Las antiguas civilizaciones prehispánicas que habitaron en este país, sembraron en los pueblos mexicanos y en el mundo una historia.Los mayas, los zapotecas, los olmecas y los teotihuacanos, fueron grupos que tenían sus propio cultos, fueron sabios de astronomía y matemáticas y desarrollaron construcciones con grandes ideas urbanas que actualmente son visitadas por miles de turistas. En este pais se celebra "El día de los muertos" . La cultura mexicana posee una relación muy estrecha con la muerte, y esta celebración data de las civilizaciones anteriores a la llegada de los españoles. Todos los 2 de noviembre, según esta antigua creencia, el espíritu de los seres queridos que han fallecido regresa para estar con sus parientes. La tradición comienza el 31 de octubre con velas encendidas, continúa el primero de noviembre con un rezo y ofrendas que recuerdan a sus seres queridos, y al concluir la celebración la familia come reunida. El tequila y el mezcal son las dos bebidas más famosas del país, habiendo traspasado hace tiempo sus fronteras para convertirse en una de las cosas que representan a México en todo el mundo. El mezcal se produce a partir de la cocción del tallo y de las hojas de la base del agave. El tequila es elaborado a partir de la plata agave azul, por ello es considerado un tipo de mezcal, que lleva su tiempo y su proceso hasta la obtención del alcohol final. A nivel internacional México es un país reconocido por sus aguas caribeñas. In this episode of In Search of More, I sit with Michael Benmeleh, one of the foremost personalities in the Jewish community in South Florida when it comes to bringing Torah teaching to the masses.We spoke about his journey, from running Torah classes to creating The Lighthouse Project. It has since become something more heart-centered and expansive. He's brought in breathwork, meditation, and a focus on deep inner work, all grounded in Jewish wisdom, especially the teachings of Rabbi Nachman.One of the major turning points for him was a retreat in Tulum with Rav Doniel Katz. Something opened up there. A deeper relationship with God, with himself, and with his purpose to help others access real healing. Not through performing. Just through being present.We also talked about the challenge of holding sacred space, especially when it comes to gender. He's been thoughtful and direct about what it takes to create real containers where men and women can do meaningful work without crossing boundaries. He speaks honestly about leadership, responsibility, and what it truly means to hold space for transformation.Toward the end, we got into some of the questions we've been asking ourselves about the appropriate boundaries and separation between men and women in healing spaces, and how to make those spaces safer, holier, and more accessible.
