicago has been.
Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray said it's a ‘better than 50% chance' that Aaron Rodgers plays on Sunday. The guys asked Ray if Rodgers would be pushing to play if they weren't in Chicago this weekend. How much of a gap exists between Rodgers and Mason Rudolph right now? Ray said Rudolph has been ‘money' since that rough patch he hit in his second season back in 2019. Ray thinks there is a realistic chance Rudolph is the Week 1 starter in 2026. Ray said the coaches are really confident in James Pierre after his last few games, so the leash on Darius Slay won't be too long, assuming he gets the start. Is Jonnu Smith getting more snaps because he's a favorite of Arthur Smith? Ray thinks Roman Wilson is slowly gaining the trust of Rodgers and the coaching staff. Ray wouldn't be stunned if Kenneth Gainwell gets more touches than Jaylen Warren on Sunday. How does Ray think the Steelers stack up with the rest of the AFC right now? Ray has a feeling the Steelers win.

The Bills and Texans kick off Week 12 of the NFL season tonight – 2 teams that were projected to win their division in the AFC. In fact, none of the preseason favorites to win their division are currently leading in the AFC. Is the AFC there for the taking? Poni doesn't think any of the typical conference powers are as scary this season. There's a real chance the Chiefs miss the playoffs completely. The guys think Mike Tomlin would be comfortable playing any team in the AFC right now. Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. November 19, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 52 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers making a few transactions since our last show with one of those being the signing of QB/WR John Rhys Plumlee back to the practice squad on Tuesday. We talk about why Plumlee was likely added to the practice squad in addition to discussing why five other players were brough in for tryouts on Tuesday. Alex and I then go over the list of injured players the Steelers have heading into Week 12 with QB Aaron Rodgers obviously being our main focus due to a fracture of some kind in his left wrist. We discuss what all HC Mike Tomlin had to say on Tuesday about Rodgers possibly playing on Sunday against the Chicago Bears and whether our gut feelings tell us when it comes to that possibly happening. Should the Steelers strongly consider starting QB Mason Rudolph against the Bears regardless of what transpires this week with Rodgers? Alex and I attack that question in this show and also talk about the possibility of Rodgers being the backup on Sunday against the Bears. We also talk a little about rookie QB Will Howard possibly getting a few first-team reps this week with Rodgers slowed by injury. As usual, Alex and I parse all of the notable talking points that came out of Tomlin Tuesday. We discuss what Tomlin had to say about playing time on Sunday for CB Darius Slay and CB James Pierre and if indeed the former will wind up resuming as the starter against the Bears if he clears concussion protocol this week. We discuss what playing time on Sunday might and should look like on Sunday against the Bears when it comes to both Slay and Pierre. Tomlin talked some about TE Darnell Washington and his usage in the offense on Tuesday, so we make sure to dive a bit deeper into those comments. We also talk about what Tomlin had to say about the reaction S Jalen Ramsey had to Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase spitting on him in the second half of the Week 11 Sunday game at Acrisure Stadium. With Chase having his one-game suspension upheld on Tuesday as part of his appeal process, Alex and I address what should happen to every player that spits on another player during a game and how the NFL needs to take a more defined punishment stance moving forward. With the All-22 tape from the Steelers' Sunday home win against the Bengals now fully digested by us, Alex and I discuss the good, bad and ugly that we uncovered from that. We start with the defense and go over how that unit effectively did against the pass on Sunday and the changes that we have seen schematically the last several weeks with Ramsey and Kyle Dugger now manning the two safety positions. We also discuss the three outside linebacker packages the Steelers used on Sunday against the Bengals and how effective that was. After talking about the defensive play on Sunday, Alex and I move on to talk some about what we saw from the Steelers offense on the all-22 tape from the game against the Bengals. We were both less enthused when it came to that side of the football and we explain why. We also wonder if Rudolph might try to push the football down the field more on Sunday against the Bears should he indeed get the start in that contest over the injured Rodgers. Alex and I mix in quite a few tape observations during this show and we make sure to discuss the recent play of several different players as well. Alex previews a tape study that he is working on when it comes to Steelers DT Keeanu Benton as well. This 110-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. He also discussed the chances of Rodgers playing against the Bears on Sunday.
Marshall Harris and Clay Harbor were joined by FS1 host Danny Parkins, who explained why he badly wants to see Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers play against the Bears on Sunday. Rodgers has a fracture in his left wrist, putting his status in doubt.
