On today's episode of The Two Mikes, Tim James—known as the “Health Hero”—returns to expose the silent chemical war being waged on the American people through processed food, which he says is killing over 4,000 citizens a day. James blasts the lie that poor health is just a part of aging, pointing instead to our disconnection from nature, toxic diets, and lack of grounding with the Earth. He calls for a radical return to natural living, starting with detoxing, barefoot connection to the soil, and rejecting the poison passed off as food by corporate elites. Discover an incredible story of survival and thriving on the Heal Yourself podcast as I interview 84-year-old John A. Brink, who went from surviving Nazi-occupied Holland to becoming a CEO, philanthropist and the oldest competitive bodybuilder in North America. John reveals his secrets to health, longevity and a powerful mindset, including the daily routines and diet that keep him thriving and why he considers his late-in-life ADHD diagnosis a "superpower." This is a must-listen for inspiration on resilience, health and aging without fear.Time Stamps 11:04 A Daily Gratitude Mindset: John starts every day at 5:30 AM by going outside and declaring, "I'm in paradise." He emphasizes that counting his blessings and maintaining a positive, grateful attitude is a critical part of his mental and emotional wellness.13:55 A Life-Threatening Wake-Up Call: A severe case of diverticulitis in 2008 became a major turning point for his health. The condition breached, causing toxins to spread and his doctor later told him he "came this close" to death. He took this as a "message" to get serious about his health.15:17 Proactive Diet Transformation: Following his health crisis, John became more proactive, adopting his wife's more vegetarian-focused lifestyle and moving from an "80/20" to a "90/10" approach to healthy eating.15:41 Embracing Fitness in His Late 60s: John became serious about personal fitness. He hired a trainer and began working out 3-4 times a week, proving it's never too late to start. This new passion eventually led him to bodybuilding.23:34 Finding His "Superpower" in ADHD: At age 62, John discovered a book called "Driven to Distraction" and realized he had ADHD. Instead of seeing it as a liability (which had caused him to fail school), he reframed it as his "superpower," crediting it for his strategic thinking and success.26:34 The Importance of Downtime: John schedules downtime and flies to Vancouver Island every Friday afternoon to spend the weekend relaxing with his wife and their seven horses, emphasizing that recovery is crucial.31:52 Overcoming Addiction: John shares that in 1992, his wife "hit him with a 2x4 across the head" (metaphorically) and "dumped him" as a wake-up call. This event prompted him to stop drinking, smoking and taking prescribed Xanax all within one week.36:48 John's tip for healthy ageing is to understand your body and have a good mindset.John's Bio Born in 1940 in Nazi-occupied Holland, John A. Brink survived war, hunger, and hardship before emigrating to Canada in 1965 with just $25.47. He founded Brink Forest Products in 1975, now North America's leading value-added wood manufacturer. At 84, he leads the Brink Group of Companies and hosts ON THE BRINK, a top 1% global podcast. A fierce advocate for ADHD awareness, John is also a philanthropist, pledging $1M to the College of New Caledonia. Angela Lerro's journey from near-death at 89 pounds to vibrant health challenges everything the spiritual community believes about diet. After breast cancer at 28, mysterious autoimmune conditions, and years of declining health on a plant-based diet, this energy worker made a radical decision that saved her life: eating only meat.In this raw conversation, Angela shares how undiagnosed Lyme disease nearly killed her, why her intuitive gifts were making her sick, and how she combined carnivore nutrition with energy healing to create what she calls "miracles" in her practice. Her story exposes the dangerous disconnect between spiritual wellness culture and human biology. From fainting 15 times daily to training her German Shepherd as a service dog, Angela's medical odyssey reveals how emotional trauma stores in the body and why proper nutrition is essential for spiritual work. She explains her unique approach to energy healing that works with clients worldwide, how meat consumption improved her psychic abilities, and why she believes the spiritual community's obsession with veganism is harming practitioners. This isn't your typical wellness story. It's a compelling case for why healing requires addressing mind, body, and spirit simultaneously - and why that might mean eating in ways that contradict popular spiritual teachings.BIG IDEAWhen the student's ready, the teacher