When you change your life and change your eating habits you never have to diet again. Counting calories is not a long term solution. Listen in to learn how I keep 9% body fat year round without dieting or counting calories. If you've been following the podcast for any amount of time you'll know that I cut out most carbs due to high levels of inflammation in my body. However, you can eat carbs if your body doesn't react the same way. The most important thing is to make sure you're eating clean organic foods that aren't filled with added sugars and processed with tons of preservatives. Even the meat you eat needs to be clean meat. Grass-fed, pasture raised, cage-free protein is what you should be looking for. Processed sugars and grain-based proteins are a no go! In fact I even eat very little in the way of fruit unless I'm picking out berries. Most fruits have way more sugar in them than I need and berries have amazing antioxidants. It's not all about the daily diet however. I also make sure to move daily. When I'm not moving, I feel terrible. Listen in to hear what I eat every day, get some recommendations on clean brands you can start incorporating into your diet, and why this is all so important to me. Your health is the most important thing. It doesn't matter how much money you make if you die too young to enjoy it. In This Episode: [00:06] A quick note before we dive into the topic. [01:59] First things first, I don't follow a specific diet. [03:27] Why you shouldn't just focus on body fat as a whole. [04:40] Counting calories is not health. Learn more! I’m on the couch in a position that’s going to put my back into pain later on, with a dog who is sitting between my legs near my calves. Dead asleep snoring at times, so you’ll hear that, per usual. Just getting back to the gist. Getting back to normal here in Colorado. I just landed. I need to take a sip of water. I just landed in Colorado from Cabo yesterday. So, that’s my first time in Cabo, and I have to say, it is amazing. Cabo is freaking awesome. I get why people travel there all the time. Because it’s freaking awesome. And I always hear people say; oh, Cabo is so Americanized. It’s so touristy now. But number one; I did not get sick in Cabo. And number two, I found f*cking awesome brands, like Eating Evolved, and Artisana, and some of my favorite paleo brands, I was able to find in Cabo. So I think that was great. So just backtrack for a second, in case you didn’t listen to one of my recent podcasts. I went to Tulum three weeks ago. I was in Tulum for my best friend’s 30th birthday, and I got incredibly bad food poisoning. The worst pain I’ve ever been in. And this is coming from a person who is allergic to gluten and grew up in a hospital because I was in so much physical in. This was the worst pain. It was f*cking awful. It was so awful. So I was very nervous about going to Cabo back to back, after I had just gotten better from that terrible experience. Turns out, Cabo was a totally different experience. So here’s a little info about our trip.

But one thing I am not all about is stretching. I hate it. I usually stretch for about 15 seconds, then I get distracted. It’s called ADHD, guys. Luckily, I’ve been stretching every day now thanks to my fitness app, Aaptiv. I’ve told you about this a couple of times on the podcast, but if you haven’t hear about it, it is a fitness app you can listen to to do workouts, or stretches, or core workouts, running workouts. They have it all. But since I’ve been going to Crossfit and Orange Theory classes, and I’ve been super sore; I come home, I simply turn on my Aaptiv app, and I’ll run through a 5-7 minute stretching little play list. There are ones that are way longer than that, but I’m just not f*cking there yet, guys. 5-7 minutes; that’s all I’ll give. But it’s perfect. I’ve been doing those after my classes, and then trying just a little bit longer ones on my rest days, like today. So, the cool thing about this, why you’re even still listening, is because you can try Aaptiv out right now for 30 days for free. 30 days for free; trying a ton of their different workouts that you can do anywhere in your house, at the gym, in the park; whatever. So all you have to do, you just go to www.Aaptiv.com. That’s A-A-P-T-I-V and use the promo code PALEOMG and then that’s all you do. Do you know how to spell PaleOMG? If you don’t, get it together guys! You’re listening to the podcast PaleOMG Uncensored. But just to help you out, that’s P-A-L-E-O-M-G. Think pale-OMG. Ok? That’s all you have to do. And if you don’t remember any of this, just go to www.PaleOMG.com and in this post about this lovely podcast, I’ll have all the links and the discount code so you don’t have to think about anything. It’s awesome. You know what else is awesome? That people have been doing this. People have been trying these workouts. I just got a comment this week from a lovely listener named Brittany, and she said,
