During this segment, host Charlie James broadcasts live from the "Salute to Liberty" event at the Anderson Civic Center. He dives into behind-the-scenes drama surrounding an upcoming political debate at the Newberry Opera House. Initially, rumor had it that the Lindsey Graham campaign demanded the removal of Joey Hudson (of NewsTalk 98.9 WORD) as a debate moderator. This was allegedly due to grievances over NewsMax running ads favoring opponent Russell Fry, leading South Carolina GOP Chairman Drew McKissick to swap Hudson in order to include SCETV instead. However, James brings to light new statements from Abby Zilch, a spokesperson for the Graham campaign. Zilch clarified that the Graham campaign praised Hudson, had no hand in his removal, and that the decision rested solely with the SCGOP. James notes that outside sources have corroborated Zilch's statement, leaving listeners with the open question: who actually made the call to boot Joey Hudson from the debate?

Privatwirtschaft umfasst, wie Wirtschftswachstum bis vor 70 Jahren definiert war, wieso gesellschaftliche Teilhabe genauso wichtig ist wie Wirtschaftswachstum, dass „Grünes Wirtschaftswachstum“ nur unter Extrembedingungen möglich ist, v.a. ohne Profitmaximierung, Dass mindestens 7 – 10% Emissionsreduktion pro Jahr nötig wären, dass wir davon meilenweit entfernt sind, warum Österreich in Sachen Klimaschutz derart langsam ist, wieso wir ab 2024 den Reduktionspfad schnurstracks verlassen haben, weshalb Rezession das Klima auch nicht retten wird, was „slower bei Design, not Desaster” bedeutet, ie man die Wirtschaft so umbaut, dass man Wachstum nicht mehr unbedingt braucht, warum zu schöne Sommer auch nicht beliebt sind, weshalb Korallen kein Nice to have sind, was Kipppunkte so machen, wenn niemand schaut, warum wir Fichten noch vermissen werden, wieso the cost of inaction sechsmal höher sind als die der transition, dass auch Meerestiere den Golfstrom brauchen, wie wichtig soziale und administrative Innovationen sind & warum es immer noch schlimmer kommen kann.

Viele haben Hugo Bigi bewundert, nicht nur für sein Akkordeonspiel, auch für seine wunderschönen Kompositionen. Am 16. August 2026 hätte dieser Virtuose seinen 100. Geburtstag gefeiert. Sein gleichnamiger Sohn nimmt uns im SRF Musikwellen-Brunch mit auf eine Zeitreise. Hugo Bigi jun. ist vielen bekannt als Moderator bei Talk Täglich auf Tele Züri und Mitgründer des privaten Fernsehsenders. Er ist zu Gast im SRF-Musikwellen-Brunch und blickt zurück auf viele Momente mit seinem Vater. So begleitete er 1984 in der TV-Sendung «Oisi Musig» seinen Vater Hugo Bigi sen. am Klavier und lacht heute immer noch über den fast verpassten Einsatz zu Beginn des Stücks. Beindruckt ist Hugo Bigi jun. aber auch heute noch davon, wie sein Vater sich als Secondo auf seinem Akkordeon in die Herzen der Schweiz gespielt hat. Als in den 1920er Jahren im Wägital die Mauer zum Stausee gebaut wurde, kam der Grossvater des Brunchgasts Hugo Bigi in die Schweiz. Als Maurer verdiente er dann sein Geld für die ganze Familie, welche damals in Wangen SZ gelebt hat. Der spätere Akkordeonvirtuose Hugo Bigi sen. kam als jüngster Sohn am 16. August 1926 auf die Welt. Schon während seiner Kindheit hatte die Musik viel Platz eingenommen. Im Kindergartenalter lernte er Schwyzerörgeli spielen und danach folgte das Akkordeon. Bereits mit 17 Jahren kam es schon zu seinen ersten Tanzmusikauftritten. Als Hugo Bigi dann 1949 seine erste Kapelle gründete, startete er eine unvergleichliche Karriere, in der er weit über 700 Kompositionen hinterliess.