appears - and sometimes that teacher is your own body demanding you question everything you've been taught about healing.Angela Lerro Contact InfoWebsite: https://meatbasedmedium.com/Instagram: MeatBasedMediumTikTok: MeatBasedMediumFacebook: AngelaChristineemail: meatbasedmedium@gmail.comBook References for the Skeptics: “The Holographic Universe” by Michael Talbot“You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise HaySend Dr. Ovadia a Text Message. PJ shares his journey of overcoming debilitating back pain and a severe fractured collar bone, by harnessing the principles of brain rewiring, neuroplasticity and the ground-breaking work of Dr. John Sarno on TMS (Tension Myositis Syndrome).Time stamps05:50 - The Mind-Body Connection: PJ introduces Dr. John Sarno and his work on how the brain creates physical pain (TMS) to distract from emotions.19:51 - Heal Faster Than Expected: PJ receives a nine-month recovery prognosis for his broken clavicle and decides to challenge it, setting his own expectation to heal faster.33:35 - Simple Brain Rewiring Techniques: PJ explains how to use EFT (tapping) as a shortcut to distinguish between emotional and physical pain.37:10 - Communicate with Your Subconscious: PJ shares his simple technique of talking to his subconscious mind (who he calls "Timmy") as a loving parent to release pain.38:08 - The Power of Belief: When asked for his single most important tip, PJ explains why belief and expectation are the keys to unlocking your body's ability to heal.40:33 - Overcoming the Nocebo Effect: PJ discusses how negative medical prognoses can become self-fulfilling prophecies and why it's crucial to take back your power.PJ's bio PJ started personal training in 1987 and successfully grew his business over the following 11 years, training clients in their homes and at local area gyms. With the help of these clients as test subjects, and armed with his degree in Exercise Science, PJ invented his “multi-protocol” concept and refined it through 1998, when he founded the X Gym. He is also the author of the book "Cracking Your Calorie Code" and the inventor of his Brain Type Test, which helps people achieve health and fitness results much faster through specific brain wiring techniques tailored to their unique brain type. PJ's extensive research into brain science to develop his brain rewiring techniques also helped him through his own healing experiences, which could have been permanently disabling, had he not gone on this personal research and discovery path.Connect with PJxgym.comhttps://www.instagram.com/xgyms https://x.com/XGymhttps://www.facebook.com/xgymshttps://www.youtube.com/xgymWho am I?Sarah is a highly sought-after Holistic Health and Healing Coach, International Speaker and the Author of HEAL YOURSELF.She's also a Multi-Award-Winning Entrepreneur and Award Winning Host of the popular health-focused podcast, Heal Yourself with Sarah Dawkins. Every scar tells a story — not of weakness, but of resilience. When the body heals, it doesn't just close a wound; it remembers the battle. Scars are living proof that pain was met, fought, and conquered. Think of them as nature's tattoos — permanent reminders that even when life cut deep, you grew stronger in the process. In this episode of "Next Level Healing," host Dr. Tara Perry engages in a transformative conversation with her guest, Kat, who shares her personal journey of healing and self-discovery through hypnotherapy. With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Perry aims to demystify the recovery process, making it accessible and relatable for listeners.Kat opens up about her struggles with chronic back pain, anxiety, fear, and self-doubt prior to their sessions. Despite trying various traditional therapies such as acupuncture, massage, and physical therapy, she found little relief, which only exacerbated her feelings of helplessness. Driven by a desire for change, Kat decided to explore hypnotherapy after being inspired by the teachings of Joe Dispenza on self-healing and the power of the mind.Early in the process, Kat experienced a shift in her mindset, realizing that the moment she committed to the hypnotherapy journey, her subconscious began to awaken. She describes the initial sessions as a safe space where she could confront her inner struggles and gain clarity. As she engaged with the hypnotherapy recordings, she felt a sense of lightness and began to feed the "good wolf" within her.As the sessions progressed, Kat noticed significant improvements in her back pain, which had decreased by half by the time of her second session. She likens her experience to building a sturdy bridge to her authentic self, allowing her to reunite with a version of herself she had long lost touch with. This newfound connection brought her