Some journeys unfold in a straight line. Others drift like smoke, following instinct rather than direction. For his debut appearance on the Magician On Duty Journey Series, Calatrava (@calatravaa) offers a recording that lives somewhere between sunrise and the final moments of the night. It is a patient conversation between pulse and silence, where each transition feels less like a DJ mix and more like the turning of a page. Time stretches, rhythms breathe, and melodies arrive quietly, leaving room for the listener to wander. Calatrava's story begins in Moscow, where intimate underground gatherings became the laboratory for a sound shaped by restraint instead of excess. Drawn to the subtle tension of minimal techno, deep house, and downtempo, he learned to build momentum through detail rather than spectacle, allowing every record to reveal itself slowly. Everything shifted with his move to Tulum in 2022. Surrounded by a community searching for new musical languages, he co-founded EXO, a gathering dedicated to slower frequencies and open-minded selectors. What began as a local event series soon grew into one of the region's most respected platforms, welcoming artists including Magician On Duty, Kyong Sono, DPAZ, NADA, RoMo, MoM, YOU&I, and many others. The vision naturally expanded into EXO Records, a home for music that favors feeling over formula. Today, Calatrava continues to shape his own path through original productions and performances across Mexico, guided by curiosity rather than convention. His sets refuse obvious climaxes, choosing instead to dissolve the boundaries between genres, cultures, and states of mind. That philosophy flows effortlessly through this Journey Series episode. Across eighteen carefully chosen selections, delicate arpeggios dissolve into earthy percussion, forgotten melodies reappear in unexpected forms, and hypnotic grooves give way to moments of quiet reflection before finding their pulse once again. Music from Arutani, Iorie, Madmotormiquel, NADA, Mira & Christopher Schwarzwälder, Juliano Gomez, gázel, O_Y and others becomes part of a single, unbroken narrative—less a collection of tracks than a landscape slowly revealing itself with every step. This is a mix for long roads, hidden beaches, empty dance floors at dawn, and those rare moments when music says more than words ever could. Tracklist: 1. Soble – Some Arps 2. Yassen – To Break (Exei Remix) 3. Arutani – Láska (Original Mix) 4. Arutani, AVEM – The Mermaid Girl (Original Mix) 5. Noema – Twilight (O_Y Remix) 6. Mexico City may be enjoying its moment in the World Cup spotlight, but another story is unfolding beyond football. A steady stream of Americans are packing their bags for Tulum, Merida and Guanajuato. In today's episode, Mona speaks with Juan Felipe Sanchez of Mexico Business Lawyers about why Mexico has become such an attractive destination for Americans to relocate and invest.Having practised Mexican residency, real estate, and business law since 2007, Juan Felipe explains the real reasons behind the southern migration, including how remote work has changed the game and how 350k can buy you a foothold on the Mexican coast. Most importantly, he reveals the truth behind Mexico's property myths (no, you don't need to be Mexican to own beachfront real estate!).For anybody planning their retirement, weighing up a second home or looking for the practical guide to temporary and permanent residency south of the American border, this episode offers a first-hand briefing from someone who's lived and practiced it for nearly two decades.