Ein deutscher Schreibtischtäter will „mehr Russen töten“ und offenbart verheerende KontinuitätenEin Kommentar von Tilo Gräser.Diese Frage an den Kiewer Präsidentendarsteller Wolodymyr Selenskyj kam am Samstag aus deutschem Mund. Aber nicht Bundesaußenminister Johann Wadephul (CDU) hat sie gestellt, für den „Russland immer ein Feind“ bleibt. Auch Kriegstreiber Roderich Kiesewetter, Ex-Oberst und CDU-Außenpolitiker äußerte sie nicht, der von einer „bedingungslosen Kapitulation Russlands“ träumt. Ein deutscher Journalist hat sie gestellt: Michael Martens, Korrespondent der Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung (FAZ) für Südosteuropa, bei der gemeinsamen Pressekonferenz des serbischen Präsidenten Aleksandar Vučić mit Selenskyj am Samstag.Der Mann aus Kiew antwortete nicht direkt darauf. Vor ihm sagte Vučić neben seiner Antwort auf die ebenfalls von Martens gestellte Frage nach der Zusammenarbeit mit der Europäischen Union (EU): „Was das Töten angeht, so hoffe ich, dass das Töten aufhört.“ In seinem am Sonntag in der FAZ online veröffentlichten Beitrag zur Pressekonferenz in Belgrad stellte Martens den Vorgang so dar:Er erklärte als Ausgangspunkt seiner Frage die „seit Monaten kursierenden und leicht divergierenden Aussagen ukrainischer und anderer Verteidigungsexperten …, wie viele russische Soldaten die Ukraine monatlich töten oder kampfunfähig machen müsste, bis die russische Armee in ernsthafte personelle Schwierigkeiten geriete und Putin vielleicht zu Friedensgesprächen gezwungen wäre“. Seine Frage ist und bleibt zum einen erschreckend, nicht nur, weil sie ein deutscher Journalist gestellt hat.Das hat nichts mit Journalismus zu tun. Einer der Höhepunkte des ersten Kabarett-Halbjahrs 2026 war die Verleihung des Deutschen Kleinkunstpreises, der Mitte März zum 54. Mal vergeben wurde. In diesem Jahr gingen die Trophäen unter anderem an Claus von Wagner, William Wahl, Dr. Pop, Abdelkarim und Ana Lucia, die leider erkrankt war und deshalb nicht auftreten konnte. Seit 1972 wird die Auszeichnung in Mainz vergeben - der Stadt, in der Tobias Mann geboren wurde. Zweimal hat er den Preis schon gewonnen, und auch in diesem Jahr stand er auf der Bühne, diesmal als Moderator.

Bei einem heiligen Hopfensaft und kaubarem Tetrapak gehen wir dann aber voll ans Werk: Der neue Marvel Film ist da und will seziert werden...rettet die Spinne das Franchise?...kann Disney noch immer Kino? Ihr werden überraschende Antworten erhalten, so wie eine tatsächlich zum leben erweckte KI, die fast schon Moderator sein könnte. Immerhin versteht sie unsere dummen Fragen nicht ganz...

