They started on a life-changing whole food, plant-based adventure back in June 2018. This led to a YouTube channel called “Krocks In The Kitchen,” where they have shared plant-based recipes, laughs, tears and so much more over the years. In June 2022, their lives were flipped upside-down when Jessica was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer at age 36. Treatment would include two major surgeries and six rounds of chemo, but that didn't stop the couple from pursuing their dream of being parents. In October 2023, they welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby girl, via gestational carrier. Just when it seemed things were settling down, in May 2024, their lives took another major turn when Brian was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma at age 41. Even with all of these bumps in the road, they have continued to maintain a (mostly) positive outlook on life and allowed the hard times to strengthen their marriage. They hope to continue spreading positivity in the plant-based community and beyond for years to come.

CHRIS BOOKER BIOChris Booker was born and raised in West Virginia and got his big start in radio in 1989 while attending West Liberty University in Wheeling, West Virginia. In 1992, he began his self-described "gypsy years radio tour," where he held the positions of on-air personality and music director at a number of different stations as both Chris Booker and Booker Madison in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Florence, Kansas City, and Pittsburgh. In 1996, he landed the evening slot at 92.3 K-Rock in New York City, where he met the nation's top radio talk show host, Howard Stern, who made the young DJ a regular on his program. He made numerous appearances on Howard Stern's show under the name "Booger." Booker left K-Rock in 2003 for the morning drive show on the "Blink" version of WNEW. When that format failed and the show was taken off the air, Booker then worked at Sirius Satellite Radio as morning host for Octane Radio. Booker was then hired at New York Top forty (WHTZ) "Z100" as a fill-in host. Booker eventually found his way back to K-Rock in 2005, where his show aired in the afternoon until the format was changed to "Free FM" talk. His producer and on-air collaborator at the time was Al Dukes. On January 3, 2006, Booker's "new" radio show (carrying over many of the same elements and players as his afternoon drive rock show) titled The Booker Show debuted from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The show aired on Monday-Thursday, and 7-10 p.m. on Fridays at WFNY-FM (92.3 Free-FM).On May 23, 2008, Booker was fired as the morning show host on "Q102" in Philly (but was still considered an employee of "Q102", due to contractual reasons).Booker has worked as a correspondent for TV Guide Channel covering red carpet events. From 2000 to 2003, Booker was a full-time VJ for MTV and MTV2, hosting such shows as The Return of the Rock, First Listen with Britney Spears, and was the final host for the now defunct series 120 Minutes. From 2003 to 2004, Booker was the New York correspondent for Entertainment Tonight.Since July 2015, Chris Booker and Perez Hilton have hosted a weekly podcast named The Perez Hilton Podcast with Chris Booker According to Billboard, the two met on Amp Radio where Booker hosted "Morning Show on L.A. Top 40" and also appeared on Carson Daly's show" The podcast covers trending stories in the world of show business, interviews with celebrities and interesting personalities, and more. "Behind the Scenes with Michael Lombardo: Banking on an Incredible Rock Boat XXIII" Welcome back, fellow music enthusiasts, to another episode of our podcast. Today, we're wrapping up season three with a bang, featuring our final rock boater interview before we sail into season four. Our guest, Michael Lombardo, joins us from Bellingham, Washington, to share his incredible journey through music, mentorship, and the magic of the rock boat community. Michael's story begins in Los Angeles, where his passion for music led him to work at the iconic K-Rock radio station. Michael's love for music never waned, even as he transitioned into a banking career. He and his wife, Michelle, have been deeply involved in mentoring bands since 2005, offering advice on fiscal responsibility and survival tips for life on the road—like the indispensable value of Ziploc bags. Michael was introduced to the Rock Boat five years ago and has been hooked ever since. He's attended several Sixthman cruises, but TRB holds a special place in his heart. Michael shares his experiences of the unique environment where artists and fans mingle as equals, breaking down the barriers that often exist at traditional concerts. During our conversation, Michael recounts his first Rock Boat experience, which came at a time when he was rediscovering his personal joys post-divorce. He was invited by friends to set sail, despite his initial skepticism about cruises. The trip turned out to be a surreal experience that he wouldn't trade for anything. Michael also highlights the importance of The Rock Boat Family's community and how it supports artists beyond the cruise itself. He shares a personal story of helping the band Fox Royale during their European tour with Young the Giant, showcasing the deep connections and support system within the Family. We delve into the evolution of the rock boat experience, from the booking process to the customer service improvements made by Sixthman over the years. Michael praises the organization for its enhanced communication and the bold move of booking Young the Giant for the upcoming cruise, which he believes will bring a fresh dynamic to the event. As we discuss the anticipation for the next rock boat, Michael expresses his excitement about introducing a new boater to the community and the thrill of witnessing their first-time experience. He also shares his hopes for spontaneous collaborations between artists on the boat, which he feels are the essence of the rock boat's charm. Finally, Michael offers some insider tips for future rock boaters, including the best way to spend time before and after the cruise. We had a great conversation with our friend Michael Dubin. Although Michael is mostly associated with his photography in some circles, in many other circles we talk about the many other projects and music-oriented stuff he is known-for. We talk about how he started and ran Fadeaway Records in 1999 (with the help of Neil),which released the first Movielife and which was active for 4 years. After a 10 year break, the label was relaunched as a non-profit with the "Friends" Comp. A 3xLP comp featuring 37 unreleased songs with 100% of the proceeds being donated to cancer research (http://www.fadeawayrecords.com/indexFRNDS.html). Dubin discusses his Radio show on K-Rock (one of the biggest rock radio station in the country) for 6 years 2004 - 2010 which was recorded in his house. Micahel also discusses the traveling music photo show featuring the work of 5 photographers from the 90's through the early 2000's called " Sti;; Screaming" Which featured galleries in Philly, Boston, DC, Venice Beach, Oakland, NYC and Montclair, NJ. Dubin talks about some of the bands hes managed and (and helped in an unofficial manner) and also the band he is currently managed now, a band from Brooklyn called Common Sage.