What if your next five-figure offer did not require a launch? My guest this week is Tenagne Turner, founder of BRB Retreats, a luxury international retreat company serving high-achieving women entrepreneurs, coaches, and consultants. Since 2021 she has generated over a million dollars in revenue through a relationship-first, invitation-only model built around retreats. She has done it without paid ads, without public launches, and without a massive following. Her retreats have taken women to Greece, Bali, Costa Rica, Tulum, and Morocco, and her next two are already selling with one sold out into 2027. In this conversation, Tenagne breaks down exactly how she builds, prices, fills, and runs profitable retreats on a 12-month runway. She shares what your business needs before you host your first one, why she never lets anyone book without a conversation, how she finds villas that sell the retreat from a single photo, and the pricing mindset that separates a profitable retreat from an expensive vacation you accidentally paid for. If a retreat has been sitting in the notes app on your phone, this is the episode that moves it onto your calendar. IN THIS EPISODE The one thing your business needs before you host your first retreat, and the starting point Tenagne recommends if you do not have it yet. Why Tenagne calls retreats the opposite of launching, and how her 12-month retreat runway removes the pressure from selling and planning. The invitation-only sales model that starts with a list of 25 names, and the 30-minute conversation every single guest has before they can pay her. The profit-first pricing approach that turns a retreat into a real offer, including the number Tenagne starts her clients at and the profit range a well-priced retreat can produce. Her villa selection process, from the search filters she uses to the one-picture test that tells her whether a property can sell the retreat for her. The negotiation move she makes with every villa owner before she signs, and why she almost never books through the platform where she found the property. How she structures her week to run a million-dollar retreat business while coaching only three days and closing her calendar by three o'clock. The client retention skill Tenagne discovered she had, and why she believes it is the most undervalued conversation in the coaching industry. RESOURCES MENTIONED Connect with Tenagne on Instagram at @lovetenagne and explore upcoming BRB Retreats, including Greece next June, at BRBretreats.com. → The CEO Summer Camp waitlist is open. Waitlist members get first access to enroll and waitlist-only pricing that goes away when public enrollment opens. Join at dailysuccessroutine.com/list. Come tell me on Instagram @JamilaPayneMBA if a retreat is going on your calendar this year. I want to hear where you would take your clients. If this episode hit, leave a five-star rating and a written review. It is the single best way to help more business owners find the show. Then share it with one entrepreneur friend who has been talking about hosting a retreat.
This week's Throwback Thursday episode is one that will challenge your thinking. And that's exactly why I'm bringing it back. In this powerful conversation, Shannon Jamail sits down with Kyera Kacey, a bold entrepreneur, speaker, and retreat leader known for helping people break through limitations around money, confidence, and self-worth. Love her approach or disagree with parts of it, one thing is certain: Kyera challenges retreat leaders to think bigger. Much bigger. In this episode, Kyera shares how she launched and sold out her first retreat in Ireland, then went on to host luxury experiences priced from $17,000 to $55,000 per attendee. The conversation explores: The role of self-belief in sales Why conviction matters more than tactics Premium retreat pricing The relationship between money and service Creating transformational retreat experiences Breaking through limitations around worth and visibility This episode isn't really about charging $55,000. It's about the beliefs that either expand or limit what's possible in your retreat business. Whether you're pricing a retreat at $2,000, $5,000, or $20,000+, this conversation will challenge you to examine the stories you're telling yourself about value, money, and what people are willing to invest in. What You'll Learn in This Episode The connection between self-belief and retreat sales Why confidence impacts retreat pricing How conviction influences enrollment The mindset behind premium retreat experiences Why transformational experiences command higher prices How to stop letting fear dictate pricing decisions What luxury retreat guests are actually buying Key Takeaways Your Pricing Reflects Your Beliefs Many retreat leaders don't have a pricing problem. They have a confidence problem. Conviction Sells Guests often respond more to your certainty than your sales page. Premium Pricing Requires Premium Thinking Higher pricing isn't about charging more. It's about creating exceptional value and owning it. Transformation Is Worth More Than Information People invest in outcomes, breakthroughs, and experiences. Not schedules and itineraries. Self-Belief Is a Business Skill The way you think about yourself impacts everything from marketing to sales to pricing. About Kyera Kacey Kyera Kacey is a personal development