What makes your heart beat? Have you ever asked yourself this question before? There are many things that make the heart beat faster. Aside from the change in the pace, emotions are tied to each beat creating new memories. Some are fleeting moments that soon get forgotten in time. Some leave emotional imprints on the soul and become a piece of what makes us who we are today. We make choices based off of these imprints. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but nonetheless a choice is made. For every beat we have, let it be a reminder that we are alive and always capable to make our heart anew.

As we dive into the start of our summer season here on the east coast, there is a lighter feeling of excitement and joy when thinking about the memories that shaped our summers growing up. Whether vacationing “Down the Shore” or camping in the woods, the common feeling is family, happiness, and memories forever frozen in time. Summer seems to have this shared sentiment. The adventures and stories may be different but the impact remains forever. So much so, that we choose to carry the traditions on in hope to relive or rekindle that old summertime freeness. Perhaps you have a story to share or a summertime tradition you continue to keep alive. Share it with a friend, a loved one, a stranger, or comment it on our Instagram, @WMTHBpodcast! Even better, ask someone about their summer memories! It might have been a long time since they last thought about them…
Mama Drama will be an umbrella for the vast array of topics that fall beneath its wings. In this segment we discuss how the perception of parenthood is not a mirror image to the thought, but a growth of self and acceptance. You'll hear about our not-so-picture-perfect birthing stories, to the challenges of becoming a parent, all the way to how we can now- periodically reclaim the carefreeness we had before we became parents. Remember listeners, relating isn't always about sharing the same experience. Learning about each others challenges and perceptions helps us see life through different lenses. Whether you are a parent or have a parent, we hope that our stories help spark thoughts and conversations within your circle of life. Your story might be the one to help someone else feel understood.
Beauty standards have shifted and changed for hundreds of years. Every culture and every human has its own perception of beauty. But what controls the beauty standard in a single culture? Moriah and katie explore their thoughts and indulge in some laughter upon self discovery. Beauty is where is it has always been, within. We can use fashion as a tool to showcase and honor our beauty, but chasing the fashion to feel beautiful is more like filling a void. Luckily technology has helped a lot in reminding us that we are in control. Let your beauty standard be a reflection of the person you are inside.
Welcome back to our 3rd season! Katie and Moriah are happy to start their first episode discussing their struggles with tidiness vs insta worthy. Questioning whether any of this mess is even necessary. Minimalism sounds a little less overwhelming than clutter. But lets say you are by nature a minimalist. What is it that you live for? What will you leave behind in place of your belongings? What will you take with you when its time to go?
Our podcast's third Season is about to kick off with "What Makes the Heart Beat.” Katie and Moriah are bringing back those feel good/get real” topics. Got twenty minutes? Take a listen! Follow to stay up to date on new episodes coming soon!
What's your squash? For example, what are you saying, thinking, and doing differently now than 10 years ago? Every 10 years or so we go through a transition, a growth. Sometimes it smacks us in the face. Other times it creeps up on us and without realizing it, we have changed. We go from playing on playgrounds endlessly, to dancing our hearts out to the last song of the night wishing for it not to be over. Then, fast forward another 10 years and we're cozied up on the couch or in bed by 10pm just as content as the little kid on that playground. Our lives change. We change. Our interests and desires change. And it's ok. Talk about it, laugh about it, LOVE it. We are growing! Katie and Moriah are here to listen. We'd love to hear all about your squash!

Come along with us as we talk about the subject of sex and how it somehow triggers thoughts of first period experiences too! Facebook was created with the intention to connect people from the past and present. Giving an outlet for people to socialize, network and share their story with one another. Social media in general has made a huge influence and impact on how the world functions. What started off as an extension of another form of communicating, has now become the predominant way we communicate, via the internet. We have mixed our general form of communication with advertising, art, political stance, personal life, work life, and more. We take our personal feelings, photos and beliefs and place them on a News feed.. did you ever realize that this form of communication was going to be everyone's literal daily news update? Does social media add a silent pressure or anxiety to your life in any way? Join us as we talk about our personal Facebook/social media anxieties and how we can overcome them.
Whether you have one best friend or five, we hope that you take a moment to think about all the special friendships in your life. “Who knew that collecting best friends could mean that you are honoring and acknowledging the special something that each friendship brings into your life.” -Moriah “Every one of my best friends comes from a special time in my life. We went through something so real together, that our bond becomes strong. Maybe we went to the same high school, or lived in a new city together. These experiences we have with our best friends connect us for life.” -Katie Sah
