Title: Vulnerability, Leadership & Class Bio: As newly named president of e-commerce analytics firm Profitero, Sarah Hofstetter has a front-row look at the coronavirus-induced online buying boom—including which products are enjoying a huge boost from stay-at-home orders. Hofstetter became one of the most recognizable names in the ad agency business during her 13-year stint at 360i, most recently as chairwoman and CEO. She left the agency in 2018 to become president of Comscore, joining her longtime professional colleague Bryan Wiener, who at the time was Comscore’s CEO. Wiener and Hofstetter left Comscore in March 2019 after less than a year, citing differences with the board. Wiener was named CEO at Profitero last month at the same time Hoffstetter joined the firm, whose services aim to help brands optimize their e-commerce sales, inventory and content strategies. In this wide ranging interview, we cover: 1. CEO LIFE 2. COVID-19 3. online business 4. holocaust survivors 5. being an open book 6. branding 101 And much much more!-- --
Social-Emotional Learning: Stephanie Heck discusses how the pandemic is impacting family systems and the ability of students to learn from home.
Warning: this is an antisocial medium. Two washed-up "artists", who double as pizza guys, are now officially posing as podcasters. Your hosts, Kjell "The Wheezin' Norwegian" Bjorgen and Kevin Hagen launch the first installment of Deliver Us From People by arguing past each other about the fraudulence of others (and themselves). We initiate this initial installment with insults. Kjell brags about scoring an acting gig, starring as an alcoholic at risk for stroke. We dis, we cuss, then we discuss Kjell's obsession with 'The Hoff' and why Kevin doesn't understand, let alone share, his hatred for the ballyhooed performance artist. No more pussy-footing around - the first installment has been delivered.
The gang welcomes Patrick Hoffstetter into the studio! A host complains about the name of Jaguar’s electric crossover, the name of AMG’s sports car, and the name of every post-2002 Lamborghini. Danny and Chris argue about whether or not Chris is really over his ex and Chris wonders whether he can have a secret without it being discussed on the air. Danny describes wearing a wife beater that was too small and fit him like a sports bra. Chris tries to encourage Danny to lose ten pounds by the end of the summer but Danny refuses. Comedian and producer Steve Hoffstetter comes on the show, and describes how school lunches impacted his formative years. Danny loved school lunch when he was a kid. Steve likens his father to Homer Simpson and recalls a time he passed out flyers in the middle of a bitter cold December-and then lashed out at a fellow comedian who complained about July weather. Danny once joined the cross-country team to be near a girl he liked, and according to Chris he's still running the mile. The gang agrees that the movie "Eat Pray Love" feels like rape-even though none of them have actually seen it. Then Steve has to leave to pick up his dog from day care. Danny’s neighbor Peyton Clarkson and comedian joins the show and says that, although he is terrified of Danny, there are times he wishes he had a little more Lobell in his personality. Six months ago, Chris and Payton went to Danny’s barbeque and harassed and traumatized Danny’s pet chicken. Peyton says, in all seriousness, he has never met a bigger cunt than Chris’s ex and is glad she dumped him. How them boys gonna get outta this one?