leader, entrepreneur, speaker, and retreat host known for her bold approach to transformation, abundance, and self-worth. Tom's out. Christina P is holding down the Mommy Dome with Ryan Long, Canadian sketch comedian, content creator, and a man who recently received a cease and desist from a testosterone clinic over a joke photo. Ryan opens talking acting and shares one of his sketch videos, Doyle the OnlyFans pimp who thought he'd be living the life and spends 90% of his day rating strangers' dicks. They also open the show with Alec Baldwin fully losing his mind at over a missing bag in a video that feels like a parody. From there: Ontario passed a law allowing all women to go topless in public, the tits you actually see at the nude beach are not the ones you pictured, and Austin has a shirtless jogging epidemic with zero enforcement of chest hair standards. Plus, a cool gal accepting boyfriend applications on TikTok and Christina and Ryan do their civic duty to find her a man. They also review Cowboys for Angels, a straight male gigolo site that Ryan correctly points out uses completely gender-neutral language. Then a Tulum trip story ends with Christina inserting off-brand suppositories into her hotel mini fridge so they'd stop melting before she could use them, and the cleaning staff tidied the wrappers and put them in a glass jar. She would like you to know they were unused. Finally, Christina's TikTok Curations: a weather reporter who unexpectedly quotes Edgar Allan Poe, a body percussionist who is simply not ready, a man posting his phone number who specifically says not to ask for money, a woman who attempts parkour and lands on her face then immediately says "I'm fine," and a leg hair identity video. This week Kate and I sat down with Sébastien Plasse, owner of Zion Gym in St. Barths, one of the most unique training facilities we've ever visited.Located just steps from the beach, Zion Gym combines a full CrossFit affiliate, HYROX training center, and massive commercial gym under one roof. But that's only the beginning. The facility also features a Tulum-style outdoor training area with sand, stone weights, boxing space, cold plunges, and a full coffee, juice, and smoothie bar—all completely outdoors in one of the most beautiful settings imaginable. What makes the story even more impressive is that Sébastien built the entire project just four years ago, post-COVID, without a massive investment budget, on one of the most expensive and exclusive islands in the Caribbean. In this conversation we dive into entrepreneurship, gym ownership, building community through fitness, and the realities of creating a world-class training facility in a place where most people would never imagine opening a gym.And make sure you watch all the way to the end of the YouTube video—I give a full walkthrough tour of Zion Gym so you can see this incredible facility for yourself.Sébastien's passion for CrossFit, training, and gym ownership is undeniable, and this was one of my favorite conversations we've had in a long time.

He texted her "Is love going to kill me?" and was dead 33 days later. What the medical examiner found next changes everything. Christian Obumseli was a 27-year-old Nigerian-American engineer and former college linebacker who met OnlyFans creator Courtney Clenney in Tulum in 2020. Over the next two years, their relationship became increasingly violent — documented in police body cam footage, elevator surveillance video, and Christian's own text messages describing being stabbed in the leg, cut on the face, and called racial slurs. On April 3, 2022, he died from a stab wound to the chest in their Miami penthouse. In Part 1, Tyrella and Nikita walk through who Christian was before Courtney, every documented incident of violence, and the night he died — including the Miami-Dade medical examiner's findings that directly contradict Courtney's defense. Part 2 (the arrest, the four-year delay, and prosecutorial misconduct) is available now for patrons, or drops Thursday for everyone. ⚠️ Content warning: domestic violence, racial slurs, graphic descriptions of injury and death. DG shares how a final public retreat in Tulum becomes a mirror for the deeper work of releasing fear, guilt, and the need to please. The story moves from ceremony to marriage to integration, landing on a simple truth: real expansion often comes from subtraction, not more effort. • why stepping away from public retreats protects alignment and energy • how two-day ceremonies create a different level of transformation • the people pleasing dilemma behind skipping the last dinner • a first-night purge that sets up the real work • “blockage” and how bodywork surfaces stored nervous system memories • an eight-year-old fear of punishment shaping adult self-expression • guilt around travel and success traced back to earlier life patterns • relationship repair after old Florida pain resurfaces for Carly • holding space instead of defending, fixing, or coaching your partner • fear and guilt as pathways into shame and feeling not good enough • “addition by subtraction” as a mindset for growth and leadership So get yourself in the DG Mindset Academy. We’ve been keeping a close eye on travel demand to Mexico. Tourism was rocked earlier this year after cartel-related upheaval in the state of Jalisco, particularly in Puerto Vallarta and