In 2021, Dr. Ron Elfenbein, MD, operated urgent care centers in Maryland, testing and treating COVID patients with monoclonal antibodies. The treatment was so successful that he was able to test and treat patients, see them recover, and watch them go home. Dr. Elfenbein went on Fox News sharing the great news of how successful the treatment of monoclonal antibodies was for COVID. Four months later, he was criminally indicted on 5 counts of fraudulent coding and billing at his clinics. A matter that should have never been brought in criminal court—at most deserving of some administrative action. He is still fighting these charges today. That is the stark outline of what happened to a good doctor. The fuller story is even more revealing—and more troubling. He is the kind of doctor you would want for your own care or for the care of your family. Dr. Elfenbein is an emergency physician with more than two decades of experience. When COVID arrived, he did what physicians are trained to do: he looked at the evidence in front of him and treated the patients in front of him. Monoclonal antibody infusions—technology that has been used safely since the 1970s for a range of conditions—produced dramatic results. Patients who arrived looking “on death's door” often improved while still sitting in the infusion chair, with rapid turnarounds during the treatment itself. Lives saved. Hospitalizations prevented. Families spared further illness. No ventilators. No funerals. Displaying ingenuity and personal drive along with organizational skills, he built infusion centers and quickly became one of the largest providers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Patients traveled from neighboring states because they could not obtain the treatment closer to home. He saw the technology work with his own eyes. So did the patients and their families. Who needed any mRNA vaccines? Patients were being treated inexpensively and were able to return home. But there was a pandemic and a vaccine blueprint we documented in our book COVID-19 and the Global Predators: We are the Prey that had been developed for more than a decade, involving many billions of dollars in profits and offering the potential to finally exercise control over free and feisty American citizens. Led by Bill Gates and Klaus Schwab, both working with Dr. Anthony Fauci and the Deep State, careers and billions in research had been invested in shoehorning the “next generation” of vaccine technology past FDA approval requirements and into the marketplace. The “Universal Vaccine” was the holy grail before 2020. The mRNA vaccine model was considered a strong candidate with tremendous support from Bill Gates and others. “Why don't we blow the system up? Obviously, we can't just turn off the spigot on the system we have and then say, ‘hey, everyone in the world should get this new vaccine we haven't given to anyone yet.' But there must be some way…”  Michael Specter, Staff Writer, The New Yorker; Moderator at the Milkin Institute's Future Health Summit 2019 panel titled “Making Influenza History: The Quest for a Universal Vaccine.” When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, an Emergency Use Authorization was issued for the mRNA COVID vaccines. It was based on the legislative condition that there were no preexisting “adequate, approved and available alternatives.” And that was the wrinkle. There were adequate, approved, and available alternatives to a rushed, unapproved, mRNA vaccine system already documented to be toxic. Hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, monoclonal antibodies, and even the basic medical treatments for respiratory viral conditions that are a part of any general practitioner's armamentarium (albuterol and Budesonide inhalers, analgesics, oral steroids, cough suppressants, and antibiotics for secondary infections or other available tools that were not being recommended by the government when patients began to exhibit viral respiratory symptoms thought to be caused by COVID). None of these treatments were recommended for COVID by the CDC. Bill Gates, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and the pharmaceutical industry pushed a multi-billion-dollar boondoggle for experimental vaccines, all of which depended upon the absence of early effective treatments. But there were good doctors who stood against the pressure on behalf of their patients and patients everywhere, speaking truthfully through media outlets to inform citizens about their care options and treating their own patients. Dr. Elfenbein is one of those good doctors, and the Biden administration noticed, especially after he made a couple of media appearances talking about the successful treatment of COVID with monoclonal antibodies. A simple, outpatient monoclonal antibody treatment that could be provided in test/treat facilities and scaled up to provide care to thousands in a community should have provided strong evidence against any need for “vaccines.” But the Biden government was in the middle of their single-minded drive to get mRNA vaccines for Covid into “every arm.” Then federal authorities shut the monoclonal antibody program down nationally, citing that it was less effective with the newer Omicron variant. Dr. Elfenbein went on national television and said what many physicians believed, but few dared state publicly: people would die as a result of that decision. He was right. Hospitalizations and deaths followed. The monoclonal antibodies were eventually pulled from the market entirely, while the mRNA vaccines remained available. Four months after Dr. Elfenbein's public criticism of COVID policy and the mRNA vaccines, the Department of Justice indicted him. The charges were not that he invented patients or fabricated services. The charges concerned how certain COVID-related evaluation and management visits had been coded for insurance reimbursement—technical billing questions that arise routinely in medical practice and are normally handled, when necessary, through civil or administrative channels. A jury convicted him in August 2023. Then something almost unheard of occurred. Chief Judge James K. Bredar of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland—the same judge who had presided over the trial—issued a detailed 93-page opinion vacating the convictions and entering a judgment of acquittal on all five counts. The judge found that the relevant CPT coding guidance was ambiguous, that the government had failed to prove the Level 4 codes were false beyond a reasonable doubt, and that no reasonable jury could have reached a guilty verdict on the evidence presented. He also conditionally granted a new trial because the evidence weighed so heavily against the verdict that it would be unjust to enter judgment. The government appealed. The Fourth Circuit later reversed the pure judgment of acquittal while acknowledging the evidence was “thin,” leaving the new-trial order in place. Judge Bredar subsequently recused himself from the case with a one-line notice and no explanation. Dr. Elfenbein now faces a second trial. The legal costs of the first prosecution nearly bankrupted him and his family. A second trial threatens to finish what the first began. Major physician organizations have stood with him. The American Medical Association—the very body that authors and maintains the CPT code set the government claims he violated—filed an amicus brief in his support. So did the Maryland State Medical Society, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, and the Independent Medical Alliance. These groups have made clear that differences of interpretation over complex, pandemic-era billing rules should not be criminalized, especially when the underlying medical services were actually provided, and no patient harm is alleged. This case is not an isolated bureaucratic error. It fits a larger pattern we have watched for years: physicians who questioned official COVID narratives, who prioritized early treatment, or who spoke publicly about what they were seeing in their clinics often found themselves investigated, deplatformed, or professionally attacked. When a doctor can face decades in federal prison over disputed coding of real services, the message to the entire profession is unmistakable. Dr. Elfenbein's website is dropthecase.com. PhD, MIT (machine learning & operations research). Co-founder of Universal AI. "Professor Leo," as his students call him, is a leader in AI education, research, experimentation, and adoption. He and I are on the Foster AI Taskforce, and sat down for this conversation in August of 2025. Leo rejects the career advice you've heard your entire life: pick a lane, specialize, go deep. His counter-argument is that AI now lets you be — in his words — a specialist of everything. In this conversation, we dig into what that actually means for MBA students, career switchers, and anyone trying to figure out how to use AI without offloading their thinking to it. We cover how Leo teaches non-coders to ship working products in a single class session, how he uses six different AI models to plan a vacation (and why), the new category of jobs emerging around human-AI collaboration, and why the people who panic about AI are usually the ones who haven't played with it yet. 3 Key Takeaways 1. Drive the AI. Don't delegate to it. The students who get worse at thinking are the ones who treat AI as a ghostwriter. The ones who get sharper treat it as a collaborator — pushing it in specific directions, rejecting outputs, iterating.  2. Build something this weekend. Reading about AI is not learning AI. Leo's students — most with zero coding background — ship working websites and games in a single class. Vibe coding tools like Lovable have collapsed the gap between idea and prototype to minutes. If you're an MBA recruiting into product, strategy, or consulting, the ability to prototype your own thinking is now a baseline skill, not a bonus. 3. The new jobs are at the human-AI seam. Automation creates a new category of work: deciding where humans belong in the loop, designing the workflows, catching the 5% of edge cases that have outsized consequences.
