Unser echter  Höhepunkt in Alkmaar ist der traditonelle Käsemarkt, der im Sommerhalbjahr jeden Freitag über den Hauptplatz geht Denise Berkeveld vom Tourismusbüro dieser Region und viele Protagonisten erklären uns das besondere Schauspiel. Wir sprechen zum Beispiel mit Käseträger Bopp, mit Käse-Prüfmeistern, mit dem Käse-Vater oder auch mit dem Altmeister der Käseträger Kees über die historische Gilde. Im Neder-Restaurant neutralisieren wir unseren Gaumen bei einer winzigen kulinarischen Überraschung: Kohlrabi wird hier vom Geschmack zu einem Ochsenbäckchen. Das Konzept der Produkte, die ausschließlich aus den Niederlanden stammen, erklärt uns Restaurant-Chef Bryan. Durch das älteste Gemüse-Auktionshaus der Welt, „BroekerVeiling“, führen uns Kees auf dem Boot und Auktionator Marius in der historischen Versteigerungshalle. Von der Künstlergemeinde Bergen schwärmt die Zugereiste Marion in höchsten Tönen. Durch das Kloster "Abdij van Egmond" führt uns Bart und Brauerei-Chef Arion erklärt, wie das geistreiche Erbe der Mönche bei ihm zu edlem Gerstensaft verarbeitet und damit die Tradition bewahrt wird. Die Verbindung von Kloster und Brauerei stellt auch Elbert noch einmal her. Unser Basis-Camp ist das Hotel Zuiderluin in Egmond aan Zee, nur wenige Schritte vom Nordsee-Strand entfernt. Wir wünschen viel Spaß mit dieser Radioreise aus dem "Hart van Noord-Holland".