Guadalejara. The U.S. embassy in Mexico issued shelter-in-place alerts, which were briefly expanded across Mexico to places like Cancun, Tulum, Baja California and Oaxaca. Disturbances were soon quieted, but not before some travelers were spooked. Three months later, host Rebecca Tobin talks with Jacki Marks, the global head of trade brands for Mexico powerhouse ALG Vacations, and Travel Weekly hotels editor Christina Jelski about tourism sentiment today. Is travel on the rebound, and where did travelers go instead of Mexico? Is economic uncertainty and fuel costs having an impact on destination decisions? And, if you want a unique or special Mexico resort, where might you consider going? This episode was recorded Wednesday, May 20, and has been edited for length and clarity. Episode Notes The Wedding and the Marriage: On Creative Devotion and the Gift of the Slow Burn What does it actually mean to be devoted to your work — not the version of it you imagined, but the version that wants to exist? In this deeply personal episode, Michael reflects on the six-year journey of writing Resonance: The Art and Science of Human Connection — and the humbling gap between the grand launch he envisioned and the initiation the universe had in store. Recorded live from Tulum, Mexico, just weeks after the book's release, this is a raw and honest meditation on ego, surrender, patience, and what it means to stay in the work when the fanfare doesn't come. What You'll Hear in This Episode: The moment Michael nearly folded after five years — and the four-month ultimatum that changed everything Why he moved to Austin, found the right environment, and finally cracked the book's structure The emotional experience of recording the audiobook and hearing his "composition" for the first time How a crypto portfolio hit by 100% China tariffs wiped out his marketing budget — and what he did next The difference between the wedding (the launch) and the marriage (the lifelong commitment to the work) Why he stopped chasing the bestseller list and started thinking like Ryan Holiday's perennial bestseller What Esther Perel's Mating in Captivity and Steven Pressfield's The War of Art teach us about the slow burn The Miles Davis principle: music is what lives in the space between the notes Nelson Mandela's Long Walk to Freedom as a model for creative endurance How the principles of Resonance — listening, devotion, releasing transactional expectation — apply to your creative life, not just your relationships Key Themes: Creative initiation and the fire that forges you Releasing egoic expectation vs. listening to what wants to live The gift of the slow burn and the perennial work Environment as a creative catalyst Dissonance vs. resonance in relationships — and in your work What vision fasts and initiatory rituals teach us about patience and preparation Quotes From This Episode: "It's not about the night of the wedding. It's going to be about the years of commitment in the marriage." "How can I listen to what wants to live — and become an instrument for that song?" "Music is what lives in the space between the notes." — Miles Davis "I wasn't positive how the ideas came together in the most poignant way. But I knew it was in there." Tonight's guest is VJ, calling from California, who recounts a close-range encounter with a structured craft deep in the mountains of Central Mexico. While guiding expeditions through ancient Mesoamerican regions, he was taken to a remote UFO hotspot by two indigenous companions. At around 3AM, a metallic disc estimated at 20 meters in diameter appeared across a ravine, hovering silently just above the ground. The object remained in view for nearly an hour, vanishing and reappearing without any visible propulsion. What followed was something far stranger. As VJ focused his attention on the craft, its lights began pulsing in sync with his heartbeat, leading to a brief but intense moment of what he describes as direct awareness from the intelligence behind it.More information on this episode on the podcast website:https://ufochroniclespodcast.com/2026-2/One Life | One Story (Promo)A podcast about real people's lives, each episode centers on a single person and a defining experience,Listen on all podcast apps: Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/5EE7HbNItkQQbJdtZCHt88Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/one-life-one-story/id1861678226Spreaker:https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/one-life-one-story--6823002If you enjoy this podcast, please support the show with a virtual coffee:https://ko-fi.com/ufochroniclespodcastFollow and Subscribe on X to get ad-free episodesX: https://x.com/UFOchronpodcast/Want to share your encounter on the show?Email: UFOChronicles@gmail.comOr Fill out Guest Form:https://forms.gle/uGQ8PTVRkcjy4nxS7Podcast Merchandise:https://www.teepublic.com/user/ufo-chronicles-podcastHelp Support UFO CHRONICLES by becoming a Patron:https://patreon.com/UFOChroniclespodcastAll Links for Podcast:https://linktr.ee/UFOChroniclesPodcastThank you for listening!Like share and subscribe it really helps me when people share the show on social media, it means we can reach more people and more witnesses and without your amazing support, it wouldn't be possible.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/ufo-chronicles-podcast--3395068/support.

