Warning: This episode contains spoilers for Episode One of the Fourth Season of Sherlock. "Sherlock’s" Molly Hooper has gone from being somewhat of a joke to a fan favorite. She has gotten to slap and kiss Sherlock Holmes; we’ve even seen her portrayed as a mustachioed, Victorian doctor in “The Abominable Bride.” So, how will Molly Hooper surprise us next? Actor Louise Brealey discusses her quirky character and teases Season 4 just in time for the January 1st "Sherlock" premiere.
Monty Ashley wages a garbled battle against Batman being the world’s greatest detective, Glenn recounts an instance of his ratiocination (Holmsing), an Abominable Bride impossible situation (no spoilers), and Holmes-like detectives, who are legion. Glenn Fleishman with David J. Loehr, Monty Ashley and Shannon Sudderth.
WELCOME to Episode 4 of SHERLOCK BROLMES. And this time it’s CUMBERBATCH… We, the Brothers Nash, are big fans of “SHERLOCK HOLMES”, especially the classic Jeremy Brett TV series. But we also very much like the modern-day “SHERLOCK”… So we forced ourselves to watch the long-awaited Victorian special repeatedly over the grim first days of 2016. Then we talked about it. … Continue reading EP 4 – Sherlock Brolmes – The Abominable Bride

HAPPY NEW YEAR! MUTTER'S SPIRAL Podcast is back, and since it's an even-numbered year, that means SHERLOCK is back, too! "The Abominable Bride" returns Sherlock, Watson, Mary, Molly, Lestrade, Mrs. Hudson, Mycroft & Moriarty to our screens FINALLY! It's a very fun and inception-y episode with parts both in the 1890s (Traditional Sherlock Holmes stomping grounds) and modern day, following the end of S3 while also veering off fancifully! John & Will discuss it fully - what they really liked, what they really did not like (Will has some issues, so much so that he can't finish a sentence), but just generally exalt in the return of Holmes & Watson to our screens. Plus, there's trivia! Please have a listen!
Phil talks to Jon Blum about the Abominable Bride and then interviews the hell out of him.

After a brief holiday break, we're back to play catch-up and discuss everything we did over the holidays – from playing Final Fantasy XIV online, to catching up on TV Shows like The Flash, to seeing The Hateful Eight 70mm roadshow in theatres. Sean reviews the Sherlock special, “The Abominable Bride,” and to round things off, we provide our customary review and discussion of the Doctor Who Christmas special, “The Husbands of River Song.” Enjoy!
!!!THIS PODCAST AND FOLLOWING POSTING CONTAINS SPOILERS!!! If you have not seen the Sherlock special The Abominable Bride, do not read or listen because there is no saving you from all the spoilers. This is your final warning! We mean it! The Abominable Bride is here and she's taking no prisoners. We're transported back to Victorian London, Holmes' actual home, on a whirlwind journey through the life and misadventures of one great detective and his stalwart friend, Dr. Watson. From their first meeting to crimes both dangerous and grim ("the dog one!"), we're shuttled through a flurry of the short stories and novels until we come to The Bride. We expected, perhaps, an homage to the Victorian canon and instead got something unexpected and wonderful: a psychological look at Sherlock himself. We see how he perceives himself, others around him, and the mysteries he and John solve as a swirl of mysterious fog laden adventures under the gaslight streets of late 19th century London. While we have lots of praise, there's critique as well, and plenty of discussion about what The Abominable Bride means in the grander scheme of Series 3. It's wonderful.
It's a Christmas miracle! After years of waiting, we get a little fix of "Sherlock" with "The Abominable Bride." Ann & James recap the Christmas special and talk time travel, women's rights and what's coming in Season Four of one of our favorite fandoms.
Sherlock is back! Well...sort of. In an alternate take on the hit BBC show, Sherlock and Watson must solve the case of the Abominable Bride - the supposed ghost of a scorned wife that is on a murder spree...but Sherlock is convinced ghosts don't exist. Even though all the evidence points to the contrary! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/sotocast/support
