Like many of us, Katherine first entered the entrepreneurial space as a follower of the traditional “digital marketing guru”. But there was a big problem – the methods they taught were NOT made for introverts. That led Katherine to burnout… she wound up walking away from her business for three years until it hit her: to be successful, she had to do it on her own terms. Listen now! Can't-Miss Moments From This Episode:MythBusters, entrepreneur edition: Can you be animated and have a YouTube channel (or a podcast?) and still call yourself an introvert? Here's what happened when an entitled viewer tried to tell Katherine she was lying about being an introvert…  How the hell do you measure success? Not a trick question… have you even thought about what success looks like, for YOU specifically? Today I'm issuing you an Official Challenge™ to define it for yourself, societal expectations be damned.  Stop giving me your power: what most people get totally wrong when they hire a coach to help them out (hint: if you're looking for hand-holding and a step-by-step formula for success, here's why you're setting yourself up for disappointment)  A surprising business lesson from “Big Brother”… Katherine shares what separated the thriving contestants from those who fell apart — do you know which one are you in your biz? Polished social media presence or real-deal messy human? Katherine and I weigh in on which is more effective for your life (and your business)This one is jam-packed full of advice. Don't miss out - listen now!Katherine's Bio:Katherine Mackenzie-Smith is a business coach and strategist for introverts and highly sensitive souls, an ideas alchemist, energy and soul medicine practitioner, and host of the popular League of Extraordinary Introverts podcast. Well l can't believe this! I thought after season two, that was going to be the end of the League of Extraordinary Introverts podcast, but here it is. Over the past six months, so many people have asked me if I'm bringing the podcast back and I didn't think I would, but things change, hey? And here it is. Someone also asked why I've never shared MY story on the podcast after so many episodes of asking other amazing introverts about their work, I decided that Season 3, Episode 1 would be my one and only solo ep. It's weird talking to yourself and not getting to hide behind asking the questions, but I hope that you find it helpful. In this episode, I talk about: What it was like in my television career as a quiet, sensitive soul and when I decided to leave that to start my own business; Being an accidental entrepreneur who never planned to start a business; Starting my business and finding myself burnt out and worrying how I would be able to sustain working with clients and ever grow my business beyond what it was; Running away and hiding behind my partner's business for the past 3 years, and feeling shitty about giving up my momentum to be a support person. Yet again. The silver lining in my business; How to deal with overwhelm as a quiet, sensitive soul; How to put yourself out there in business, especially in the noisy online world; How to manage your energy as an introvert and learning to fine tune your intuition and get clarity, instead of looking externally for the answers.

In this episode of The League of Extraordinary Introverts, my photographer - Lauren Abi-Hanna of Sol and Co - and I chat about how great visual branding can speak volumes for you (if shouting from the rooftops isn't really your style). As a more introverted business owner, being the centre of attention and putting yourself out there can feel like the most uncomfortable thing EVER and that's why it's so important that your visual brand does a lot of the talking for you! In this episode, Lauren and I also chat about: - Why getting your photo taken can be so nerve-wracking - The fears that inevitably come up when you put yourself out there (and how to get past it) - The difference between your personal and business branding and supermodels - Practical tips to rock your next photoshoot so you have plenty of energy - Expert advice on how to take your visual brand to the next level.

So, you've been using 'I'm introverted' as an excuse to not go out and see the world? Me too (don't worry, you're not alone) But I'm sorry to tell you, the latest episode of the League of Extraordinary Introverts is about to bust that myth (for the most part). Yep, I'm talking to the events pro, Jade McKenzie of Event Head. In this ep we also talk about: How organising events is actually perfect for introverts (from Jade's personal perspective). Why events are integral to growing a successful business How to run events that work for you, your business, and your unique blend of introverted energy. Why slow and steady can be such a beautiful way to build a business. Not to mention having friends by your side. How to get started with your own events. And even some tips for introverts who want to attend more events and how best to do that. I get it, I'm a big fan of Netflix and PJs but Jade even managed to encourage me to get out and go to some more events.

Connie Chapman is one of the first life coaches that I ever came into contact with and she is often the first person a lot of my clients mention to me when talking about how they got started down the personal development path. By living intuitively and embracing introspection, Connie has been able to quietly impact people all over the world through her podcast, Awaken Radio, her insanely popular 90-Day Transformation Project, and her powerful one-on-one coaching. When she agreed to be the third guest on The League of Extraordinary Introverts podcast, I was over the moon (you might be able to hear in my voice how thrilled I am to be talking to her about her journey and the importance of introspection and living intuitively throughout this episode). Tune in to hear us talk about: - Being the opposite of an overnight success - The behind the scenes work of online business that no one else sees - Being open and introspective with your own feelings to impact others - Trusting your intuition as an introverted person (instead of looking externally) - Letting go of judgement from others of always achieving and doing what feel right to you. - Authenticity and taking time to tune inwards in the online world. Allowing love to overcome fear when pursuing your passions.