Why does the person you love most suddenly feel impossible to reach? In this powerful talk from the Tony & Sage Robbins 2025 Platinum Partners Relationship Event in Tulum, Mexico, renowned energy medicine pioneer Donna Eden and psychologist David Feinstein explain what's really happening in your body during conflict and why you can suddenly feel like you're on completely different wavelengths than your partner. It's not just communication. When stress hits, your body shifts into a survival response, and in that moment, you lose access to the part of your brain that helps you think clearly, listen, and connect. That's why small moments can escalate so quickly… and why connection can break down almost instantly. What makes this different is their lens of energy, how your internal state directly shapes the way you show up, react, and communicate in real time. Throughout this session, Donna and David share simple, practical ways to shift that state, so you can interrupt the pattern, regulate your response, and reconnect even in the middle of conflict. If you've ever felt stuck in the same arguments or patterns in your relationship, this will change the way you understand what's going on, and give you tools you can use immediately. Please enjoy!

Building a business from your story doesn't always start with a business plan. For Shelby Perry, it started with a snowboarding accident, months of surgeries, and a forced stillness that turned into the most productive season of her life. Shelby is the founder of Eyehesive — a global, women-led platform dedicated to empowering people living with one eye. After losing her right eye in a snowboarding accident, she built a community, launched a physical product line of sleek adhesive eye patches, and is now hosting a retreat in Tulum. She did all of this while navigating sobriety, surgeries, recovery, and the very real doubt that comes with building something from nothing. This conversation is for every woman who has ever wondered whether what she's been through is enough to build something real. The answer is yes. And Shelby shows you exactly why. Here's what we cover: how Shelby turned a life-altering injury into a thriving mission-driven business, why following your intuition is actually a strategy, how she handles self-doubt and slow sales the same way she handled losing her eye, why your story doesn't need to be the most dramatic one in the room, and what to do on the days you want to quit. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN → Why building a mission-driven business from your story doesn't require the most dramatic experience in the room — and what actually matters more → How Shelby built Eyehesive one intuitive step at a time — from social media journal entries to a physical product launch, four and a half years in the making → The reframe she applies to slow sales weeks, low engagement, and hard seasons — the same one she used when she lost her eye → Why your lived experience carries wisdom, gold, and lessons that someone out there needs — and why sharing it is a responsibility, not a risk → What to do on the days you want to quit (this one is simple, and it works) CONNECT WITH SHELBY PERRY Website: https://eyehesive.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eyehesive/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Eyehesive ABOUT SHELBY PERRY Shelby Perry is the founder of Eyehesive, a global, women-led platform dedicated to empowering people living with one eye. After losing her right eye in a snowboarding accident, Shelby experienced firsthand the lack of support and adult-friendly solutions for eye loss. She turned that challenge into purpose by creating Eyehesive — offering sleek, functional adhesive eye patches and a thriving community focused on visibility, confidence, and connection. Shelby is passionate about building mission-driven businesses that combine innovation, advocacy, and community impact. READY TO BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE? Our attendees weren't the only ones with huge takeaways. My husband Dan Martell and I recently hosted a couples retreat in Tulum. It's easy to see that when you spend intentional time with couples who live the marriage you want to have, it changes the way you see your own relationship in a powerful way. During this episode, I'll reveal some of the most impactful takeaways I had from our couples retreat. We'll explore why the couples you surround yourself with really matter, and what to look for when you're connecting with your partner. In this episode, you will learn about: What the couples who showed up to this retreat were actually showing up for. The biggest realization I had at this retreat and how it influenced the attendee list. How the people you spend the most time with influence your marriage. The importance of consistent, daily rituals in your marriage and what it can look like. The secret to building safety and trust in your relationship (no grand gestures needed). What you can do to rewire your brain and change the way you see your own marriage. What this retreat reminded me about my own marriage, and why I want this for you. In June of 2025 I finally traveled to