I think I'm going to make use of my musical "mid life crisis" and do something up to sorta encapsulate the late 80s and early 90s Thrash Metal. Kids need to learn who Exodus was. Especially beacuse a lot of music from that era had an environmental message. We have a world premiere for everyone this week! Back in 1990 my tastes in music slowly shifted from Thrash Metal and Punk to a more electronic sound. There were two Toronto bands that helped me bridge the genres. Malhavoc and DHI. Both combined aggressive guitars with sequencing and samples. Both were obviously very influential on me. Well, 36 years later I get to debut a new DHI EP on RSA. I hope there are more to come! Spent the week basically bedridden as I "recovered" from my flu last week, then proceeded to push myself too far. So I spent a few days taking my time and resting, and voila! This weekend I get to play SysAdmin as my homelab (which stores all of my RSA material) had a disk failure in one of my servers. It's all parity protected, but I'm spending a good 20 hours moving data off another disk that I'm kinda suspicious of. If anyone wants to donate a stack of 16TB SATA drives to me, I wouldn't say no at this point. But because I have lost data in the distant past, I've already learned my lesson. But this doesn't directly affect RSA at all, as we've got a great show for everyone. A higher tempo than usual, but the first track I selected was 150 bpm(!), that sets the tone for the rest of the show! I apologize for missing last week, but apparently if you're unable to eat solid food for several days the pounds just melt away! I have some work to do on my health, but the work will be done. Having stood on Tower bridge in London, and the docks in Hamburg I'm just glad that the idea of bombing either city now is such an inconceivable thing.