joy, freedom, and a stronger sense of self, enabling her to establish better boundaries and clarity in her life.Work with Dr. Tara PerryTune in every week for a new episode of Next Level Healing. After years of struggling with mysterious health issues, Brad Pitzele's life changed dramatically when he was diagnosed with autoimmune arthritis in 2010 and malignant melanoma in 2014. Though his doctors prescribed treatments, Brad grew uneasy about the potential increase in cancer risk these therapies posed. Determined to find a safer, more holistic path, he delved deeper into his health—and uncovered additional infections: Lyme disease and Bartonella. As his fatigue, brain fog, and limited mobility became overwhelming, Brad sought alternatives that could offer real relief. In 2016, his doctor recommended either hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) or exercise with oxygen therapy (EWOT). Intrigued but unimpressed by the systems available, Brad decided to engineer his own EWOT solution. The impact was nothing short of life-changing: within a year, his energy, mental clarity, and physical strength were restored. The transformation was so profound that his doctor soon asked if Brad could build EWOT systems for other patients. That simple request became the inspiration for One Thousand Roads, a company rooted in Brad's firsthand belief that healing should be effective, safe, and accessible.Today, Brad empowers others living with chronic and complex illnesses by sharing his story and explaining how EWOT can accelerate recovery from conditions like Lyme disease, cancer, chronic fatigue, and autoimmune disease. His mission: to help people navigate their own healing journeys, understanding the science behind EWOT and making it an affordable, approachable tool for wellness.Business: One Thousand RoadsEmail: brad@onethousandroads.com  Website: www.OneThousandRoads.com Social Media:LinkedIN - https://www.linkedin.com/in/bradpitzele/ Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/OneThousandRoadsHQ/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/onethousandroadshq/ Tiktok - https://www.tiktok.com/@onethousandroads Remember to SUBSCRIBE so you don't miss "Information That You Can Use." In this insightful discussion, I chat with Dr. Sandeep Gupta, a proponent of integrative medicine and longevity health. We explore the evolving landscape of healthcare, discuss the limitations of the traditional medical system, and delve into the holistic approaches to health that focus on both healthspan and lifespan. What You'll Learn: The Shift to Integrative Medicine: Discover why Dr. Gupta transitioned from traditional pathways to focus on integrative and holistic approaches, driven by personal experiences and the need for a comprehensive view of health. Challenges in Traditional Medicine: Uncover the stigmas associated with holistic health approaches in the conventional medical setting and how these have historically been viewed by the medical community. Medicine 3.0 and Longevity: Understand Dr. Gupta's focus on healthspan and longevity, emphasising quality years of life filled with passion, joy, and meaning over merely extending lifespan. Metabolic Health and Chronic Diseases: Learn about the significance of metabolic health, its impact on major diseases, and how insulin resistance syndrome underpins many health issues. Diet and Longevity: Explore dietary recommendations for longevity, recognising the absence of a one-size-fits-all diet, and the importance of reducing sugar and refined carbohydrates. Muscle Mass and Health: Grasp the crucial role of maintaining muscle mass, its anti-inflammatory benefits, and its significance in preventing sarcopenia and indirectly reducing risks for major health disorders. Key Takeaways: Integrative medicine can offer a more complete approach to health, focusing not only on treating diseases but promoting overall well-being and longer healthspans. Traditional medicine often emphasises treatment of disease over prevention and maintenance of optimal health, a paradigm explored through Medicine 3.0. Metabolic syndrome is a silent precursor to many chronic illnesses, and dietary choices play a crucial role in managing this risk. Muscle health is vital; maintaining muscle mass as we age can prevent systemic issues and chronic disease. A balanced diet rich in diverse, colourful foods can bolster metabolic health and support a robust microbiome. Grounding and nature exposure are gaining recognition for their potential health benefits, including reducing inflammation and improving mental well-being. Resources To delve deeper into integrative health approaches and longevity practices, consider exploring resources and studies on metabolic syndrome, holistic care interventions, and the benefits of nature exposure.