a place I have wanted to visit for some time: Mexico. The final stop on my Mexico trip was the one I was most excited about: Tulum. The smaller ruins of Tulum are picturesque, located right on the Caribbean coast. There is also a lot of nature to enjoy, and I got to see it up close with a boat ride and canal float. This story is in the first person and past tense. Important vocabulary in the story includes: “siglo” (century), “abejas” (bees), “miel” (honey), “aretes” (earrings), and “despedirse” (to say good-bye).No matter where you are in your language journey, stories will help you on your way. You can find a transcript of the story and read along at https://smalltownspanishteacher.com/2026/03/22/simple-stories-in-spanish-mi-viaje-a-mexico-parte-4/ ¡Muchas gracias por escuchar! In this final interview of the Tribe Graduate series, I sit down with Dustin Poole, the only Manifestor graduate from Tribe Class 003, and brother… this one hits deep. Dustin's story is powerful because it's not just a transformation story. It's a full awakening story. The kind of shift that changes the way you see your past, your relationships, your body, and reality itself.Dustin found this work at a crossroads. After ten years of marriage, two daughters, and a life built around the identity of “husband” and “father,” everything began to collapse. Divorce became the catalyst. And like so many men, his mind tried to reach for the familiar answer: more muscle, more women, more external wins. The old idea of “alpha” as performance. But deep down, Dustin already knew time wouldn't fix it. He had seen too many people stay miserable for decades, thinking distance alone would heal the wound. What made Dustin different is that he was already a seeker. He grew up overseas in a Muslim world while being raised Christian, and early on he felt the conflict between love and dogma, between truth and ideology. He couldn't accept the idea that loving people could be condemned simply for believing differently. That friction became the doorway into a deeper spiritual question: why are we here, what is existence, and what is this experience of being human?Inside the Academy, Dustin began doing what every man must do to wake up: he watched. He listened. He observed himself. He saw patterns. And he realized the same truth every awakened man eventually finds: our circumstances aren't creating our suffering - our thoughts are. Over and over again, he saw that the “problem” was never the divorce, the relationship, the social dynamic, the job, or the outcome. The problem was the story. The meaning. The program. The victim mindset. As Dustin explains in this episode, the single most impactful teaching across his two years in this work was learning the difference between a thought and a fact. That sounds simple… until you realize most men live their entire lives treating thoughts as reality. When you see that clearly, everything changes. You become the observer. You stop taking life personally. You stop reacting. You stop trying to fix the world from your ego. And you start living from the Alpha state - calm, grounded, intentional, and free.We also dive into Dustin's experience in Tribe, where the curriculum goes deep into ego, Spiral Dynamics, healing, unity consciousness, and Human Design. Dustin shares what it meant to finally understand himself as a Manifestor - a rare energy type designed to initiate, to move, and to make impact. It gave him language for experiences he couldn't explain before: feeling repelled, moving differently, leading naturally, and learning how to approach people in alignment. Then we get into the in-person gathering - the brotherhood experience of coming together after a year of calls, models, growth, and transformation. Rituals. Movement. Connection. Presence. Cold plunge. And finally, Dustin shares a personal healing experience from the plant ceremony in Tulum that will challenge your view of what the mind and body are truly capable of.If you've ever wondered what's possible when a man dedicates himself to awakening, to mind mastery, and to living in unity… this episode is your answer.
Whether you are struggling with depression, addiction, or seeking motivation, Justin's story is a roadmap for anyone feeling lost in the dark. "I was the youngest heavyweight in the country, and I was losing the only fight that mattered." In this powerful episode Kati speaks with Justin Wren for a raw conversation on mental health, resilience, and the recovery journey. Justin pulls back the curtain on a life of extreme highs and devastating lows, from the "merciless" bullying he faced as a child in Texas to the secret OxyContin addiction that haunted his professional MMA career. We dive deep into the "living nightmare" of substance abuse, where Justin managed a massive intake of pills while fighting on the world's biggest stage. He shares the heartbreaking moment he hit rock bottom after missing his best friend's wedding and the moment in Tulum that gave him a second chance at life. Justin also discusses his work with Fight for the Forgotten, his nonprofit dedicated to providing clean water and land rights to the Mbuti Pygmy people in Uganda and Eastern Congo.
