Things are more or less back to normal around here, as we prepare for the onset of Winter in Canada. This week I do put some emphasis on what the heck we're going to do about next years membership drive. I'm really looking for your feedback on what you'd like to receive in return for donations. I'm looking at Enamel pins (much like the Sanctuary pins that are on my "battle jacket"). Sadly the patches we did prior to the pandemic are insanely expensive now. If you have one, it's a collectiors item! THis wek we also expanded to 9 songs instead of the usual 8. I apologize for missing last week, but apparently if you're unable to eat solid food for several days the pounds just melt away! I have some work to do on my health, but the work will be done. One thing that I forgot to mention in this weeks show is that this week we have Remembrance Day in the Commonwealth and Veterans day in the USA. Having stood on Tower bridge in London, and the docks in Hamburg I'm just glad that the idea of bombing either city now is such an inconceivable thing. A few weeks ago I promised a theme show, I like to do extra long shows when I come back from one of my two "breaks" every year. It would appear that I've used up all of my RSA vacation time, so its smooth sailing from here to the end of the year. So my vacation didn't come off as I expected. I had a very, very large flare up of my anxiety disorder so I made the smart decision and stayed home rather be in distress while visiting friends. Its not the first time its happened, so I'm going to put a pause on overnight flights and multiple time zones. William Gibson once wrote that flying allowed us to travel faster than our souls, and it usually takes ~18 hours for them to catch up. I'm actually getting everything posted nice and early this week because I got up for my club Bike ride, and while I was in the shower it was cancelled due to the impending first heatwave of the year. While this is kids stuff compared to some places, I'm going to agree that cycling in temperatures including humidity reaching 43c (thats 110 in Freedom Units) is not a good idea.
