Cohoes Mayor Bill Keeler is proposing to enact a Local Law that would tax the income received by Norlite LLC for its treatment and disposal of hazardous waste. The proposal will be discussed at the next scheduled Cohoes Common Council Workshop, December 8th. Norlite makes annual property, water, and sewer tax payments to the City of Cohoes. In addition, beginning in 2012, Norlite had paid a monthly voluntary contribution totaling $100,000 annually to the City of Cohoes, which went to the General Fund to support basic operations of the city. However, Norlite stopped making those payments in March 2020, having paid a total of $16,667 this year. The public can attend a workshop on Mayor Keeler’s proposal to tax Norlite’s hazardous waste revenue at a meeting of the Cohoes Common Council on Tuesday, December 8th at 7pm, at Cohoes City Hall. National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed on Keeler in the Morning, hosted by Bill Keeler (and entourage), on WXUR, 92.7 The Drive, in Utica, New York, on January 12, 2010, to discuss issues pertaining to polygamy. While also being humorous for the show, the host and entourage were consistently positive. Because the town of Oneida, New York, is nearby to the station, the host brought up the historic "Oneida Community," known from the 1800s as a "free love community." Mark Henkel clarified that that concept is not the same as modern UCAP, Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy. The interview went so well that, at one point, the host even declared, "I think, deep down, most women, and I say most not all, deep down, most women would truly like this polygamy thing." Mark Henkel immediately affirmed, "It is actually a very pro-woman thing," and then he cited examples. Some of these guys are pretty reasonable politicians and I have followed many of them for many years. Now they have gone off the frigging tracks. They called the citizens of the Mohawk Valley some pretty aggressive and insulting names and also threw Cuomo under the bus. They did so very casually because they fear his wrath and his fortune.
